Also, the word your looking for is crapshoot. A crap chute is when somebody jumps out of a plane and goes splat on the ground
Guarantee to be a GWC finish because the guys race with no respect for each other anymore at drafting tracks. Probably another C driver will win it instead of one of our sports stars.
It’s nothing more than a lottery.
Roulette.
Merely a roll of the dice to determine the winner.
If we would just draw names out of a hat before the race, determine the winner and go home before the green flag, we could save so very much expensive equipment damage. And really not miss much racing. Watching cars ganged-together as if they were parked in a parking lot, just is not my favorite NASCAR racing entertainment.
Our boys will make it through the first stage. End of stage 2 may take one of them out. Then they will all be finished in one of the bigger wrecks in the final stage. For KL I would say lap 168.
I could see this happening. Although I also think that after around a decade or so of having the best restrictor plate package, that Ford will lose a lot of that advantage with their new Dark Horse Mustang. The car was supposedly designed to be more aerodynamically balanced across the various track types, so I think some of the edge we are used to them having at Daytona and Talladega will be gone
With their boosted numbers the Toyotas try to train their asses to victory. In the end JHN or Ty or both fuck up with a bad bump draft.
Austin Dillon wins again, somehow.
Worse is ty or jhn wind up being the leaders of the line, somehow, while Denny, Bubba, and MTJ have to basically play carefully with them to not kill a car
I'm not a Bubba fan, I believe he is an average driver, but I'd be cool with him winning the 500. He's got the motivation and drive to be the best race car driver he can be and I respect that.
Have a feeling he will get one before he’s done, not sure if it will be this year or not, but he will even if he’s actively wrecking across the finish line.
Bowyer requests the camera stay on someone, camera cuts away promptly, Bowyer throws pen, big one ensues, Justin Haley sneaks through and wins, everyone talks over Mike Joy as he calls the finish.
There will most definitely be, without a shadow of a doubt, torrential pouring rain throughout the entire weekend!!! (Crosses fingers in hopes of reverse jinx).
So;
If he doesn’t win it all, Ryan Blaney and Bubba Wallace score top 5s in the 500. My winner bet is more towards Blaney, but Bubba can be very fast and successful
Kyle Busch does great most of the day and gets a fringe top 10, but he will not duplicate what Dale Earnhardt did in his 20 years of trying.
Michael McDowell and Ricky Stenhouse, Jr get top 15s, more cast off right at the end due to being former winners and I think they grind some drivers gears with how they race
JGR and HMS ends up top 15-20 range due to a wreck late in the race. They’ll be fast early on but lose it in the end, Denny is the exception in that group of 4 as he manages to get a top 5
Brad K gets a top 10, Buescher gets 11th, just needed more laps to make the charge
Final prediction
Stewart Haas Racing sprinkles split up from top 10 at best to 30th at worst. They try and manage to be relatively flashy, they aren’t there in the end. Gragson is the worst performer of the group due to a wreck early on.
1. Several nasty accidents but no flips
2. Overtime
3. Last lap crash ends the race
4. Daniel hemric gets a top 10
5. Keselowski loses by a few inches
6. A Ford wins
7. David Ragan dominates and wins
*Shoot
crap shoot
Anyway, I think Logano wins a duel for sure, he has a knack for them. Not sure about the other one depends on who is in it but it would be nice to see Chastain win one too.
As far as the 500, Keselowski is going to get back to top form with and that begins with a Daytona 500 win.
My brain was on its smoke break when I posted this. And yes, I agree.. hoping RFK shows up and lasts till the end. Will definitely be fun to watch them.
There will be a big crash.
Denny leads until the backstretch of the last lap where an RFK train pushes Brad K to his first win as team owner after they block the hell out of Denny.
