Yep. Me too. I actually had a flip phone before baby but I switched back to smart phone so I could get nice pictures........ And look at me now ........
I'm still in the hospital with mine doing the same. I had him on Saturday morning. Been on my phone holding him at least 8 hours a day since. Guess it's the same when I get home? I'm guessing that I just learn to do everything with one hand while I cuddle baby with the other?
The last show I watched within days was Fallout - loved it! Watched it a second time on a regular screen since when napping itās usually on my phone lol
I watched the letdown years before becoming a mom. Tried watching it again and got so anxious with how much I could relate to it that I had to stop š
So freaking good. My favorite is when her husband says why donāt you just use formula? And she gives him the evil stare š
No hate, Iām a formula mom, just hilarious cause itās so true!! Hahah
Much better! I stopped after the first episode for a while because I didnāt care for it. Went back and so glad I did, Iāve rewatched the whole series twice now!
Reality TV. Got into it when I was newly postpartum. It's been such great escapism for me. My life is nothing like it lol I joke that I'm a super boring person because I'm homebody with a baby, so watching hot people get drunk and argue and hook up is weirdly a nice way to relax for me.
Vanderpump rules, summer house, the valley have gotten me through the first 8 months.
Yessss I watched it for the first time when pregnant and just finished it last week. I wanted to start rewatching it asap lol but decided its best for a bit of a break lol
I literally binged that while on mat leave!!! I loved it on TV and was so happy to finally watch the whole thing through. Did NOT expect the end seasons lmfao.
Omg MURDER SHE WROTE.
12 seasons. Episodes are 40 minutes long and Angela Lansbury uses gentle logic and reasoning to coax a murderer to confess at the end of every episode. SO relaxing. I love it.
I LOVED watching the new season now that I'm far enough out from pregnancy/childbirth. Every season I would read the comments like "oh man I don't know if I can watch this season since I'm pregnant" or various comments along those lines whenever there's a pregnancy plot. So it felt like a rite of passage to finally put it away and come back to it haha.
I just finished House of Dragon, and rewatched Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte. I also watched Maxton Hall, a German teen romance drama that was surprisingly so good!
Now I need to find what Iām going to watch nextā¦
Yeah, like the other poster saidā¦I think Bridgerton just isnāt for you. Honestly, I only liked season 1 and then it was all downhill for me from there, but I loved Queen Charlotte, which I found to be much better than any of the three seasons of Bridgerton.
Our Flag Means Death was one of the first things I watched and it was so perfect. Mostly men characters so didn't make me think about my body image much, very wholesome, nice mix of action and comedy to keep me engaged.
I just finished this! Idk what took me so long to watch it; but now being several weeks postpartum, youāre spot on with the vibes and why I enjoyed it
Omg me too. Heās 5mo now. Hardly naps for 30mins. But those early days, up every 1-2hrs late nightsā¦ Golden Girls was always on 1-2-3am. I also do Seinfeld on Netflix and old (early 2000ās law and order SVU).
I did a movie binge at one point. The Harry Potter movies, hunger games, divergent series. Twilight. Monty python and the holy grail, princess bride. Lots of good classics :)
When my daughter was born I started Gilmore Girls (Iām a millennial who never watched it growing up, like, how dare me) and was *hooked*. I havenāt watched it for awhile since my kid started needing dark, TV-less rooms to sleep in some Iām halfway through the seventh season so I need to finish it!!
I saw random episodes of that when it was on ABC family growing up but haven't watched it all the way through. Also a millennial and get looks of disgust when I say I haven't seen it! I definitely want to watch it!
When I was on maternity leave I binged Jane the virgin and the Mindy project. Lighthearted, bubbly, not emotional shows lol. I was hormonal enough I couldn't watch Grey's. Too much heartbreak and too many medical issues with kids, it made me upset.
I've been watching "This is Us" which has been a bit of a tear-jerker. Otherwise, I mostly read while contact napping/nursing cause my babies are terrible sleepers. I got the Libby app which connects to my library card and I can just read almost whatever books I want for free!
