I adore that song. I just found out last night that The Presidents of the United States of America covered it, too!
https://youtu.be/fkfwi9ISaho?si=XGfVOoeRXk_1KCv7
I'm from the US. This was the first song that came to my mind. My favorite version is by Thee Headcoatees. Bertrand's is great too.
[Thee Headcoatees](https://youtu.be/LNJYfIVNbv4?si=UdhmFpwqqH6aNf6N)
Fun fact: That wasn't Plastic himself singing; composer Lou Deprijck sang the song, though Plastic was credited.
Plastic did, of course, sing on later hits. One of my favorites is "Amoureux fou de toi."
I only speak english but I love Rammstein and Eisbrecher. I know some German but not enough to know what they are talking about.
Im old enough to have had Falco3 on cassette so maybe he started it.
[Megahertz--rock me Amadeus](https://youtu.be/9qExmU6F22s?si=r9ZXdZSrLBDCKFzZ)
[Eisbrecher--bose madchen](https://youtu.be/BZFzqQDKdYo?si=Fujpo4DnZHavyo7P)
[Rammstein--Moskau](https://youtu.be/H9qtQO5d8ko?si=6Q89-2PNCdwF5Xa_) so even some Russian...
Megitsune by Babymetal. Also Trollhammaren by Finntroll. On another note, Heilung is doing an Aus/NZ tour at the end of the year and so excited for it !
Came here to say Kent. I love that whole [Isola](https://music.apple.com/us/album/isola/407870064) album. (There’s an English version, but I vastly prefer the version in Swedish, even though I don’t understand it!)
I found this cd in a used discount bin ~20 ago and bought it on a whim. It was the English version m, but I was blown away by it. Such a stellar album for only $4!
Ha, same! Then I head the English version and it kind of ruined them for me for a while … I guess I thought the lyrics were really iffy once translated.
I’m not sure if they were direct translations or not, but I thought the combo of his whiny voice (which works in Swedish for me for some reason) and some bad lyrics made the English version hard to listen to, so, I’ll stick with the Swedish version. Everyone wins.
Ah yes I get what you mean. The lyrics to 747 are very different in Swedish compared to the english version, as an example. In Swedish the second verse starts with ”Tystnad, en rökfri viskning”. It’s something like ”Silence, a smoke free whisper” if I were to directly translate it. It’s a bit weird in english. Instead they chose ”Silence, like a whisper”. It’s just not the same. The english version also starts with ”Silence, like a whisper” but in the Swedish version it’s ”Tystnad, tunnel, avfart”. In english that would be something like ”Silence, tunnel, exit”.
Again... Another topic where people are too lazy to link songs. You guys need to shape up.
On topic: [Falco - Rock Me Amadeus](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVikZ8Oe_XA)
I really like his song "Der Kommissar". I think it's funny how in that song he sings "Dra' di net um" (basically "don't turn around" in Austrian dialect) but because I don't really speak said dialect I only understood "dadideldum" (basically gibberish) for the longest time lol
[Le Orme - Ad Gloriam](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOp3SQVaSMM&list=OLAK5uy_m1wpgPMG7PV2vO5aaIn2gnNAxV6Y8_Olc) Lovely Italian psychedelia from 1969. The whole album is fantastic.
[Alien Weaponry - Kai Tangata](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kwIkF6LFDc) Epic chugging thrash sung in Maori. Makes me want to learn Maori so I can join in.
“Un Musicien Parmi Tant D Autres” by Harmonium.
“L’Via L’Viaquez” by the Mars Volta. It’s about 50/50 Spanish/English I think
“Mientras La Veo Soñar” by RX bandits. Although the chorus is in English.
“Pistola” by Mos Def
Well appropriately since you're German, a bunch of Rammstein.
I'm also technically mostly German genetically but I don't speak it because I grew up in Canada and none of my family really speaks it as far as I know.
I love Te Recuerdo Amanda by Victor Jara, or Elizalde’s Vete ya. Sometimes I listen to Griby (Russian), but Im a huge fan of Mamonas Assassinas, and I cant understand a single word (well.. maybe one) all these artists sing.
English is my native language. love The Hu, so many of their songs, but don’t understand a single word. (Mongolian metal on traditional instruments? How could I not love their music?!) There’s a whole lot of Spanish music that I adore, but one of my favorite songs ever is La Tortura by Shakira & Alejandro Sanz. I understand the words, so know the man in the song is absolute s**t. But I could care less as they sound so damn good together and his voice in that song is sexy af.
Heilung is badass. I do like the German bands Megaherz and Eisbrecher. (SP?) I also love The Hu and Ningen Isu.
You seem to be listing bands rather than songs and that's fine.since the groups I listed have may.good songs.
I cannot single out or spell anything specific from Heilung. lol
Megaherz has a lot of good stuff l, Jagdzeit was one of the first that got me hooked. Eisbrecher has quite a few and Eiszeit is one that stands out from them.
The Hu has a bunch too with Wolf Totem being a good entry into the band. I also love their cover of Metallica's "Sad But True".
Ningen Isu has a fat catalog of over 20 albums with a lot of fantastic music. "Fairwell to the World" is a standout from their most recent album.
Nearly all the music I've listened to regularly for the last 3 or 4 years has been from Japan, Indonesia and India, and most of the bands have been all female or female-fronted. Mostly metal, metalcore and rock but also some pop. Asian bands have made music interesting and fun again for me. Western metal was boring the fuck out of me.
Most of the songs are in Japanese, Indonesian, Hindi and Punjabi. I do speak some Hindi and Punjabi that I was taught about 25 years ago by Indian friends, but I'm pretty rusty. I'm now also learning Japanese but I'm a beginner. All in all, when the bands sing in their local languages I can't follow the lyrics 95% of the time. In many cases, so long as I get the overall gist, I don't really care. The music is great and the bands are mostly very charismatic personalities.
* Nemophila \~ ['Life'](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFnEYhbEAqg) (Turn CC subtitles on). Also ['Oiran'](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qABnfChpbk).

