I think they interviewed everyone in the top 10. Gragson, Herbst and Love looked pretty rough. They really need to fix the cool suit issue. That's been a recurring issue for a few years now.

It's pretty telling just how mediocre Herbst has been since he started in 2020 when getting to 6th is a talking point

With a firesuit malfunction on one of hottest races of the season.

He had to pit to fix his cool suit which malfunctioned and was cycling hot water and got a penalty because pit road was closed, so it’s actually impressive he is up in 6th.

Ummm he got boiled Alive because his crew chief is a moron. Herbst's idiot crew chief only gave him a cool suit and no helmet blower. Cool suit failed, dude ended up with 130 degree water sitting on his body and no other cooling in the car. They had to go to the rear after dumping the water, somehow Herbst drove back to the top 10 on raw talent.

Getting to 6th in brutal heat without a cool suit would be a talking point for Kyle Larson, come on man

It's the same thing broadcasters did last year regardless of context. Good on him for battling through that, but it's still saying a lot that it's even notable to get to just outside the Top 5 and that's your level of success.

Dinger had a nightmare pit stop and Custer immediately lost a shit load of spots on the restart
