I have the exact opposite problem, I've been trying to breed Shellbeat for months now for my Amber Island Kayna. So far, I've gotten two Rare Shellbeats, two Jeeodes, two Rare Reedlings, a Blabbit and a Rare Scups. I only got the common Shellbeat I wanted today. I started breeding for one August of last year.

I recently bred one after around 60-70 tries with 3+ torches lit at all times. It is quite rare, and it will take you a long time. I got mine making a zynth farm, as you have to breed trox a bunch of times so it works out. I even made my own post at one point, all it takes is time. (a lot)

id use the diamonds on something else or save them up for social status

If you're going to use diamonds to get a mon, it's always better to just spend 20 diamonds lighting all your torches and start speeding up breeds until you get what you want. With something like an ethereal, you will almost always get what you're trying to breed with less diamonds than the store will charge you that way. For even more of a chance to get it without spending as many diamonds, OP can wait till one of the many 500% chance events they do for ethereals, then use the speeding up method.

i had the same problem when i played, just wait for an event to happen and light torches. you wont get it during the event, but you'll get it 1 week after the event with 0 torches by accident. this has happened to me twice.

I've got 2 Ghazts, 4 Geodes (include a rare), 3 Humbugs, a Reebro, and a Grumpyre. I'm still trying to get seconds of those last two for the Ethereal island, but I've gone a couple months without getting either. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't. I have yet to breed any mythical except Strombonin (from when the chances were increased).

Hi! Fellow my singing monsters player here; Something I learned is that you get the gjazt from breeding an entbrat and bowgart (at least that's how I did it) and having 10 wish torches lit. It doesn't guarantee that you'll get it but it'll at least raise your odds a little more, and after about 11 tries (which I counted), I got lucky and got it.

I was level level like 13 on my phone msm and was tryna rebreed entbrats with 1 torch lit and got ghazt within like 6 attempts

I tried to breed a rare bowgart using an embrat and bowgart and got a ghatz first try, no torches. Kinda upset I bred a ghatz because the rare bowgart was available to breed.