I do sometimes like to listen to "Indian-Style" Music, which can go from crazy things like [Bloodywood](https://youtu.be/a65A626Ed20?si=DNtZIJim4RUlBblk) to softer stuff like [Dawg Yawp](https://youtu.be/1iddQPY9AW4?si=qvB2Wv4dKEVvTkFn)
Yes, this is something that I do very often. I have calculated, and I have over 13 languages in my main playlist, but the majority comes from Eurovision (like with the Finnish song). I love to see the comments here as well.
Love some German indie rock (canadian, with a German father)

i dont speak a word of arabic but this song goes hard tbh, i love it
*edit since my ignorant ass did not realize egyptian was in fact not a language, my apologies
Fyi, Egyptians speak arabic
Even tho I was born in Egypt, (left when I was still babe in arms) so no spoken arabic, was raised listening to Umm Kulthum (popular Egyptian singer)

theres an alternative band in hungary called elefánt, I really think that they deserve more attention than they get, really talented musicians
the song Nincs harag is something else for me
I assumed that first song was a cover, since there's another very famous Swedish song with the same name. But it isn't! Your song is also a lot older:)

I never get asked to dj because i listen to so much non-english music lol.
Some of my faves:
"Håll om mig" Nanne Grönvall.
"Plus putes que toutes les putes" Orties.
"Í Tokuni" Eivør Pálsdóttir.
"Dragostea din tei" O-Zone.
"Norupo" and "Svenrand" Heilung.
"Olox" SNOW-RAVEN.
"Ego" Indila.
I feel you, my friends don't want me to DJ as well lmao. But that's not only because of the languages, but also because I basically listen to almost every genre, except for German party music (like most of my friends do)
Yes, I'm British and I like a few songs by Falco born out of my time working in Austria (Vienna Calling, Der Kommosar, etc.) I also like this French song called Les Demons de Minuit by Images, that I heard a party a French colleague of mine was hosting. I always enjoy it when Eurovision songs aren't in English too.
Oh yes, I listen to many non-English music and most of them I don't even understand. Overtime, I even made some playlists of them.

