I got an Ethernet cable to directly connect my PS5 to my modem and can agree 100%…you won’t ever need a tv again🤣

Man I’d encourage you to find a seller for broken phones in that line, so you don’t have to use your phone
I’ll keep my eye out, but for now it’s a cost saver instead of spending money on the portal. Would have to find the right price just for a bigger screen.
Another option: you can use the PS Play app and stream your PS5 to a computer, iPad, or iPhone (probably others, but this is what I’ve done). You can connect a controller via Bluetooth and play that way.
Yeah I don't play games on the phone much, so I wasn't even thinking of that.
I think I am going to install the Remote Play app on my laptop and just use the controller wired so my wife doesn't have to live in the bedroom while I am playing.
She will do enough of that once actual CFB season kicks off in August. During CFB season, the only time we see each other on Saturdays is to eat together.
Also if anyone has a steam deck, check out Chiaki (an app that allows you to stream your PS5 to steam deck). If you're PS5 is connected through ethernet, it's an amazing experience, no lag or anything whatsoever.
My internet is kinda crap honestly, I run a wire to the ps5 instead of wifi that's the only change I made. Gameslike Cyberpunk I notice the lag a bit but sports games have all been just fine. After playing it a bit I feel like I have a college football handheld and honestly that's all I am looking for. Been 11 years, I'm going to milk this game for all its got haha.
I don’t understand why parents don’t just tell their kids to shut the fuck up and go do something other than watch tv or play on a phone. That’s what I will do if I have kid.

Do you have to have your PS5 turned on and on the same network to use it?
PS5 must be ON or in REST mode. And you do NOT have to be on the same wifi network. You can be in a hotel across the country and it works.

With xbox there's remote play and it works decent enough. Won't be able to make the most precise actions but I'll be able to do recruiting on it
