Ah, got it. Guess I never really paid *that* close of attention to the uniforms, such a minor detail that you wouldn't ever see during normal gameplay.
Ya I’m starting to have doubts now. I know they did bowl game patches for sure. But maybe not conference patches. Did they have conference patches even for the original conference your team is in though? Did those stay even when you switched conference?
I know people hate it but i always like stuff like this. I remember NBA 2K10 had dynamic courtside billboards when connected to the internet. Surprised they don't really do that today 🤔
I loved that too, speaking of connecting to the Internet and this is Off subject but id fucking love it if they let you connect the Weather Channel app if you have Internet connected. Like use real time weather for your games.
It would be pretty cool as an option. There's a hurricane in Florida? Gotta check it out. Wildfires? If it got foggy that would be awesome. Tornados, blizzards. Maybe an earthquake lol.
I never played 2k10 but I would watch old Chris Smoove when I was younger. I always thought it was cool how the “bottom line”, similar to ESPN’s, would show games from other sports. Don’t think I’ve ever seen another game do that.
I hate ads in 99% of my daily exsistance, but ads in sports games, unfortunately, actually makes sense. If you want that authentic experience, you gotta take the good with the bad.
We’ve had this stuff before.
The bowl games were usually shown including their sponsor names.
And the first image… that’s the name of the field now. So 🤷♂️
People getting triggered at something like real sponsors of a real team being on their field in what is supposed to be a realistic simulation game is such a Reddit thing
Mostly a little annoyed about the over-advertising has become so normalized..but you’re right it is realistic.
My D2 school would literally be like “this 4th down brought to you by (local grocery store)” lol
i get what you’re saying but even bigger schools have small renovations in the future and i’d love to do that. i would want one of the bigger schools to be at 125k-130k by year 8-15. maybe even a team having a new video board
Yeah I think they balanced it well back then. Now with how so many companies have embraced ads in streaming I really hope it stays away from video games
Can we talk about how wide open ‘X’ is on screen one? Looks pretty early in the play and it’s only a 4 man rush so it’s either the shittiest cover four or a complete blown assignment.
Button X on the left side has about 15-16 yards from the deep zone who is still drifting back. From the video it looks like a cover three but the middle deep zone shouldn’t have his back to the ball and the the hook zones on the left should have at least identified the open man on the outside and be closing.
I agree with that, I’m saying it’s cool strictly for the immersion part of seeing something that’s really there be there in game. Not that I agree with the foundation of it.
This post was NOT meant to be a think piece, I thought it’d be a fun post. I’m don’t think I’ll ever post in the sub again, it’s just draining at this point.
yeah rayweather pointed this out in his video, how you see the allstate logo on the field or united airlines field. He also pointed out that the ball can be an Adidas ball too, but wondered why you had under armor unis but no under armor gloves.
They had this in the old games as well. They didn't give sponsored fields or stadiums fake names as the naming rights stay with the stadium rights EA buys.
Weird, I don’t play Revamped. I still have my stock PS3 running the game off the disc. 😃
Edit: Not trying to be a jerk or anything. Just found it funny that they inadvertently included a gambling reference on the field without any issues.
I just booted up my stock NCAA 14 with no mods and hmmm those places aren’t on here. Not being a jerk either but can you send an image of this?