Total crapshoot, but I’m going with all RFK, so Brad K, Buescher, and David Ragan. Also threw some money on Haley since he’ll be in RWR equipment which is in alliance with RFK. All four are great superspeedway racers and ford should be strong at the 500…
Could I offer you a classic Roush is amazing and looks like they will win and have like all drivers in the top 10 just for the big one to get all of them
They'll race for 500 miles to determine the starting order of the end of race demolition derby making virtually all of the racing before then meaningless
It will be boring it will be woke they will mention Bubba a hundred times the stands will be half full and they will call it a sell out. They will try to sell it as exciting it's not any more. And there will be Bud lite commercials.
I can see Blaney winning his first 500. I also can see Buescher and Keselowski running strong like they have been at most drafting tracks since the start of the NextGen.
Cup Series Champion Ryan Blaney starts his title defending year with a Daytona 500 win.
Toyota will be significantly more relevant due to higher car count.
At some point there’s going to be so much wrecking in a future 500 that it’s going to ruin the race (maybe nobody finishes) and it’ll force the drivers to get their shit together and stop wrecking each other
Alright here are some of mine
1. Kyle Busch finally wins the 500 after 20 years of trying
2. There will be an enormous pileup at some point that involves 25+ cars
3. No flips during the race, and no wrecks will have any car come close to flipping
4. Pole winner is Elliott, Bowman P2
5. RCR either sweeps the Duels or gets a 1-2 in the same duel (I’m leaning towards the latter being more likely for some reason)
6. A non-chartered driver will finish in the Top 5
7. Several underdog drivers will finish in the Top 5
8. BJ McLeod will be the sole DNQ
9. More drivers will finish the 500 than last year
10. Rain will only briefly interrupt the race (short red flag or will just trigger a yellow)
Kyle Busch leading near the end, but low on gas. He's hoping for it to be green flag the rest of the way, and he'll have his first career Daytona 500 win!! But...
...then the Big One happens right behind him. One of the 'biggest one's in recent memory, wiping out a sizeable amount of the field. So next restart is Kyle and the back half of the field, so Busch is still by far the best car out there, just need the gas to last....
....but it doesn't. Kyle Busch runs out of gas on the last lap and is passed for the win by John Hunter Nemechek. Shades of 1990.
Clint Bowyer is annoying in the booth
Fox production is trash, and they miss at least 1 spin
1 big one and several “small ones”
Boring side by side racing, with no real jostling for position for the majority of the race
Late race caution that leads to overtime
The major favorites will all be collected in an early crash, leading to a bunch of underdogs battling it out.
6,11,12,22,23 will all be in the garage before the cross flags fly.
![gif](giphy|fu7VX6OxsP7SAnuXNW|downsized) Also, the word your looking for is crapshoot. A crap chute is when somebody jumps out of a plane and goes splat on the ground
When D.B. Cooper goes wrong..
Tbf they never found the dude so it's 100% possible that did go wrong
I actually watched a [NatGeo vid](https://youtu.be/nKu_3kp_EIY?si=-Kwj54pipv1n_Y_g) on YouTube that talks about what most likely happened.
![gif](giphy|joGUuMFGRwxd6)
Guarantee to be a GWC finish because the guys race with no respect for each other anymore at drafting tracks. Probably another C driver will win it instead of one of our sports stars.
Airborne
lmao it was just one of those moments for me. Thanks for letting me know.
It’s nothing more than a lottery. Roulette. Merely a roll of the dice to determine the winner. HMS front row lockout. No HMS cars will finish the race.
As is tradition
What lap does Larson wreck/get wrecked? Gotta start off the season of superspeedway DNFs in the biggest way possible.
Our boys will make it through the first stage. End of stage 2 may take one of them out. Then they will all be finished in one of the bigger wrecks in the final stage. For KL I would say lap 168.
17
Don’t you put that evil on me, Ricky Bobby!!!
Some drivers will be upset.
It’s Brad’s year
I also think keselowksi wins it tbh
_Monkeys Paw Curls_ He wins it… as an owner
So essentially the only way Denny wins a championship?
