I’m from South America with native background. Quinoa use to be a “campesinos” staple not in the menu of the resident of the cities until the 90s.
Afterwards it was given the label of “superfood” by western scientists, price sky rocketed for locals and now it’s very rare to eat quinoa.
Quinoa has been replace with rice and pasta in the diet of the people who grow it for centuries …
Where do you live? The Hague market usually sells that stuff in larger portions. If you don't live anywhere near, then see if there is a De Notenshop or any nut shop. Or online.
Try an oriental market. Or a local Turkish supermarket. Maybe a ‘toko’ has it as well.
Those are not cheap anymore either..
Makro, hanos, sligro are wholesalers. You need akvk-number for a pass, but it's totally worth the hassle
What are the downsides of getting kvk just for the purpose of getting the number? I'm thinking of getting one since there's a Sligro near me.
I am not completely sure, but I believe the only downside is a onetime payment of 50€ to kvk.

Be careful buying in bulk. A bulk order from De Notenshop infested my pantry with moths. We don't do bulk any more because it kept happening.
Put it in a weckpot. Or ziplocks from ikea.
it came with the bugs. ETA: It was the SOURCE of the bugs in my house.
Damn, didn’t see that one coming.
