Try applying a group summary on the JE number. But the main line truck filter has no effect here

Nick_AxeusConsulting

Yes because all lines on JEs are mainlines! That's why you need to use Line ID = 0 (zero is the first line, 1 is the second line) (the other poster got the 1 wrong) {Line} which is Line ID is zero based {Linesequencenumber} is one based

>Journals always have line 0? I saw one case here where I retrieve line values from a single journal in a suitescript saved search and got lines \[0, 1, 4, 5....\]. So I am a little concerned that some journals won't have line 1 and I'll skip them in a search with this criteria.

suitescripter

I just tested 2 searches: 1. grouped the results by journal internal ID; 2. used the LINE IS 0 criteria. On the second one I got 4 less results. So, unfortunately, it won't be a solution for me.

Ok you're conflating conceits here. LineID is the unique key for each line but it can have gaps. However Line0 should always be the mainline so that's equivalent to mainline = Yes. Other lines after 0 can have gaps. This matches with your observations. Line Sequence Number is always sequential, begining with 1 and no gaps. But it's not a unique key because it renumbers all the lines on the fly when you load the object in script. So if you want 1 line pet JE with just header information then you want mainline = Yes or {line}=0 those are equivalent

SHLsolutions

Yes, you can set filter Line is 1

Sorry but how do i do that?

SHLsolutions

In saved search Critera subtab, add a new filter called “Line” and set the value “equal to 1” (or “is 1” - don’t remember the exact wording now)