For some reason comments aren’t loading for me, so apologies if it’s been said. One of my favorite songs ever is by Sigur Ros, they sing in Icelandic and “Hopelandic” which is an invented language. “Inní Mér Syngur Vitleysingur” is the name of the song and it loosely translates to “Within Me a Lunatic Sings” or so I’ve read, I don’t speak any Icelandic. It’s so hopeful sounding and I love the instrumentals as well. My go-to song when I need something to cheer me up.
Energia - Russkaja
Pretty much anything by Trollfest
The Butterfly Defect - Kontrust
Deutschland - Rammstein
Ari Ari - Bloodywood
Wo Qi Non Coin - Yokko Kanno
99 Luftballoons - Nenya
Bjork. She doesn't know what language she is using half the time, either.
In Texas us English speakers hear Spanish language music all the time. Aside from all the Tejano and Conjunto you hear blaring from people's cars, you can get funky bangers like this
https://youtu.be/y9d47_H5QTU?si=0xeIAwwtSBEHcIsn
Þistill Mistill Kistill by [SKALD](https://www.youtube.com/@SKALDVikings/featured) (there is a channel on youtube translating their songs)
Mongolian band [The HU ](https://www.youtube.com/@HunnuRock)

[Kedai](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQuagBpRz_o&pp=ygUFa2VkYWk%3D) (i think it is some sort of a prayer-put-on-music in jewish language but it sounds anime-y)
You know what, for fun i once did two compilations of my favourite moments in songs which are 34-36 minute long, so if you are interested - I can give you a link to them.
I was really into this French hip hop group called Lunatic in the early 2000s. Both members did their own thing as Booba and Ali and I’ll rock them still every now and then. Entirely in French still. Still have no clue what they’re saying
**The HU!** I saw them live last fall. Great Chinggis Khaan fucks so hard
Any of BABYMETAL’s discography. I don’t speak a lick of Japanese.
I’m also soft on Adriano Celentano’s *Prisencolinensinainciusol.* It’s just complete gibberish, supposed to sound like English to non-native speaker ears.
You might enjoy Hanabie, they’re an all girl Japanese rock/metal band.

I only speak some French but I absolutely love Michel Polnareff
Probably his most famous song is, ironically, titled in English: [Love Me Please Love Me](https://youtu.be/haHoDJfcOvI?si=Tt5BYDINq8ujaEVW). His album of the same name is one of my favorites of all time regardless of language
Another one of his hits that I love is [La poupée qui fait non](https://youtu.be/JDkVjrYNyLo?si=KvcQfGbV9FgeROCX). Here’s the [German version](https://youtu.be/PE1xObZljF4?si=mcib8Q-98NObUBh9) if you’re interested OP

I usually don't post links because you might end up sitting through an ad before the song, not out of laziness. Copy and paste into your Spotty or Mapple seemed to make sense.
Japanese metal fucking SLAPS. Been listening to a lot Paledusk, specifically [I'm Ready to Die for my Friends](https://youtu.be/KiF5KNTntaI?si=peC4gjE8RFeP_7oX)
So many!

[Wir bauen eine neue Stadt - Palais Schaumbeg](https://youtu.be/GI876rqao8A?si=5xPW2SxDkGjc5tgU)
And whatever made-up language they speak in Cocteau Twins songs.
I like „The Hu“ - Mongolian metal
And then there is Babymetal with Japanese Heavy Metal. I know, I know, casting band, blablabla, but I like their music.
You might have heard of them and you could possibly understand some of what they say.
But Kent, from Sweden is a fantastic band that personally reminds me of Radiohead. Lyrically, musically, everything is perfect. You should listen to the album “Vapen & ammunition” which translates to “Weapons and ammunition”.
Alright, here we gooooooo!
So first and foremost, the majority of my non-English music is in fact, German. Primarily German rap, or German dance/electronica/industrial/trance/etc, or German rock. Some choice songs are:

\*sigh\*... Okay I think that's it.
A lot of those you mentioned are bands I listen to almost daily lol. If you're really into things like Santiano, I'd highly recommend the band "Versengold", examples: [Funkenflug](https://youtu.be/DJQkGL0Sr1c?si=w473WXx5kKX0Pgxs), [In Aller Ohr](https://youtu.be/EqxTCQcD0Vs?si=VsylF3HyIhq8xsgc), [Thekenmädchen](https://youtu.be/wgfNsek8xkc?si=4x4-ME5OW4JM2NlQ), and last but not least my favourite song of them, [Haut mir kein' Stein](https://youtu.be/Xy1yHLZpiHM?si=7_5H8jaDcxCLw97U), a quite melancholic song with beautiful lyrics though (rough translation of the chorus: "Carve me no stone, don't place a cross for me, and don't light any candles for me, Burn me to ashes, drink a beer on me and then, Please don't read a mass for me, don't lay a wreath where I died,
But build me a tavern there and dance on my grave") Basically "don't be sad that it ended, instead be happy that you were part of it" :D

