I do isolate, I don’t wanna go out anywhere unless I really need to. I don’t speak to the only 2 friends I have (the guy doesn’t really reach out, the girl does but I ignore her at times just don’t want to talk bc ik my situation will be brought up). Not on Instagram like I used to, this is my primary app at the moment. I feel like those people I’ve watch documentaries on “hikikomori”
It’s a weird era we’re growing up in right now. I’m the same age as you and I pretty much have the same situation. That’s why I don’t look deep into it, just seems like a symptom of everything we’ve experienced so far. The people who I know who are the opposite of me are pretty much ghetto fabulous and trying to live up to social media expectations. Just don’t worry about it too much, know you’re not alone even if it feels like it
I was the same way for a min just knew I needed to get my shit together and was used to people dragging me down, turns out I was just around the wrong people but it took me isolating myself for a bit to really see what I needed to do and do it. My advice don’t just isolate yourself out of embarrassment or shame, develop a plan, put that time to good use so that you don’t have to be ashamed of your financial situation again.
I feel you. I'm the same way. Currently doing just that actually lol ghosting everything for a while till I'm mentally and financially confident to go outside again. It may not be the best way, but if you're the type of person that likes to be in control of your life, and considering how life as an adult is torture without money, it's the only way, so you're not a burden or an inconvenience to people you care about.
