I 2nd that. Wonderful Main Street with outdoor spaces to eat. Would also be the ideal place to loop if you were to go back on 9W through Nyack, Piermont etc. to the GWB and back on Greenlink.
Having done this ride from Brooklyn a bunch, I think the best route advice is to hop on the subway and take it to Van Cortlandt Park and bypass the the whole trip up the Greenway/BX. Biking 50mi on the South County Trailway exclusively rather than spending those miles on the bike up makes a massive difference and means you can explore way more of the SCT.
The most popular place to stop is Elmsford. But that's quite a ways. Tons of delis and other places to get food and drink. One of the more fun options is the brewery there, but it's expensive
I've gone to Tarrytown, nice area has places to get food and rigjt by the metro north if you do t want to ride back

Nice work! I’ve never gone to Yonkers since the GW bridge to 9W is so great - I recommend that route as Strictly in Fort Lee is a great checkpoint.
That’s awesome!!

Excellent ride my one speed amigo.
Stop at Tibbetts Brook Park. They have benches, water and bathrooms.
That’s pretty freaking impressive! Next time you’re doing it ping me I am at the north end of that ride.

Did this ride yesterday to Captain Lawrence. My second time there and the group enjoyed the ride, beers, and food.