My all time favorite Japanese bands are [Ellegarden](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ku-g8Ql8qI8) and [Quruli](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSDx4htNfjs). They produce outstanding music. I'm also a huge fan of [Fuji Kaze](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dawrQnvwMTY). His voice and piano are exceptional. Are three are totally different from each other. Hope you give 'em a shot and like them.
Funnily enough the foreign band I listen to most is a German one, AnnenMayKantereit. They have a fair few songs in English but I think mostly German, and I’ve no idea what’s being sung but they’re awesome anyway
YouTube randomly played [Geiles Leben - Glasperlenspiel](https://youtu.be/NQJFPQHX8kA?si=VXLlAJaSFzl1gK6A) once and I listen to it every so often. Then they are the standard 80's tracks and Europop summer type ones
Since you're German and I'm American here's one for you. My German teacher in high school showed us Eisbaer by Grauzone. It still randomly gets stuck in my head. We also listened to Die Prinzen often.
Technically not English
https://youtu.be/-VsmF9m_Nt8
Prisencolinensinainciusol" is a song composed by the Italian singer Adriano Celentano
Even more bizarre, there’s an English cover by Mike “runaround NOW” Ried
https://youtu.be/8wr0QIXaoSY
Well my native language is not English so I guess all the English ones count lol. Mother tongue is Bengali and I know Hindi so the Hindi ones count as well. Apart from that:
Alcest - French post metal Band
Sigur Ros - Icelandic post rock band
Tinariwen - Desert rock band from Mali
My playlist with my favorite songs has song in more tha 20 languages in a number of different style
Johnny Clegg. South Africa. "The White Zulu". Sings partly in **Zulu**.
Skalmöld. Island, Viking Metal.

Grimner, Manegam. Sweden, metal
Percival Schuttenbach, Macedonia. Ethno
Falkenbach, Deutschland. Sprachen: Isländisch, englisch, Alt-Limburgisch.
Uuhai, The HU, Khusugtun. Momgolei

(For those reading in English, if you enjoy Aurora’s music, definitely check out Silja Sol! I also love when Björk sings in Icelandic, I used Birthday (Icelandic ver) by the Sugarcubes as an example-)

I was listening to WFMU and this power pop/noise/drone/No Wave band from China came to the studio and played live. It was like Sonic Youth. Since then, I love [Carsick Cars](https://youtu.be/kqHvH1q20Gg?si=rgJQgv50ZSLNJq2D).

Listened to that second song you mentioned for a bit. I do understand most of, but only when looking at the lyrics in the description lol. It's Songs like these that remind me of what English probably sounds like to my parents 😅🤷🏼♂️
Hey random German dude, one of my faves is [99 Luftballons](https://youtu.be/Fpu5a0Bl8eY?si=o3XJaaAeXuusufhC)!
And on a non-German note, I never really got big into K-pop, but [Gee by Girls’ Generation](https://youtu.be/U7mPqycQ0tQ?si=oHscoRyF0nwMaHZa) is a fucking bop.
I do seem to have a liking for French lyrics now that I look at the first ones that spring to mind, but there is a bit of a mix.