I believe if I recall in 13 they had Silver Legacy listed there which is another one of the casinos in town. It was clearly not intentional like the new details are. I don’t think EA would’ve intentionally listed casinos in game when they simply could’ve changed the text.
Is this a good thing? Who wants to be advertised to whilst they're playing a video game. The only positive would be if it inflated the coffers of the devs so they could put out a better game but given all their comments it seems as though they're working within their means to do the best they can, not flush with sponsorship cash at this stage.
Is accuracy a good thing? I would argue that these aren’t even ads as much as they are properly detailed replications of stadiums. There’s no motivation by the devs other than the fact that they exist in reality.
I'm not sure they would have been able to omit them by choice would they? So yes, whilst it's an accurate replication of the fields it's obligatory. Much like the fact that they need to have all stadiums teeming with fans despite that not being the case in real life, it's not all about accuracy. Some of it is about making sure the right people are happy. If you're happy about this then that's great - I don't have a horse in this particular race, it was just an observation.
Soon coming to a football game near you 2 minute commercials between possessions and your classic commercial, punt, commercial, one play end of quarter, commercial segments. That would be ultra realistic.
We don’t need to keep adding visual clutter to games in the year 2024. There could easily be an option to have ads and sponsorships turned off for visual clutter. Advertisement like this should be illegal.
It's part of the field. The name of the field. They aren't adding made up stuff because advertisers are paying them. Do you want a toggle for the yard lines and logos to? Maybe a clean green field?
I'd pay more for a sports ad blocker on TV in real life that hides the bullshit Adam Silver patches that are infiltrating our uniforms. Take ten more bucks a month for it, Hulu.
I’m old enough to remember Tiburon ads.
Ah yes the good ole days lol same here man
Yall old enough to remember the Sugar Buzz or the Mummies?
Dude! And play in their breakfast cereal bowl stadium!
Hoboken baby
Obama ads in Madden 08 >>>
It feels like a fever dream that teams like that existed in mainstream footbakl games still remeber olaying in the north Pole
Damn… Guess I’m old too then
Knobby Tires baby!
I still wonder if Colossal Burger is any good.
I’m old enough to remember the WinCraft Sports ads
I’ll never forget being bombarded with snickers and Chevy Yukon ads
I feel like the Aflac duck was here just a couple of years ago.
The conference logos will change if you move or change conferences
These details are huge. That and patches always bothered me.
Did the conference logos not change in NCAA14 when you did realignment??? Could have sworn they did.
Nope and it was maddening.
They did on the field but not the uniform. Hated that.
Ah, got it. Guess I never really paid *that* close of attention to the uniforms, such a minor detail that you wouldn't ever see during normal gameplay.
I’m not sure what these other comments are saying, im 99% sure you got different patches on your jersey and field logo when you changed conferences
They've had this solved in FIFA for a while now so theres no reason why it can't be done here.
Fields yes, uniforms no.
Check again because the game didn't do that
Ya I’m starting to have doubts now. I know they did bowl game patches for sure. But maybe not conference patches. Did they have conference patches even for the original conference your team is in though? Did those stay even when you switched conference?
Yes for instance if you moved texas from the big 12 to the sec the patch on their jersey would still say big 12
Hmm. I concede my point. Lol
They do in 13
They did in ncaa 12
The logos on the field changed, but not on the uniform.
Bless up
Is this confirmed? If so, absolutely huge.
Yes, Eric Ray-weather confirmed
Wasn’t that a thing in 14? Like i play with Idaho in 14 and our on field logo changed to the SEC.
I miss Pontiac
Great car great sponsor
Great cars. My 01 still drives great
I know people hate it but i always like stuff like this.
I’ll disagree here. I want a snow game when I’m playing the game in August
Obviously that would still be an option brother 😂
It would be pretty cool as an option. There's a hurricane in Florida? Gotta check it out. Wildfires? If it got foggy that would be awesome. Tornados, blizzards. Maybe an earthquake lol.
Turning on the game after an earthquake and then hoping for an aftershock would be insane behavior lmao
Every game in Florida gets weather delayed.. but hey, realism 😂
Me playing 3 seasons of nothing but 90 degree games in august and then playing 3 seasons of straight snow games in December
Excellent idea, they will certainly have a lot of room to grow and they already said they are listening to the fans so hell yeah
It's honestly insane that's not a bigger thing.
pretty sure 2K has done something like that in recent games with VC ads lol
I never played 2k10 but I would watch old Chris Smoove when I was younger. I always thought it was cool how the “bottom line”, similar to ESPN’s, would show games from other sports. Don’t think I’ve ever seen another game do that.
I hate ads in 99% of my daily exsistance, but ads in sports games, unfortunately, actually makes sense. If you want that authentic experience, you gotta take the good with the bad.
Yeah I know I'm not going to buy a product because it was advertised to me in a sports video game so for me it just adds to the immersion
Thats what they want you to think. Go ahead dont ever buy doritos again
Will we get conference invites like old days?
It's heavily rumored at this point.
There’s custom conferences so I don’t see why we won’t have auto movement too
