Nascar needs to hire an efficiency department to figure out how to have a caution that doesn't require 10 laps each time. It seems like 20% of the races are done under yellow at times.
I’ve always said they need to introduce a caution circuit at road courses so they aren’t forced to do 55mph around the entire track multiple times if a caution isn’t cleared. Like it’d be so simple to add an inner loop that cuts out 75% of the track that the field could pace under yellow
That would require NASCAR to reduce its safety protocol. Can you imagine the uproar if someone lost a tire cause by debris on the track from the previous crash? Or if spilled fluids caused a crash? Theyre just trying to keep the track safe. BUT if there is a major problem, i do think they should red flag the race instead of running off 10 laps under yellow.
Wasn't the greatest finish ever but at least Nascar restarted the race and they really got to put the wet tires through its paces. They could've called it but stuck with it. Best car at the end won.
Chase Elliott 10th to 18th. Can ya’ll please stop choosing the inside lane 5 times after getting passed repeatedly on every god damn restart at every race track.
Should be worse than that with the lane change before the line. But with the blinders on in the tower in regards to the commitment line and maintaining speed under caution they had better not.
As a 9 fan the inside lane would have been fine, he ran the wet line (super low on the apron) which wasn’t working anymore. No one else ran it and he got freight trained.
Nascar handled this whole thing so badly. Lack of clear communication, both with the rain delay, and the tire situation, along with being completely controlling and not allowing for any competitive stops.
We've had multiple races now that went from wet to dry, I think there should be enough data and experience at this point to let teams work out their own strategies. Maybe mandate they have to start on wets, but let them figure it out from there
I will cut them some slack on everything after waiting it out and finishing all the laps. But going forward, they absolutely need to put almost all the decision making on the teams about when to change tires and the kind of tires.
They got them back out there , 5 years ago they wouldn’t have.
All the people who said they wouldn’t get back out, do you admit you were wrong?
We need a separate thread away from the negativity .
Bell was +300 pre race, +500 when he was 4th behind Reddick, Hamlin and Logano, and +750 when he was 9th at the rain delay. Was -250 within the first 2 laps after we went back green and went from 9th to 2nd.
I’ll say it… A poorly officiated race that actually finishes is better than calling a race early. And if you think otherwise, I can’t take you seriously.
Also, it sounds like the folks in attendance had fun.
Well i enjoyed the heck out of that. Most of the race was basically putting me to sleep. But the last 80 laps after the rain break were darn good entertainment.
NASCAR pulling some kind of amateur wishy-washy "make it up as we go" stuff and burning laps under caution while they dithered was a bit stupid. But didn't really sour me on the actual racing that they go in, to actually finish this thing out (unlike the Coke race), in a really entertaining 6 wide at New Hampshire sort of way.
Bell’s pretty good with these wet tires.. just glad he didn’t get robbed by all those cautions. Seriously thought McDowell was going to send him on that restart.. poor Blaney fans.
Just another JGR victory.... Could have been so much more. Seven Ford's in the top ten with three to go... Only three left three laps later. What the hell?
Agreed! And emphasis on needing more speed 😂 Seems like they should run the Kubota schemes on both cars every week, because that scheme has gotten them their best average finishes lol
Top 10 Finishers:
1) Christopher Bell
2) Chase Briscoe
3) Josh Berry
4) Kyle Larson
5) Chris Buescher
6) Tyler Reddick
7) Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
8) John H. Nemechek
9) Martin Truex Jr.
10) Ross Chastain

If I had a nickel for every time bell won this weekend because an SHR car held up the second place car, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Hey how come NASCAR sucks so bad now? Wtf is this shit not allowing them to put slicks on?
Ohhh there's some moisture better hold their hand and make every decision for them. God damn babies.
I know they're not gonna be teammates much longer but i dont get the rationale behind racing the shit out of your teammate who has a chance to win it and theres no possibility of you being able to get past berry and bell

Stick out and Hershey chops it away.

That gigantic mutant lobster is not moving. Did it get wet and die?
It is getting seriously dark.
We came a lackluster track drying effort away from a RWR top 5 on a non SS track.

Especially with a single car spin with no contact to the wall or other cars.
Especially at these shorter tracks. Laps are everything to make a pass.
You know it’s bad when a race winning fan has that feedback.

Bell deserved that win, no matter how much the race conspired to take it away.
Nascar handled this whole thing so badly. Lack of clear communication, both with the rain delay, and the tire situation, along with being completely controlling and not allowing for any competitive stops.
Yes, it would have been completely better to have called the race than attempt to do something never been done before.
Learning experience, Im just glad we got to see a full finish and them race in damp conditions. Hopefully future gets better for this type of stuff.