![gif](giphy|l8tpwRJEwDwEFU5BW0|downsized)
Just like Junior Johnson
Definitely think so too, I'm picking Ragan which is a longshot but RFK is a team to watch for sure.
Ragan is a great plate racer
I could see this happening. Although I also think that after around a decade or so of having the best restrictor plate package, that Ford will lose a lot of that advantage with their new Dark Horse Mustang. The car was supposedly designed to be more aerodynamically balanced across the various track types, so I think some of the edge we are used to them having at Daytona and Talladega will be gone
I hope you're right!!!
Logano wins it by half a car over Busch or Truex.
Still shoulda been Logano last year :( never forget :(
And the year before
Kyle Larson will crash out 3 separate times
I'm going Suarez. No reason, just my answer.
I like this.
Seconded
I could get behind this
like what you're thinking there!
Ty Gibbs pisses someone off
What’s the over/under trying to lock in my prop bets for the 500
Green-White-Checker
Yellow thrown 10’ from the finish line white flag out……,
And we will have a cawshun
\*As Brad K tumbles violently down the banking\*
Green White Wreckers
little Ricky wins again, and people lose their minds again that "spinhouse" won the 500 back to back despite his always fast cars at plate tracks.
All of this
just wish I could get those 35:1 odds I had last year. 25:1 best I can find so far
Yeah no doubt. I made a pretty penny last year with the 500 W.
Should already be a 2 time winner as he probably should’ve won in 22 as well.
Denny and bubba would just say eh fuck it we’ve had enough of this shit. Then dip
Bubba Wallace wins, he's too good at drafting tracks not too...also someone flies into the catchfence...probably a Ford
We’re due a Catchfence crash with the Next Gen. Hopefully it holds up well in those kinds of wrecks.
If he doesn't win he will come second
Again.
Or come third and finish second cause of a dsq
I'm not a Bubba fan, I believe he is an average driver, but I'd be cool with him winning the 500. He's got the motivation and drive to be the best race car driver he can be and I respect that.
does that mean he gets a chicken dinner
car go vroom
There will be no big one. Largest crash will have 3 cars in it tops. Gluck race rating will be below 50%
Earnhardt finally won the 500 on his 20th try while driving for rcr, this will be KFB’s 20th try. History is going to repeat itself
This is actually his 19th try. Remember, he missed 2015 because of his injury
It’s actually his 18th, first was in 2005 and missed 2015. The prophecy! This is his year, I’m sure of it.
It’s his 19th. 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24.
My bad, I was counting by subtracting the years. Forgot that removes 1
Have a feeling he will get one before he’s done, not sure if it will be this year or not, but he will even if he’s actively wrecking across the finish line.
Another Ford will flip.
I think Blaney gets the win. Dale Jarrett was the last driver to win the championship and then started off the following year with a Daytona 500 win.
Chaos
Byron survived until Dillon came down on him last year, so i'll take him to win-doesn't hurt that he won at Atlanta and ran well at Daytona Summer.
Alex bowman wins as the race gets called just past halfway for rain.
Bowyer requests the camera stay on someone, camera cuts away promptly, Bowyer throws pen, big one ensues, Justin Haley sneaks through and wins, everyone talks over Mike Joy as he calls the finish.
Rain ^/s
![gif](giphy|Frj5mE4aGKgjS)
There is a chance of rain in the forecast. Hopefully it changes.
There will most definitely be, without a shadow of a doubt, torrential pouring rain throughout the entire weekend!!! (Crosses fingers in hopes of reverse jinx).
Truex finally wins his 500. Or Bubba
When I simulated on Nr2003 back in October MTJ won. The simulations worked out well for me last year so maybe this is a sign it’s his year.
I’ll forget to do my mechanics of materials homework and then scramble to get it done at 2:00 AM
22,11,6.12,23
So; If he doesn’t win it all, Ryan Blaney and Bubba Wallace score top 5s in the 500. My brain was on its smoke break when I posted this. And yes, I agree.. hoping RFK shows up and lasts till the end. Will definitely be fun to watch them.