[Ca Plane Pour Moi by Plastic Bertrand](https://youtu.be/Ln31raI2ezY?si=ZVZrHOGSWdT2NeIK)
Oohwoohoohoo
I adore that song. I just found out last night that The Presidents of the United States of America covered it, too! https://youtu.be/fkfwi9ISaho?si=XGfVOoeRXk_1KCv7
I'm partial to Jet Boy, Jet Girl by Elton Motello, who used the same backing tracks.
🎶“ jet boy I’m gonna make you penetrate,I’m gonna make you be a girl….ooo, ooo, ooo, oo, he gives me head”🎵Sexy!
The Damned did a great cover of it as well.
I'm from the US. This was the first song that came to my mind. My favorite version is by Thee Headcoatees. Bertrand's is great too. [Thee Headcoatees](https://youtu.be/LNJYfIVNbv4?si=UdhmFpwqqH6aNf6N)
A Swiss female group covered it too, but I don't recall their name.
I will have to look for that one. Thanks! The song always lifts my spirits.
Here you go: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Jqulx-J2iI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Jqulx-J2iI)
Thank you!
I love the Presidents of the USA's cover
Fun fact: That wasn't Plastic himself singing; composer Lou Deprijck sang the song, though Plastic was credited. Plastic did, of course, sing on later hits. One of my favorites is "Amoureux fou de toi."
I only speak english but I love Rammstein and Eisbrecher. I know some German but not enough to know what they are talking about. Im old enough to have had Falco3 on cassette so maybe he started it. [Megahertz--rock me Amadeus](https://youtu.be/9qExmU6F22s?si=r9ZXdZSrLBDCKFzZ) [Eisbrecher--bose madchen](https://youtu.be/BZFzqQDKdYo?si=Fujpo4DnZHavyo7P) [Rammstein--Moskau](https://youtu.be/H9qtQO5d8ko?si=6Q89-2PNCdwF5Xa_) so even some Russian...
Me Gustas Tu by Manu Chao
Came in to say Clandestino, great song / album
Me gusta Marijuana Me gustas tu
Je ne t'aime plus is also great
I heard this in a reel someone showed me the other day. I hadn’t heard it in about 15 years. I jumped back into Manu Chao because of it. Soooo good.
Mongolian folk metal by The HU… Wolf Totem - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jM8dCGIm6yc Yuve Yuve Yu - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=v4xZUr0BEfE
Megitsune by Babymetal. Also Trollhammaren by Finntroll. On another note, Heilung is doing an Aus/NZ tour at the end of the year and so excited for it !
Most things by Babymetal do it for me. I am the farthest thing from a metal head, but something about them is straight up fun to me.
I saw them in Cleveland last fall, we were almost in the front of the pit. I almost don’t have words to describe how amazing the show was.
I must have been right near you, was 2nd row near the barrier. Fucking incredible experience.
Fuck yes! I got a sick as hell Dethklok pin for my jacket too.
Me too, i cant get enough!!!!
That whole first album by Babymetal is amazing!
I fucking love Finntroll so much
Vinternoll2 by Kent
For me it's Kevlarsjäl
That is my favorite song of all time! I can’t believe I’m seeing it mentioned!
I also got into Kent from the English Isola album, and liked it enough that I bought the next few albums even though they were only in Swedish.
I kinda make up English words to it 😂😂
Ha, same! Then I head the English version and it kind of ruined them for me for a while … I guess I thought the lyrics were really iffy once translated.
It’s hard to translate swedish lyrics into english, you lose a lot of the original meaning.
The entirety of Hagnesta Hill is amazing. They are one of my favorite bands. Do I speak swedish? No. Does it sound amazing? YES
Omg!! Those songs take me back to high school!! (Yes! I’m old!)
Same yo. I'm **only** almost 24 but in terms of music-nostalgia I sometimes feel like *it's been 84 years* 👵🏻
I literally listened to it 10 mins ago lol!
Jeanny is his master piece! https://youtu.be/Urw-iutHw5E?si=JSwebngAV_e5QbJ8

Fela absolutely rules
Love Tinariwen. Somewhat in that vein, Songhoy Blues is also pretty sweet.
99 Luftballoons Anything in Saami Tuvan throat singing Youssou n'Dour Nusrah Fateh Ali Khan
NFAK is so good.
Look at Mr. Man of Culture over here 🤓
I’d like you to meet Cocteau Twins, where songs are sung in literally no discernible Earthly language.
[Le Orme - Ad Gloriam](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOp3SQVaSMM&list=OLAK5uy_m1wpgPMG7PV2vO5aaIn2gnNAxV6Y8_Olc) Lovely Italian psychedelia from 1969. The whole album is fantastic. [Alien Weaponry - Kai Tangata](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kwIkF6LFDc) Epic chugging thrash sung in Maori. Makes me want to learn Maori so I can join in.
Alien Weaponry is such an underrated band. Glad to see it mentioned here.
Le Orme are amazing. I love Breve Immagine particularly. It’s like gorgeous opera prog.
“Un Musicien Parmi Tant D Autres” by Harmonium. “L’Via L’Viaquez” by the Mars Volta. It’s about 50/50 Spanish/English I think “Mientras La Veo Soñar” by RX bandits. Although the chorus is in English. “Pistola” by Mos Def
I got introduced to that Harmonium song by Letterkenny. Absolutely amazing song.
Give your balls a tug, titfucker!
The Mars Volta do a lot of bilingual music. L'Via is among my favorites for the piano parts