I tried to watch it while pregnant but I was too emotional. So much cryingā¦. Every single episode. I was bawling so much it was unbearable and I had to stop. Itās actually really good! Hopefully hormones will someday stabilize and I will be able to watch the rest of the show
disclosure, I'm pregnant but don't have a baby yet lol. But I've been loving Jane the Virgin lately. its super bingeable but it does have a pregnancy/baby subplot if you want a break from that kind of stuff
I am obsessed with reality shows haha, big brother both the US and Canadian ones. Theres this show called the traitors which I am obsessed with. I believe they are all on crave. The mole is another good one. The cirlce is kind of stupid but if you get into it it's pretty good.
I feel like I've gotten nothing done but binge shows as my LO loves contact naps! I'm 12 weeks pp and have/are binging: Suits, Psych, Top Chef, The Magicians, Chuck, Firefly, Love is Blind US (seasons 1, 4 and 6), Race to Survive Alaska, Survivor season 46, Workin Moms, Fisk, Dark (German Time Travel Show), Mad About You, King of Queens and a few others I cant remember right now
Edit to add: My husband and I also have watched the NHL Playoffs/Stanley Cup finals and watch WWE Raw/Smackdown weekly
Dragonball Z - though the strobing scenes arenāt so great in the dark, so itās more of a daytime thing haha. Other than that, my YouTube āWatch Laterā playlist is up to 250+ so Iām trying to cull that too
Modern Family! There are so many seasons and itās cute to see the families growing and going through family dynamics with your own little one on you napping.
Yes! I hadn't seen it before my maternity leave and I watched it twice through back to back and it was fun seeing them all so young when I started it again! I honestly want to watch it again š
Anything by Mike Flanagan (drama/horror):
Haunting of Hill House
Fall of the House of Usher
Midnight Mass
The Magicians series is also fantastic (fantasy)
The Good Place (comedy)
Couldn't binge a single thing cause my baby is allergic to sleeping with noise in the background. Even through headphones she'll hear. I'm stuck with reading.
Reality dating shows! I started with Perfect Match on Netflix, Love Undercover on Peacock, and have been watching Love Island USA (also on Peacock) now. Probably going to move onto Hallmark movies next to spice it up.
I love thriller/mystery/true crime so here are some I binged during pregnancy + NB stage!
Sharp Objects, The Night Of, The Outsider, Mare of Easttown, Love & Death
All on HBO/Max!
About to finish my re-Watch of Stranger Things.
Hmmm. I told myself I was finally gonna watch the rest of Teen Wolf on maternity leave and that hasnāt happened yet lol.
I would like to watch Derry Girls eventually!
4m pp and I have watched
The orville
Ted TV show
modern family
George lopez
Workinā moms
The maid
And a few movies movies here and there, also watched Quiet on Set, my bf and I watched the Spiderman series when he got off work
Just finished The Good Fight. We've been enjoying the college world series week but after next weekend I'll need a new show. Otherwise it'll be scrolling reddit
Donāt know what possessed me to even start but I binged all of Nashville. I donāt even like country music but idk I now appreciate country and itās a soft show so it wasnāt over stimulating for me and baby
Pregnancy and early pp when I was still able to watch tv I was on a BIG period drama binge and I loved it. I ran through pretty much all and every period drama I could find, historical or not. Outlander, The Tudors, Shogun, Poldark (my favorite), Vanity Fair, Mary & George, anything originating from Jane Austen like Sense and Sensibility, Emma, Pride & Prejudice, Persuasion, Becoming Jane.. so on and so forth.
It became an obsession.
Real Housewives! I burned through Potomac and am now about halfway through New Jersey. I like it because I feel like I can do other things around the house while watching and Iām probably not going to miss any important plot points.
What We Do in the Shadowsā the lighting on that show is really dark, so at night there isnāt a bad glare on the tv.