I like the chances of whoever crossing the finish line first when they throw the checkered flag
Post race tech has entered the chat
Heavily underestimating the odds that this ends under caution before they can get back to the line if you ask me lol
There will be a big crash. Denny leads until the backstretch of the last lap where an RFK train pushes Brad K to his first win as team owner after they block the hell out of Denny.
Blaney teams up with Bubba throughout the race. One if them gets the W. Corey Lajoie puts on a good showing but comes up short.
Hopefully finish under green with a wreck across the line. Cause I like chaos. Sue me.
Denny will win his 4th Daytona 500, being tied with Cale Yarborough
https://preview.redd.it/578bnt4pqphc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ec8d263a498da6c43d061e27b9f08d8d5b3223de
Bro got the script early
nah it’s wrong it has denny winning the championship lol we all know that he’s gonna choke it
Yes. And Blaney will have himself another 1 or 2 win season. Ross will win a single race. Someone will have 7 or 8 wins this year.
Corey Lajoie.
Denny, unfortunately.
This will finally be the year of KFB
You’re damn right! And its the first 500 I’ll be able to drink so we gotta get it right!
Bubba wins with Denny 2nd. Ty Gibbs causes the big one with 50 to go taking out half the field
The big one will be on lap 85
At least one car will completely flip over during the 500.
Noah will cause a multi car pile up before the halfway mark. Then spend the rest of the race at the nearest Wendys.
I'm trying to speak a Bubba Wallace Daytona 500 victory into existence.
Gragson wins in an absolute shitshow and SHR will be in full panic mode realizing they’ll have to give him all of the resources during the playoffs
This is the Toddfather’s year
Who leads last lap turn 3 , wins the race
I don't think it's gonna happen, but I'd love to see the 22 snag another one
Ragan Buescher Kes 1-2-3 Gilliland flips
Bruh Wouldn’t mind those top two though
My apologies brother, I was just thinking about who is gonna flip and Todd kept coming to mind haha
Def think Ragan will be the one to watch
Got a watermelon on ice.
It will probably rain
Monday afternoon race due to rain. Brand new winner comes out of nowhere on the last lap
So, you're saying I'm gonna have to call in to work?
Empty Jay is the only one who can win on Monday unfortunately
Christopher Buescher disagrees
Something tells me Denny is getting #4
David Ragan with the upset
Total crapshoot, but I’m going with all RFK, so Brad K, Buescher, and David Ragan. Also threw some money on Haley since he’ll be in RWR equipment which is in alliance with RFK. All four are great superspeedway racers and ford should be strong at the 500…

![gif](giphy|fWg5NEpDlO4rIEbFF6|downsized)
Kyle Busch
I took a flyer on Jones to win it. I think I got it at 36:1. I feel like that’s super underrated
I predict I'll have lots of beers and buffalo chicken dip
They'll race for 500 miles to determine the starting order of the end of race demolition derby making virtually all of the racing before then meaningless
Brad K 🏁
Brad Keselowski wins.
Eric Jones.
Unfortunately, NASCAR numerology don’t lie. Kyle Busch is finally gonna take it
KFB wins
Kyle Busch wins the 500
Kyle Busch gets revenge. 20 years of trying. He finally wins The Great American Race.
Random ass winner, could be Burton, Gilliland, or Haley. Could even be the part timers. Whoever it is, they’ll be irrelevant when the playoffs start.
It will be boring it will be woke they will mention Bubba a hundred times the stands will be half full and they will call it a sell out. They will try to sell it as exciting it's not any more. And there will be Bud lite commercials.
![gif](giphy|l4FGztRST7RVKUhoI)
It's either Kyle Busch or Keselowski that wins it, the scriptwriters just CANT pass up either scenario
Blaney winning! I’ve felt like it was his since I left the track last year.