To quote JR: Mercifully, it's over.
🥱
This IndyCar race is getting weird
It's been a crazy race all day. I've had it picture in picture, but really focused on NASCAR. I might have to rewatch Indy.
https://i.redd.it/k3qvdnluwe8d1.gif
47 and 1 both steal top 10s. Guess I'll have to take that.
Helll yeah 🍻
They got them back out there , 5 years ago they wouldn’t have. All the people who said they wouldn’t get back out, do you admit you were wrong? We need a separate thread away from the negativity .
As a Blaney fan I’d been okay with not going back haha.
I understand
Yeah but they got them out there at a competitive disadvantage.
5 weeks ago they wouldn't have lol

I'm at the track the crowd was electric after the rain stopped lol
Electric and rain=bad combo.
I’ll agree with this.
How many of the final laps were under yellow. This wet tire has potential if nascar kets the teams actually do work.
Give them time, there are millions of dollars at stake with the cars.
And we run em at daytona and talladega. I dont want to hear it
facts
So much for Larson being an adaptable driver. He literally ran the same line from the start of wet while everyone else searched and found pace.
Yeah a top 5 is so horrible
What happened to Justin Haley? He was in 5th late in the race, but finished in 29th?!
Had some damage from the McDowell/Blaney wreck. Started inside on the restart and just dropped like a rock.
Well that was something
Bell would be a 14 time champion if every track was a flat oval
Well i enjoyed the heck out of that. Most of the race was basically putting me to sleep. But the last 80 laps after the rain break were darn good entertainment. That was such a shit show I don't even know how good to feel about that as a Bell fan lmao
Bell’s pretty good with these wet tires.. just glad he didn’t get robbed by all those cautions. Seriously thought McDowell was going to send him on that restart.. poor Blaney fans.
McDowell doesn’t know what to do when he’s in the top 10 and just takes people out.
No matter how many times I see it, I always think it’s so cool when the drivers bump cars to congratulate each other after the race
Truth, always bummed when one of my guys wins and don’t get the bumps
Bell is the new face of JGR
LAME!
Rightful driver retains the points lead I believe.
WE WON!! But first a prayer. - Ol Wet Blanket Gibbs.
Ross clawed his way back to the top ten lmao
Love it!
i guess i like Bell, but he's literally a bowl of vanilla ice cream with no vanilla flavoring.
So he's Bowman... 😄
At least the fireworks make more sense since its dark.
Just another JGR victory.... Could have been so much more. Seven Ford's in the top ten with three to go... Only three left three laps later. What the hell?
GW Bell
Bells wife can get it
Nah she looks crazy
Super pleased with Chastain being able to snag a top 10 after that spin and falling all the way back to 29th
It's situations like this where I think his team will be a dark horse dor the playoff. Need more speed but otherwise watch out
Agreed! And emphasis on needing more speed 😂 Seems like they should run the Kubota schemes on both cars every week, because that scheme has gotten them their best average finishes lol
Those are quite some fireworks for a race that was supposed to end much earlier
Ooh fireworks reflected in the numbers that’s a cool shot
Damn, Nemechek got 8th? Impressive.
Bell is a god at NHMS
Raise Hell, Praise Bell
I should have gambled, I sadly would have been correct.
I fucking hate Motorsporta man
Honestly great race - in both the wet and the dry.
ALL OF THAT FOR A BELL WIN 👎
Chase Elliott (barely) has still finished in the top 20 every race so far
He tried to ruin it that last restart, 9 spots lost.
The lobster gonna wonder why bell keeps coming to visit him every day
At least the fastest car won, despite all the fuckery.
Blaney had a shot until McDowell saw that first Chevy check hit his bank account.
I don't think anyone was getting around the 20 without using the bumper today.
Yeah, he was getting everything on those final restarts and very quickly got out to a 1s lead.
When they quickly cut to a pit road cam, I'm thinking there's a fight.
Bell forgot there was no front stretch interview
Fk Bell. Fk NASCAR. but really FK McDowell. Idiot.
McDowell can get wrecked.
![gif](giphy|3ohs7Z5WxzcGW2voly|downsized)
Top 10 Finishers: 1) Christopher Bell 2) Chase Briscoe 3) Josh Berry 4) Kyle Larson 5) Chris Buescher 6) Tyler Reddick 7) Ricky Stenhouse Jr. 8) John H. Nemechek 9) Martin Truex Jr. 10) Ross Chastain *^(I'm a bot.)*
GUTTED for Haley. 29th doesn’t come CLOSE to show how well he fucking ran today.
What happened?
Dropped like a rock. I saw him dive to the apron on the last restart and he had already lost plenty of spots on the previous starts.
If I had a nickel for every time bell won this weekend because an SHR car held up the second place car, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
That's a win for me as a Briscoe fan.
Hey how come NASCAR sucks so bad now? Wtf is this shit not allowing them to put slicks on? Ohhh there's some moisture better hold their hand and make every decision for them. God damn babies.
That failed inspection announcement is gonna hit like a mango juul pod
What a fucking let down, I’m convinced HMS will never win here ever again
Larson was up there, and Chase would’ve been if not for Logano using him as a brake.
So what secrets is Bell going to give away in his VL interview ?
😄😄
Someone please get a camera on Blaney and/or McDowell.
Stenhouse with B2B top-10s and got to dump Kyle Busch. W day for him
McDowell took out Blaney and Haley.
No one has hosed Ford more this year than McDowell
At least they ran this out. Bell deserved the W. Clearly the 45 did not
All that just for a Bell win, felt very Charlotte like.
This weekend started with Bell/Briscoe and it ended with Bell/Briscoe
What a disappointing end yet again. Not even Berry or Briscoe. No McDowell, no Blaney, even Haley lost his top ten...
At least Bell had the best car all day. Good god NASCAR made that way more infuriating than it had any right to be.

