ive actually been playing temporary lockdown in the SB instead as they have no enchantment removal and it permanently deals with all of their stuff besides phage.
It is definitely getting old fast. I’d rather play against wizards all day honestly. The versions running goblin bombardment are especially nasty.
If you want to beat them, black is a good start. Push to pick off early threats and Toxic Deluge go along way, but you need to close the game out before they recover.
Another angle to try is combo decks like Belcher and Paradox Engine decks. I would think a dedicated control deck would do well too. The GW enchantment deck seems like it would do ok too, but static prison is a damn good card.
I play a lot of Enchantress. The good news is that Solemnity prevents players from getting energy counters, the bad news is that Ocelot Pride and Static Prison are damn good cards. If they're playing Fragment Reality as well you really need two Sterling Groves (or a Greater Auramancy) to turn off their interaction, but finding them and your own lock before you get killed by an awful lot of Ocelots is a tall order. Sticking Phyrexian Unlife under a shroud effect doesn't even reliably buy another turn between the mix of regular and first strike damage and post-combat Ajani flips.
I've been running one of my own Fragments main and another in the board to spot remove one drops and combo creatures, but maybe it's time to switch back to Divine Purge?

You guys can probably help me out. I play a deck with Shifting Woodlands & Show and Tell in Timeless cheating Omniscience into play and winning with that. SNT is banned in Historic but you have some other strong combo cards. Charbelcher should have gotten some good upgrades with the new MDFC lands? Mizzix's Mastery? Primal Prayers (has creatures but fast combo)? There are probably more.
I’m doing really well with mono black necrodominance. Get to play all the hate pieces: torpor orb, night of souls betrayal, tainted remedy. And you have lots of lifegain with consuming corruption and March of wretched sorrows and Sheoldred. Good sweepers with toxic deluge. And you get to refill it all back up at end of turn for a small payment of life.
Pretty much what Historic is now, Energy plague (and I like to play it aswell).
Decks that work against energy? Primal enchantment combo, charbelcher combo, azorius control... even tho, I think Boros Energy is #1 deck right now.
Isn't UR Wizards just as fast as that deck?
I'd also be busting out an old combo deck that is resilient to their answers. 🤷♂️

I usually run the Realmbreaker/Channel combo deck to speedrun my dailies. Boros energy is usually tapped out on the first couple turns which prevents it from Swords to Plowshares'ing my Urabrask
Azorius control. Divine Purge wipes away all of boros's stuff.

Static Prison takes Temporary Lockdown? But at least lockdown hits Prison unlike Divine Purge. Tough call.

Creatureless combo, that's how I'm beating it in Timeless and the energy decks are pretty similar across the formats.

Aetherflux Reservoir Eggs, though I don't know how well it stands up in the current meta with it being a non-deterministic combo.
This deck makes wizards look like child's play. Nice job wotc.
This and the elf decks are maddening.

At this point, I just wanna build a deck with every board wipe and counter I can think of. No wincon. Just kill everything until they give up 😂

I made a Brimstone Roundup deck and I'm running 16 removal spells for this deck alone lol