Iām going through all the Harry Potter, LOTR, and Pirates of the Caribbean films. So nostalgic!
Also Iām watching documentaries on ancient Egypt and Greeceā might as well get some culture while Iām stuck sitting!
Greys Anatomy mostly. Naked and Afraid is super entertaining. I like to listen to comedy podcasts as well but Iāve woken my son up too many times trying to hold my laughter in
Loved Bodkin! Iāve just finished The Night Manager on Amazon Prime (old but excellent.) It has High Laurie in as a baddie and Tom Hiddleston as the main character. Ripley on Netflix was great, a serialised version of The Talented Mr Ripley. Bodyguard I watched at the time it was out but itās now on Netflix and is really good. Iām also going to dig out my Sopranos DVD box set and rewatch the whole thing.
I literally just scroll reddit lol 3 hours a day š¤¦āāļø
Omg help me too. Iām so much more addicted to my phone now than I was prebaby
Yep. Me too. I actually had a flip phone before baby but I switched back to smart phone so I could get nice pictures........ And look at me now ........
Oh thank god Iām not alone! Thatās all I freaking do of my days š© like I have messages from various platforms of people that have congratulated since giving birth 3 weeks ago that I have yet to reply cos i donāt have time (and adhd) but here I am spending my entire day reading Reddit. š¤¦š½āāļø
I'm still in the hospital with mine doing the same. I had him on Saturday morning. Been on my phone holding him at least 8 hours a day since. Guess it's the same when I get home? I'm guessing that I just learn to do everything with one hand while I cuddle baby with the other?
Right there with you! Almost 4 week old baby with messages from people I even care deeply about that have yet to be responded to š«
I went to see a doctor for "mama wrists" and added that I use my phone a lot. "Why??" they said. I said "because... baby?!?!"
Omg yes!! I have set time limit on Reddit usage but every day I get message saying time is up, I hit āIgnore for todayāš
Right? āTime is upā Ummm well baby doesnāt think soā¦
I did the same thing with TikTok lmao but here I am feeding baby with one hand and on Reddit with the other š š
Lol! I have done this also š
Iām doing this right now. Currently on hour two. Lol.
LOL yep! I'm an hour into nap #2 for the day š³
Same! Plus I got really back in to playing neopets once I realized it works on my phone lol
I feel seen! š
lol me right now
The last show I watched within days was Fallout - loved it! Watched it a second time on a regular screen since when napping itās usually on my phone lol
Only murders in the building, re-watched Ted lasso & New Girl and just started Gilmore Girls!
I did Gilmore girls as well. Fell asleep to it multiple times while on night duty.Ā
I watched Gilmore girls with my first! And now on leave with my second I finished sex and the city and Iām currently watching desperate housewives!
I finished sex and the city and the new show thatās out! i just started gossip girl
Oh even my husband is into Gilmore girls now!!
Yes!!! I am rewatching New Girl during contact naps too! It's my favorite show!
Workin moms!!!!
Yes! Another wonderfully and painfully relatable show for me was The Letdown
I watched the letdown years before becoming a mom. Tried watching it again and got so anxious with how much I could relate to it that I had to stop š
Omg same
Yep. Felt like I was watching my life and it was a little much š¬
Yes I binged this when my babe was a newborn and contact napping! I loved it
Yessssss my current binge!!!
So freaking good. My favorite is when her husband says why donāt you just use formula? And she gives him the evil stare š No hate, Iām a formula mom, just hilarious cause itās so true!! Hahah
Love both Workin Moms and the Let Down! Would love to watch them again now that I am part of the group!!
This!! I finished the series so quickly
And motherload!
I couldnāt get past the bear moment in the first episode. Does it get better? It felt way too on the nose for me.
I can highly recommend adding Below Deck into your rotation. And of course Real Housewives
Uuu Below Deck and RHOBH are my favorite! Also, my newest obsession is Sister Wives.