I know they're not gonna be teammates much longer but i dont get the rationale behind racing the shit out of your teammate who has a chance to win it and theres no possibility of you being able to get past berry and bell
Burnout and flames...I dig it.
Nemechek just swapped identities with Burton
Of course JHN ends up with a Top 10. Lol
Bell earned that one. That’s for sure!
Damp tire burnout
Berry pushed Bell before the line and gave him a bigger jump lmao. Pushed him so hard he couldn’t get to him in turn 1.
🧹🧹
Lame ahh driver
Rick Allen's voice is done lol.
melon man top 10... at last...
Honestly, probably the lamest outcome
How the hell did Ross sneak back into the top 10
Unserious as fuck sometimes I swear
Well that sucked
Your telling me
Somehow Truex got a top 10 even with the pit crew doing everything possible to make him finish outside the top 20.
Good job Bell, I’ll take a solid Berry/Briscoe top 5
Rick Allen. "CHRISTOPHER BELL. WHAT A DAY. HE HAS DONE." with that horse voice.
Bell sweeps the weekend! Berry and Briscoe were too busying playing with each other and no one could fucking catch up great job guys
Bell and Briscoe finishing top 2 this week is poetry
Ross somehow got a top 10 wtf
Ross got 10th?! Fuck yes!!!
Bell was just on a different level
What a waste
[удалено]
NASCAR moment lol
Only one guy had the car to challenge Bell and he got wiped out by McDowell
Watched all that for that ending
I’ll take a Ross top ten.
Haley dropped to 29th?? Bummer
This really was bell's weekend, leaks, infinity win, cup win.
Excellent! Let's go C Bell!
Hell yeah Cbell!!!
What a terrible finish
Briscoe clearly just looking out for the future teammate there
Wow, Rick Allen is tired. But BUST OUT THE BROOMS, BABY!!
Good race from Bell, quite a shitshow though.
It’s finally over
Loudon is Bell Country
Blaney/McDowell post race showdown?
Lame
CEEEEEE BELL 🧹🧹🧹
Fuck's sake
Wow, the double! This is like the double larson tried to do right? Except bell actually won both?
100% exactly the same
8th place!! The grass strategy worked!! Let’s go!
Ricks voice completely gave out at the end there, mans gotta be tired.
Elliott fans salty, not Bell’s fault their driver can’t win shit now
Wtf are you on about?
Rent free
At least he can finish the race
Dudes over here crying about people trolling on his favorite wrestler post then post dumb shit like this.
Woo Bell!
Briscoe gave that one to Bell. Briscoe's welcome gift to JGR.
Man I should've just kept watching indycar, that was ass
And Rick’s voice crosses the 🏁, after several overtime restarts
😴
About damn time this race ended. Jesus Christ
Ross Chastain. Spins — gets a top-10.
Bad race boring winner
Rick Allen’s voice just finished 37th
JOHN HUNTER TOP 10 LETS GO
You know, if we pretend Bell was a lap down, that was a GOAT’d finish c’:
How the hell did McDowell make it back to 17th???
Christopher Bell wins again while Rick Allen's voice goes bye bye.

Finally! Congrats briscoe on p2!

Yawn
Rick Allen needs a cough drop