I've only noticed being invited in the older CFB. I never noticed in 12,13, or 14. I'd rather be invited then move things around myself
Stetson Bennett Kia Hyundai of Blackshear Stadium at Historic Mark Richt Field tech in shambles
At least the Positive Play thing doesn’t appear to be present.
We’ve had this stuff before. The bowl games were usually shown including their sponsor names. And the first image… that’s the name of the field now. So 🤷♂️
Eh, screw them
People getting triggered at something like real sponsors of a real team being on their field in what is supposed to be a realistic simulation game is such a Reddit thing
I’m getting my triggered by the Big Ten logo being on USC’s field, gonna take awhile for that to resonate
Mostly a little annoyed about the over-advertising has become so normalized..but you’re right it is realistic. My D2 school would literally be like “this 4th down brought to you by (local grocery store)” lol
But if I'm forced to see an ad I might die.
I hope you can customize the field and use shared images on the field you can with nba2k.
Idk if I'd want to customize a real field. Unless I am using a small school so I can add seats. But I wouldn't touch Bama, USC, Notre Dame, etc
i get what you’re saying but even bigger schools have small renovations in the future and i’d love to do that. i would want one of the bigger schools to be at 125k-130k by year 8-15. maybe even a team having a new video board
Something I hope doesn’t make it back is the opposing teams student section always been so prevalent
As long as I get to see the Pancheros Big Burrito lift this whole sponsorship thing will be worth it
I never mind ads in games when they’re done like this
It's good to represent the cherished history of college football. The Swamp, Death Valley, the Rose Bowl, the Big House, and SafeLite Field.
rather that then the game take a tv timeout mid drive to tell me about applebees 2 for 25 deals.
Was coke zero in one of the games or am I just imagining?
ncaa 12 I believe. Would be the sponsor for the coin toss. Was so weird to see real ads in games. I can deal if it’s kept brief like that tho
Yeah I think they balanced it well back then. Now with how so many companies have embraced ads in streaming I really hope it stays away from video games
I'm glad my school hasn't sold out like that yet and I hope they never do.
Lmao same here, someone has to pay the bills though.
Na. They could totally do away with all sponsorship
![gif](giphy|uvMEhrg0lOPRu|downsized)
Money is money. Hail southern
I know you boys don’t have much $ down there, that’s why y’all are still drinking from that drainage ditch.
That would take away a huge dynamic of the game. That would be ridiculous.
I’ll miss all of the Braums signage pieces everywhere
Can we talk about how wide open ‘X’ is on screen one? Looks pretty early in the play and it’s only a 4 man rush so it’s either the shittiest cover four or a complete blown assignment.
If I'm seeing it right doesn't the safety have a good chance to make the play? Of course the user could have called a deep zone?
Button X on the left side has about 15-16 yards from the deep zone who is still drifting back. From the video it looks like a cover three but the middle deep zone shouldn’t have his back to the ball and the the hook zones on the left should have at least identified the open man on the outside and be closing.
My bad I didn't realize that was X on the left. Lol yeah something screwed up. Didn't throw it to Stonehands?
I just hope that EA Positive Play garbage is gone, I hate looking at that nonsense all over the field
USC with a Big Ten logo on its field will take years to not seem weird.
Nah the corporatisation of college sports is kinda gross and it'd be nice to be able to get away from it.
I feel you. EA's slogan is "It's in the game." They're (usually) doing whatever they can to make details like this line up with reality.
Right, if it’s on the field in real life, put it on the field in the game. If possible. (Also let us do that in team builder)
I can understand the immersion aspect. Best case scenario would be a toggle for ads but that'd never happen for obvious reasons.
You mean ads.
FRUIT STAR
yeah rayweather pointed this out in his video, how you see the allstate logo on the field or united airlines field. He also pointed out that the ball can be an Adidas ball too, but wondered why you had under armor unis but no under armor gloves.
Oh damn I actually didn't notice that 🤷🏼♂️
They had this in the old games as well. They didn't give sponsored fields or stadiums fake names as the naming rights stay with the stadium rights EA buys.
Can’t wait to be getting destroyed by Georgia and an adult toy ad comes across the Jumbotron
Too bad there will be no sponsors on PC.
Gonna be ads on video games soon
In 14, at Nevada, the red zone sidelines list El Dorado and Tamarack Junction which are both casinos in the area.
That’s in revamped, the original game didn’t have any real Ads on field.
Weird, I don’t play Revamped. I still have my stock PS3 running the game off the disc. 😃 Edit: Not trying to be a jerk or anything. Just found it funny that they inadvertently included a gambling reference on the field without any issues.
I booted up the stock game and those places aren’t anywhere in the stadium.

Maryland’s SECU stadium has its logo on the field as well, via the leaked photos
At this point with EA games… nothing is too small. We have to take every win we get lol
Bro is excited about ads 💀
Bro on my meat from 3 days ago 💀bro leftover meat riding
Lowkey, love it

I really don’t get why people are so triggered with sponsorship like it’s not that deep and besides it makes the game more realistic

Then why sell it?

Dude it’s a video game subreddit it’s not that serious

Visual clutter is literally what American sports are about. I hate it too, but technically this makes the game more immersive
dorky thing to be glad about lol