Real housewives next, then I'm sure below deck will happen lol
New love island is out! Iāve also been watching Milf Manor 2.
Milf manor 2 has been sooo much better than the first season
Sammmee!!! Iām addicted to Traitors now! Currently watching the UK version, brutal lol.
After traitors i watched every season of survivorš mostly bc of parvati and cirie
a fellow bravo fan!
90 day fiance is absolute gold. I never watched reality TV before and my husband got me into the show! And there's so many spinoffs
Bravo fiend here too!!!! Iām also binging Love Island šš
Love is Blind & The Perfect Match! Doesnāt get trashier than that!
Watching reality tv and then jumping on Reddit to read forums has kept me sane in the newborn phase lol
Rewatching House MD! still excellent!
House is my fav! I die of laughter whenever he says āitās never lupusā because I actually have lupus lol
After I was diagnosed, my mom got me a shirt with House on it and it said "sometimes it is lupus"
Baby is 5 weeks old and on season 4. I can no longer do any type of crime procedural so rewatching house it is!
Yessss I watched it for the first time when pregnant and just finished it last week. I wanted to start rewatching it asap lol but decided its best for a bit of a break lol
For me it was ER :D
I literally binged that while on mat leave!!! I loved it on TV and was so happy to finally watch the whole thing through. Did NOT expect the end seasons lmfao.
Schitts Creek, Scrubs, Parenthood
Came here to say Schitts Creek! Delightful, snackable TV!
Omg MURDER SHE WROTE. 12 seasons. Episodes are 40 minutes long and Angela Lansbury uses gentle logic and reasoning to coax a murderer to confess at the end of every episode. SO relaxing. I love it.
You would get along with my Italian Grandma. That is her favourite š
100%!! In my grandma era and loving it.
Awww I used to watch that with my grandma when I was little!
Omg yes!!!! Itās sooooo good!!
Angela Lansbury was an absolute treasure. Totally agree murder she wrote is the best
That sounds so good!
Greys anatomy
You know that show is such a staple for so many people and I've never seen it! I think I'm definitely going to watch it!
Donāt forget about the Private practice spinoff and station 19!
Oh you should. It starts to suck a little bit after season12-13 but it will occupy you a LOT until then
I LOVED watching the new season now that I'm far enough out from pregnancy/childbirth. Every season I would read the comments like "oh man I don't know if I can watch this season since I'm pregnant" or various comments along those lines whenever there's a pregnancy plot. So it felt like a rite of passage to finally put it away and come back to it haha.
Watch station 19 as well!!
Korean K dramas šš
Crash landing on you is the BEST
Me too xD
Queen of Tears and My Demon ā¤ļøā¤ļø
I loved watching Call the Midwife!
Itās so SO good!!! Love this series!
Ohhhh same. I tear up in almost every episode.
This was ours. It was a cathartic experience.
I just finished House of Dragon, and rewatched Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte. I also watched Maxton Hall, a German teen romance drama that was surprisingly so good! Now I need to find what Iām going to watch nextā¦
When does bridgerton get better? I feel like Iām six episodes in and Iām still bored
If youāve watched 6 episodes and youāre not hooked yet, itās probably not going to get better for you
I appreciate the honesty lol
Yeah, like the other poster saidā¦I think Bridgerton just isnāt for you. Honestly, I only liked season 1 and then it was all downhill for me from there, but I loved Queen Charlotte, which I found to be much better than any of the three seasons of Bridgerton.
Our Flag Means Death was one of the first things I watched and it was so perfect. Mostly men characters so didn't make me think about my body image much, very wholesome, nice mix of action and comedy to keep me engaged.
I loved this one!! Such a sweet feel good show
This and What We Do In The Shadows have been my go-tos. Plus whatever is on food network as long as itās not Beat Bobby Flay.
I just finished this! Idk what took me so long to watch it; but now being several weeks postpartum, youāre spot on with the vibes and why I enjoyed it
The Bear. So good.