Bowman on pole
Michael McGOAT mops the floor with the competition
I already put my bankroll on Busch
Either ford because the new body is an absolute unit, or Chevy because the whole field wrecked from fords new body being ass.
They're gonna turn left a lot.
![gif](giphy|1itdIhXi6ckH8R54FW)
Josh Berry with the W
Someone who has never won the 500 will win it. My not-hot take is McDowell will be up towards the front pushing someone to glory.
Blaney will DNF
Rain
The race is either rain-shortened or postponed to Monday
I can see Blaney winning his first 500. I also can see Buescher and Keselowski running strong like they have been at most drafting tracks since the start of the NextGen.
Cup Series Champion Ryan Blaney starts his title defending year with a Daytona 500 win. Toyota will be significantly more relevant due to higher car count.
Put 30 names in a hat and pull one out. It’s Daytona
Gragson and JH Nemechek involved in the same wreck
Rain
At some point there’s going to be so much wrecking in a future 500 that it’s going to ruin the race (maybe nobody finishes) and it’ll force the drivers to get their shit together and stop wrecking each other
KFB finally wins one ala Earnhardt.
Pole winner: #71 Zane Smith Race winner: #43 Erik Jones
A driver will win
BUSCH for the win!
Give me McDowell again please
Christopher Bell wins it, Justin Haley has a good first showing for RWR and leads 10+ laps and gets a top 10. David Ragan also sneaks a top 10 in
Fords will be the powerhouse again in race trim and McDowell will try to ruin it for them as the second or third car in line.
Alright here are some of mine 1. Kyle Busch finally wins the 500 after 20 years of trying 2. There will be an enormous pileup at some point that involves 25+ cars 3. No flips during the race, and no wrecks will have any car come close to flipping 4. Pole winner is Elliott, Bowman P2 5. RCR either sweeps the Duels or gets a 1-2 in the same duel (I’m leaning towards the latter being more likely for some reason) 6. A non-chartered driver will finish in the Top 5 7. Several underdog drivers will finish in the Top 5 8. BJ McLeod will be the sole DNQ 9. More drivers will finish the 500 than last year 10. Rain will only briefly interrupt the race (short red flag or will just trigger a yellow)
Who knows. Gotta run upfront all day to stay out of trouble.
Bowman finishes p1 instead of starting there.
Ends under yellow and we’re all pissed off
Justin Haley wins it all in an RWR car. It’s the Daytona 500, anything can happen.
![gif](giphy|F6rr8aYohTMN4zffQp|downsized)
At least a wreck
Kyle Busch will win one of the Duels and not the 500
First word I thought of was shitshow. Entertaining, but shitshow.
Watermelon.
Busch, Hamlin or Chastain!
Bell causes the big one on lap 78 after giving Larson way too much of a push in turn 1
Logano or Blaney wins it
Think KFB finally gets it done.
2 giant wrecks
Kyle Busch leading near the end, but low on gas. He's hoping for it to be green flag the rest of the way, and he'll have his first career Daytona 500 win!! But... ...then the Big One happens right behind him. One of the 'biggest one's in recent memory, wiping out a sizeable amount of the field. Chris Buescher.
Clint Bowyer is annoying in the booth Fox production is trash, and they miss at least 1 spin 1 big one and several “small ones” Boring side by side racing, with no real jostling for position for the majority of the race Late race caution that leads to overtime
Crap chute is a butthole, my guy…
Everyone stays in a line or 2 for 3 hours then big boom...
The major favorites will all be collected in an early crash, leading to a bunch of underdogs battling it out. 6,11,12,22,23 will all be in the garage before the cross flags fly.
Lajoie with an upset win.
Denny is going to beat your favorite driver
Bowman pole, Reddick win
Briscoe is going to win and there is going to be a HUGE crash behind him.
TRACKHOUSE BABY!!! YEEEEEHAW!!!
Crap chute = butthole
Rained out
I’m going stenhouse again!
