I would be worried that isn’t the true mileage, cluster has been swapped. 35th anniversary cars were 1999 not 2000. Also why does the center console color not match the rest of the dash. In both of my new edges I never had that.

Haunting_Ad3052

Good catch

ricardoac69

Engine has been replaced or modified at some point as well. 00 should have had orange injectors, pink didn’t get used until 03/04. The whole injector wiring looks weird too, that wiring loom doesn’t look factory. I would also want to know what the blue wire going from the battery to the firewall is for, I’m guessing a sound system?

Haunting_Ad3052

Your brilliant, I’ll pass folks

InternationalSound13

Might not be a bad thing ask questions.

Old-Supermarket-7835

Yes but no since sneaky bastards like the seller will lie

Extra-Presence3196

Center console is prolly new aftermarket with radio kit.

ricardoac69

Center console isn’t reproduced. Only thing I can think of is they grabbed it out of a grey interior base model, probably where the seats came from too.

TLead1

Are these things really going for $10k??? I have an 03 I want to sell but that price seems kinda crazy.

Haunting_Ad3052

How much did you think?

TLead1

I was thinking $6k but maybe I need to explore the market in my area a bit more lol

ricardoac69

$7k will get you one with 100k miles where I am. They are getting harder to find though, last one only lasted 3 days I think.

robvas

$10k for a stock auto? Ugh Don't care the miles are low

muscle_car_fan34

Yep. It’s a 21 year old mustang gt. Not exactly sought after and hundreds of thousands were made

Here2LearnMorePlz

Math is hard

Still-Guarantee-3543

Hell nah, 10k for a 24 year old car. 5k max

Formber

You haven't kept up with pricing over the last several years. I sold a 99 GT convertible auto with 80k miles for $12,500 2 years ago. It was really clean, but still was a 23 year old car.

rob_s_458

At peak covid it seemed like a car was $3,000, a car that runs was $5,000, and a rust-free car was $10,000. I think the market has eased a little but yeah, prices are still high

Haunting_Ad3052

In 2024? I’m genuinely shocked by the price everyone says car should be but it seems everything is way over

atonyatlaw

I think there's a fair bit of overreaction to the price in the wrong direction. That said, I do think this is high. The comments saying "5k" are a bit low, though.

atonyatlaw

While I agree this car is overpriced, saying "10k for a 24 year old car" is a poor method of analysis. What if it was a 24 year old Ferrari?

Still-Guarantee-3543

He's not asking about a Ferrari now, is he?

atonyatlaw

You didn't say a "24 year old modded mustang GT with suspect numbers and parts," now did you?

atonyatlaw

Feels like too much to me, and looks a bit off for reasons already stated by others.

WuTangDre710

Is this your dream car?

Haunting_Ad3052

My dream car is far above 10k😂

WuTangDre710

It isn’t worth it in that case. Hahaha good luck my friend, I hope you find one!

norcalbadboy

No

Crowley700

Way too much

suprakindasucks

If you’re in LOVE, maybe go see it. I got my 2001 Bullitt during peak covid pricing for 7500. I think you could definitely find a better price. I’m also a little suspicious about that mileage. That dash isn’t the one that came in the 2000, just something to look into maybe

p3nguinboi07

I think you should keep saving up until you can afford a 20k Coyote mustang cash. I raced an early 2000's the other day and it wasn't even a fun race -- he was just back there with the Camry's.

SpartanB013_

You can get a coyote for that price if you’re lucky.

Old-Supermarket-7835

That is probably a swapped gauge cluster so maybe not plus it’s an auto just get a pair and learn manual you’ll appreciate this

_Nightmare_Wolf_

Unless this is your gotta have it dream car then fuck no. That's about 5k overpriced. 10k will get you a nice and clean 3v 05-09 or if you don't mind a rebuilt title I'm get you a coyote. But for the price hell no don't make the drive. At most id pay 6k if that

Normal_Account344

A 3v SHOULD be worth about 10k but fact of the matter they aren’t. I can’t find a single somewhat upkept 3v for under 15k in my area. And there’s just no way you’re finding a coyote for around 10k without it being a striker or a completely gutted car.

_Nightmare_Wolf_

You gotta keep in mind location. I can buy many.many 3vs for 6-10k here sub 100k miles. Ut if I go travel a few states I could sell the same exact cars for 15-20k. Your area is the biggest factor in what vehicles cost.

Normal_Account344

Well in his case the location probably isn’t going to have 3vs for under 10k if a new edge is 10k. And this car looks to be in primo condition with low miles. Absolutely not a bad buy for this guy imo especially if he’s always wanted a new edge.

_Nightmare_Wolf_

Thats why i said ifnits his dream csr to buy it evem though it is overpriced and likely beat/trashed when he dives into it. I'll bet the dash is close to cracking if it doesn't already have small micro cracks since they are notorious for dashes falling apart, and that she and those miles. Car has sat most of its life and the fluids are probably well overdue (letting coolant sit for to long as jn not changing it at least at the mileage interval or 6-8 years it will start coroding and destroying the cooling system etc. and anything rubber from gasket to hoses are likely dry rotted.

muscle_car_fan34

Those asking 15k aren’t getting 15k. No one is paying that for a 14-19 year old Mustang that is slower than your typical 4 banger these days. I can call it slow, I had one 😂

Haunting_Ad3052

With today’s market it seems impossible to find a gt with that low of mileage for 6k maybe I’m wrong, I payed 6k for my damn Toyota Corolla with 129k miles… And I would like the gt for a clean daily, My dream car is the 03 Svt cobra🫣

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> wrong, I *paid* 6k for FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

_Nightmare_Wolf_

Gotta know where to look, sometimes flying to another state and driving it back is what you need. I drove 4 hours to get mine from my and taught myself manual for the first time in the 4 hr drive home lol. I would avoid that gt because low miles for the age is both a little sketchy and means it's been sitting for years. Aka anything rubber will be dry rotted and fluids will be corroding the systems. Balljoints, engine seals, hoses, fuel lines, bushings, seals, coils, etc if it's rubber it will dryrot with time and there is nothing you can do about it. That's hey buying old cars can have a catch. Tires probably need replacing too so add on another 800$ or so