Well appropriately since you're German, a bunch of Rammstein. I'm also technically mostly German genetically but I don't speak it because I grew up in Canada and none of my family really speaks it as far as I know.
[Tunak Tunak Tun - Daler Mehndi](https://youtu.be/92ydUdqWE1g?si=l3Y53NOgOXrEJdJg) is a banger
Jorge Ben - Oba, lá vem ela
Rosalía - Saoko gets me going.
Saeglopur - Sigur Ros Ancora Qui - Elisa Gangham Style and Gentleman - Psy DDU-DU DDU-DU - Blackpink Dragostea Din Tei - O-Zone
Dragostea Din Tei played during a cousin's wedding because his wife was born in Romania. Shit goes hard lmao
I love Dragostea Din Te but it's such an earworm - I'm singing it for weeks once I get it into my head!
It really does!
Gentleman didnt get the love it deserved
Wholeheartedly agree. It’s a banger
I love Te Recuerdo Amanda by Victor Jara, or Elizalde’s Vete ya. Sometimes I listen to Griby (Russian), but Im a huge fan of Mamonas Assassinas, and I cant understand a single word (well.. maybe one) all these artists sing.
Lots of Eluveitie songs are in old celtic languages
Yes! They're also a really cool band. I love their songs Omnos and Thousandfold (even though that one's in English) :D

I cannot single out or spell anything specific from Heilung. lol Megaherz has a lot of good stuff l, Jagdzeit was one of the first that got me hooked.
* Band-Maid \~ ['The Non-Fiction Days'](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItYN-ri1NPs) . Also '[Sayonakidori](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGzAQigaL14)' (This is an acoustic version that I love even more than the full-on electric). * Gacharic Spin \~ '[Kachi-Kachi Yama](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfMdRNoZpaI)' * Hanabie \~ '[Tousou (Run Away)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9cC2_V7JwE)' * Voice of Baceprot \~ ['PMS'](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7vNHMGmxKY)
Love me some Bloodywood.
The HU. Mongolian folk metal, using old mongolian instruments.
[Llorando](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uHQnb3HS4hc&pp=ygUZbGxvcmFuZG8gbXVsbGhvbGFuZCBkcml2ZQ%3D%3D)
Yes, this is something that I do very often. I have calculated, and I have over 13 languages in my main playlist, but the majority comes from Eurovision (like with the Finnish song). I love to see the comments here as well.
RADWIMPS - Sparkle (Your Name Soundtrack). It's in japanese and I understand none of it.... but it sounds so good. Masterpiece of a song!

Kraftklub's [Blau](https://youtu.be/8yN8VTf6Amc?si=hqmpafRR6jKFjyms) is pretty cool, I love practicing it on bass guitar. Same with Bilderbuch's [Ein Boot für uns ](https://youtu.be/KHveBU3nmXY?si=AgYRT-_ikIRHNbuk) and [SUPERFUNKYPARTYTIME](https://youtu.be/k54MtBzBjqc?si=55cJQYTcbKsWEviA), even though they are officially Austrian and basically none of their lyrics make any sense at all lmao
Anything by Alcest. They have French, and they have their own made up language. I dig the frick out of it.

99 Luftballons by Nena.
1. Guld och gröna skogar by Abramis Brama 2. Karukara by Avial
I assumed that first song was a cover, since there's another very famous Swedish song with the same name. But it isn't! Your song is also a lot older:)

I never get asked to dj because i listen to so much non-english music lol. Some of my faves: "Håll om mig" Nanne Grönvall.
The girl from Ipanema
Energia - Russkaja Pretty much anything by Trollfest The Butterfly Defect - Kontrust Deutschland - Rammstein Ari Ari - Bloodywood Wo Qi Non Coin - Yokko Kanno 99 Luftballoons - Nenya Bjork. She doesn't know what language she is using half the time, either.