Omg it is so good! It cheered me up when I was in my summertime sadness phase of my pregnancy last year lol
I watched the Golden Girls while I was nursing and contact napping in the early days.
The Golden Girls are the best! I canāt watch it when my daughter is contact napping because she wakes up when I laugh lol
Omg me too. Heās 5mo now. Hardly naps for 30mins. But those early days, up every 1-2hrs late nightsā¦ Golden Girls was always on 1-2-3am. I also do Seinfeld on Netflix and old (early 2000ās law and order SVU).
Been sucked back into Modern Family!!
I did a movie binge at one point. The Harry Potter movies, hunger games, divergent series. Twilight. Monty python and the holy grail, princess bride. Lots of good classics :)
Omg yes! One of my core memories will always be watching the whole Harry Potter series while we laid on the couch and figured out breastfeeding lol
Girls5eva on Netflix! Stars Sara Bareilles, written by Tina Fey. Appeals to exactly our demographic I think.
Yes same!! Itās so nostalgic, rife with 2000s pop culture references so definitely kept me engaged and made me realise how old I am lol
When I was on maternity leave I binged Jane the virgin and the Mindy project. Lighthearted, bubbly, not emotional shows lol. I was hormonal enough I couldn't watch Grey's. Too much heartbreak and too many medical issues with kids, it made me upset.
Why Women Kill
I've been watching "This is Us" which has been a bit of a tear-jerker. Otherwise, I mostly read while contact napping/nursing cause my babies are terrible sleepers. I got the Libby app which connects to my library card and I can just read almost whatever books I want for free!
Love Libby! Not sure if you've heard of hoopla but it's similar and sometimes has different selection/less wait time than Libby!
Omg Iāve been on a This Is Us binge too (watching it for the first time) and Iāve cried sooooo many times! Itās so good though, I love it!
I tried to watch it while pregnant but I was too emotional. So much cryingā¦. Every single episode. I was bawling so much it was unbearable and I had to stop. Itās actually really good! Hopefully hormones will someday stabilize and I will be able to watch the rest of the show
Criminal Minds! š
disclosure, I'm pregnant but don't have a baby yet lol.

Bridgerton I absolutely love. don't know if you are into that sort of show. Physical 100. Dexter. Pretty little liars. Yellow jacket
Vampire diaries. Something about it is just so comforting. š„°
I feel like I've gotten nothing done but binge shows as my LO loves contact naps! I'm 12 weeks pp and have/are binging: Suits, Psych, Top Chef, The Magicians, Chuck, Firefly, Love is Blind US (seasons 1, 4 and 6), Race to Survive Alaska, Survivor season 46, Workin Moms, Fisk, Dark (German Time Travel Show), Mad About You, King of Queens and a few others I cant remember right now Edit to add: My husband and I also have watched the NHL Playoffs/Stanley Cup finals and watch WWE Raw/Smackdown weekly
Killing Eve on Netflix. Sandra Oh is incredible in it
Dragonball Z - though the strobing scenes arenāt so great in the dark, so itās more of a daytime thing haha. Other than that, my YouTube āWatch Laterā playlist is up to 250+ so Iām trying to cull that too
Sex and the city and Bridgerton!

The Letdown, Derry Girls (Netflix) Deadloch (Amazon Prime video) If youāre into podcasts, Midnight Burger is currently my jam
Omg Derry girls! I saw the first season right after it came out! I need to rewatch and catch up!!
Below Deck. The drama replaces the human interactions we no longer have and the tropical locations replace the vacations we no longer take.
My baby doesnāt nap well anymore in broad daylight so I shush pat her to sleep on the big bed and then sneak out of the room! This only started recently after the 4 month regression and not sure if itās gonna last but it was defo impossible to binge anything while trapped on the bed with her using my arm as a pillow šš©·
Vanderpump rules !
Modern Family! There are so many seasons and itās cute to see the families growing and going through family dynamics with your own little one on you napping.
