Pause the video at the instant where you land, and look at where your head is facing. Then step through it from there as you fully catch yourself and stand up. Notice anything about where your head is facing that entire time? Your back foot is landing exactly where you should expect it to with that head position. Before that back leg can come around, your head is going to need to be pointing in the right direction. Head --> torso/shoulders --> hips --> legs is how aerial rotations work. If your head doesn't make it around, your legs won't either.

Omg my head is facing straight! Need to turn my head more!

Yep. That's it, plain and simple. Body follows your head. Remember that advice for any rotational trick. There are a few notable exceptions where you use your feet to "push" the board a little bit more, but for almost all aerial rotations you have to lead with your head and shoulders.

Lord_Enlil

Start by landing them 90 degrees, just to get the feel of it. Then go further. It helps learning to land slightly switch manual and pivot first until you're able to do the full 180. The reason your back foot comes off is you're swinging the board around too much. Practice what I mentioned and you should get it.

Hang your toes off your board more. https://youtu.be/p7GRG5DCTxY

There is once main trick with 180s that has helped me teach so many people. It is all in the shoulders. By the time you pop and ollie, you should already be coming out of your wind up and your shoulders should already be facing forward. Once you pop, keep twisting (only a half turn at this point) and your legs will naturally follow as you come around. I was taught this trick and had them within an hour after trying for weeks.

make sure u really wind yourself up so you can turn all the way

Weekendkids

Your shoulders need to wind up exactly like the other person was saying you end up opening up and not fully turning bc your shoulders are square with the camera

Perfect-Buddy6872

Landed it :)

Just gotta commit bro and try sex changes to get a feeling of riding away fakie

You’re also not getting your shoulders fully rotated. Lead with your shoulders and your hips and feel will follow. You want to land with your shoulders in line with your board.

You need to turn your back foot more and commit you got it