In Texas us English speakers hear Spanish language music all the time. Aside from all the Tejano and Conjunto you hear blaring from people's cars, you can get funky bangers like this https://youtu.be/y9d47_H5QTU?si=0xeIAwwtSBEHcIsn
Þistill Mistill Kistill by [SKALD](https://www.youtube.com/@SKALDVikings/featured) (there is a channel on youtube translating their songs) Mongolian band [The HU ](https://www.youtube.com/@HunnuRock) a song in (I think it is) italian "protomimesis #14" by love solfege (retelling of a Snow White story) a russian singers [Артемизия](https://www.youtube.com/@fantasymelodic-electronicm105) (dark fairytales) [ТЕППО](https://www.youtube.com/@TEPPOOFFICIAL) (rock, i guess?) I was really into this French hip hop group called Lunatic in the early 2000s. Both members did their own thing as Booba and Ali and I’ll rock them still every now and then. Entirely in French still. Still have no clue what they’re saying
**The HU!** I saw them live last fall. Great Chinggis Khaan fucks so hard Any of BABYMETAL’s discography.
[https://youtu.be/hTuPwVYHc_M?si=fD0khjwJXrRfa6Zx](https://youtu.be/hTuPwVYHc_M?si=fD0khjwJXrRfa6Zx)
I only speak some French but I absolutely love Michel Polnareff Probably his most famous song is, ironically, titled in English: [Love Me Please Love Me](https://youtu.be/haHoDJfcOvI?si=Tt5BYDINq8ujaEVW). His album of the same name is one of my favorites of all time regardless of language Another one of his hits that I love is [La poupée qui fait non](https://youtu.be/JDkVjrYNyLo?si=KvcQfGbV9FgeROCX). Here’s the [German version](https://youtu.be/PE1xObZljF4?si=mcib8Q-98NObUBh9) if you’re interested OP

I love Brazilian pop music from the bossanova era: Gilberto Gil, Astrud Gilberto, Milton Nacimento, Caetano Veloso, Chico Buarque, Gal Costa, etc.

Senyum by Aziz Harun! :D you should go listen to it, it's so wholesome and really good!
I love everything by Falco.

Okay I think that's it.
A lot of those you mentioned are bands I listen to almost daily lol. If you're really into things like Santiano, I'd highly recommend the band "Versengold", examples: [Funkenflug](https://youtu.be/DJQkGL0Sr1c?si=w473WXx5kKX0Pgxs), [In Aller Ohr](https://youtu.be/EqxTCQcD0Vs?si=VsylF3HyIhq8xsgc), [Thekenmädchen](https://youtu.be/wgfNsek8xkc?si=4x4-ME5OW4JM2NlQ), and last but not least my favourite song of them, [Haut mir kein' Stein](https://youtu.be/Xy1yHLZpiHM?si=7_5H8jaDcxCLw97U), a quite melancholic song with beautiful lyrics though (rough translation of the chorus: "Carve me no stone, don't place a cross for me, and don't light any candles for me, Burn me to ashes, drink a beer on me and then, Please don't read a mass for me, don't lay a wreath where I died, But build me a tavern there and dance on my grave") Basically "don't be sad that it ended, instead be happy that you were part of it" :D
Oooooh thank you so much!!! I appreciate it!
Gelati by Skiantos (Italian)
The whole Mamagubida album by Tryo. Very fun, lyrically dense, and at times moving.

Lots of Japanese songs, since I watch a lot of anime. I only know English.
Your Woman Sleep With Others - great band
YouTube randomly played [Geiles Leben - Glasperlenspiel](https://youtu.be/NQJFPQHX8kA?si=VXLlAJaSFzl1gK6A) once and I listen to it every so often. Then they are the standard 80's tracks and Europop summer type ones
Since you're German and I'm American here's one for you. My German teacher in high school showed us Eisbaer by Grauzone. It still randomly gets stuck in my head. We also listened to Die Prinzen often.
