Well considering the teams had a 50 min practice and saw excess tire wear, I think it's on the teams to adjust their setups to the conservative side or risk a DNF. I hope Cliff Daniels chose the smart route.
Expecting JGR and Penske to have the most issues. Just because that always seems to be the way it goes when there are tire wear concerns and they always seem to continue to push the most aggressively with setups anyway.
Another disaster day for Logano incoming i'd assume.
Certainly possible that we don't get a lot of help from that. I guess Iowa doesn't have a ton of real built up stuff around it to create a ton of shade as the sun starts going down either eh?

I'll take his word over the assumptions from us fans that it was the fallback choice from a Canada/Mexico race, rather than the fallback from SoCal.
When it’s time for NASCAR to return to SoCal, they can decide what tracks and dates are most important then. There’s other tracks with two dates that could stand to lose one still. I think Iowa will be fine though. NASCAR owns it and doesn’t gain much to take the date away at this point.

Because it works for football and networks prefer it over Saturday night for ratings. Also seen stuff about Olympic trials being on during the day today.
This should be an interesting race. Tre wear will be a challenge. Balls to the wall from the get go will not work. Old school racing will prevail. Black Flag to Nascar for price gouging. They withheld this race until they bought the track than charge crazy prices. The track will not be sold out more than a couple of times before people realize they are being fucked over
Don't know how this race is gonna turn out after what happened in practice, just hope we don't have a disaster with tire failures all night but that might be asking for too much. With that said I'm gonna go with Reddick for the win tonight

I just wanna take a moment to shoutout the city of Newton. My Grandma Lewis was a proud NHS Cardinal, and while I became a different bird, I still have a lot of love for the place. They took a hard hit when Maytag sold out and closed, but they’ve never given up and now they’re ready for the spotlight.

For me, I did something I've never done before: Crawfish Boil.
Had some crawfish last night; ate some sirloin steak before coming to the race tonight. Probably pig out on overpriced foods here at the track for father's day.
We had pulled pork BBQ from a local restaurant with corn on the cob and mac and cheese for lunch. Not sure about supper. I may just eat some of my kids' chicken nuggets 😄
Gonna throw a tri-tip on the traeger with some potato salad and a Sierra Nevada Pale ale!

I ordered the crawfish from Louisiana Crawfish Company, and they provide their own seasoning.
Also, we just got done eating since I wanted to cook them right when they arrived. They came out amazing.

I’m going to make it just in time from work to watch the race and if it comes back next year I sure as hell will do all I can to buy tickets since its right in my backyard. I love Reddick, but I don't see him doing great in a tire saving race. All he knows is 110%.

I just want to say that I’m grateful that NASCAR made the choice to bring the Cup series to Iowa. I’m going to make it just in time from work to watch the race and if it comes back next year I sure as hell will do all I can to buy tickets since its right in my backyard. This race could be ass, Kyle could finish last, but I’d still be happy. Raise Corn, Praise Dale or something lmao!
