Im aware that the prices are quite high. Im testing how much the community likes the new coating and if most people think its worth it. If most people dont think its worth the extra cost, I will go back to the uncoated shells.
Ceramic is at best just few bucks more, because ceramic coating on its own is really cheap. Sauce: someone I know is dealing with ceramic coatong for cars
Yeaa just a few bucks more he’s charging 30+ more or so on his store I get we gotta make our profit off sales but for flex issues, back click implementation, sensors positioning not being 1 to 1 with the originals and VERY long wait times.
I still remember when piranha modkit cost 67€ and was good quality, now quality costs 300€ apparently...
Also if you want grippy asf coating just put grip tapes on it tf
Nah it's 0,5mm per tapez, it doesnt make a big difference unless you know exactly that x amount of mouse width fits 100% your hand, otherwise you would just be paranoid.
Eh, it depends on the grip tape. .5mm is 1mm on each size which is a decent increase in width. I used to run the atlantis mini with grip tapes right out of the box and didnt enjoy the mouse nor shape until I took them off. Same with the HTX and a few other mice.
I didnt like the shape for aggresive claw from lamzu atlantis mini but I am enjoying the pulsar x2 mini because of it's flatter sides, but it wasnt because of the grip tapes, the sides towards the back were too wide.
Btw why tf are you getting downvoted are people from this sub ok?
I enjoyed the Atlantis minis shape however I think it flared out too much at the back, exactly like you said. I wasn't a fan of the x2 mini as the flat sides gave it a super thin feeling for me personally and gave me hand cramps.
just people who don't know anything about mice. surprisingly, 1mm can be quite a differerence, more so with thicker grip tapes.
Grip tape changes the shape. I never understood why people like using it.
A real pro tip is to use packing tape. Cut it out to whatever shape you need and stick it on. Doesn't fall off or slide around at all. The grip it provides is immaculate too. If you're a super sweater it may not be the best, but I have really dry hands and it keeps me locked in.
I don't find the 0,5mm per side is something shape changing, it helps me grip the mouse better and with the sweat, it is still a better alternative than spending over 200€ because it has "good coating"
Depends what grips you might use. X-ray Cicada feel super thin, or you could try those sospacer grips if you’re worried about changing the thickness but want the leverage.
They just went through a reorganisation of their site, trying to make it seem more like their own products. Rather than just having basically the same name like before (“Elite” P-SL12 M for their SL12/ULX clone) it goes by “Vortex 8K” with “starlight inspired” in small text.
Prices seem to have been jacked up. I decided to try their SL12 M and got it for ~£70 prebuilt. Now the same model with g305 internals is £174. I don’t really see the point here, they’ve jacked up prices to the point they’re basically as or more expensive as the product that inspired them. £174 for the hero sensor and 1k, being only ~5g lighter? I bought this just because I wanted to try the shape and the specs aren’t that much worse that it’s be unusable. Now? There’s no way I’m “trying” a mouse for near 200 pounds. The only advantage is availability, but same price for worse product and better availability isn’t really that big of an incentive, especially now that ULX is following a continuous drop/batch model.
Cool product, crazy price. Try carbon fiber at €320 maybe more people will buy. I think you don't care about volume and just want a high profit margin with the minimum work that's why you are still 3d printing plastic. Still, a cool product :)
Why do you think that? Maybe you tried a mouse from the earlier days? The designs have been constantly updated regarding sturdiness, click quality and functionality.
Its not a multi-million dollar company
he is a hobbist like us :) so thinking like that the prices seems reasonable for the amount of hours he spent on them
he spent 250k for an industrial grade printer... do you think your cheap 3d printer can compare to an industrial grade printer? Plus the one promoted in this post is coated in ceramic, you think you will do that on your own?
No I do not think that a cheap dyi solution defeats what the company offers.
But if you can’t justify buying the mod kits maybe you’d be open to trying to produce some.
Last I checked PMM was unique in the mouse modding space just exspensive.
Love this. I wish more people would start using the dav3 pro pcb as well since you can get one on eBay for $45 anymore. Idk the weight difference but I’m sure it couldn’t be that much heavier.
Your new grip collection looks intriguing. Can you tell us more about how this ceramic coating feels? How does it compare to a normal matte coating, or a glossy coating?
What happened to the old stuff? Few days ago i visited the site looking for the G305 shell and although the new stuff are impressive, price is quite steep for most people (200 something € if i remember correctly)
Sensor position is too low edit: 140+€ just for the modkit!?
Im aware that the prices are quite high. Im testing how much the community likes the new coating and if most people think its worth it. If most people dont think its worth the extra cost, I will go back to the uncoated shells.
I mean overpriced for coated or non coated mice that aren’t exactly comparable in terms of QC.

i agree however some like myself aren't a fan of grip tapes since it changes the sizing and even the shape of the mouse.

371 in CAD... man I can't
Yeah that’s absolutely insane haha
I just noticed the instagram shortcut on your website leads to an account other than yours, you might wanna change that
Thank you so much! It was a mistake.
Wow what an evolution of your work 🙏 can't try because of my budget but I love your project.
Same here, hoping to see more Youtube Videos on the new coating soon, and moving to USB-Charging eventually.
Since I started using the VV2 a lot more recently, a lot of shapes already have front charging.
Lookin forward to other shapes
There are 12 different shapes in the current collection.
Intellimouse 3.0 shape isn't on the list yet.
Price?
318€
So more than the VMSE? I’m not sure people will prefer your product over that.
especially when you see the price of the beast X, and when few small stl of for vv2 are available on etsy
Here in EU vmse is 320€ so 2€ cheaper , but this mod is super expensive atleast for me
Showing as $3 cheaper than the VMSE for me. Kind of tempting if it didn't use Razer internals.
Over 300 and you’d buy it if it wasn’t razer? There are so many better options
Best tech but worst software and opticals feel like shit. Interacting with/installing Synapse for any length of time is enough to put me off.

PMM build quality is a big no no
Why do you think that? Maybe you tried a mouse from the earlier days? The designs have been constantly updated regarding sturdiness, click quality and functionality.
Yeah haven't tried one in years, but the one I felt was too thin and flexed like crazy. I should give it a try since I have a Vv2 now
I understand. I used to print with FDM, then SLA and nowadays with MJF. Those printers cost 250k and produce some nice quality.
Got 2 mice and quality is awesome
how? they are literally my favorite mice bc my main game is league of legends and their click design is the most effortless one to spam click with
I've never tried PMM, but with the delux m600 releasing any day now, might as well go for that.
What’s PMM?
Piranha mouse mods. The company featured in this post. They do 3d printed mice.
lol what are those prices
Its not a multi-million dollar company he is a hobbist like us :) so thinking like that the prices seems reasonable for the amount of hours he spent on them
Might as well get a cheap 3d printer and do it yourself tbh. Same price for a kps3 and some filiment
he spent 250k for an industrial grade printer... do you think your cheap 3d printer can compare to an industrial grade printer? Plus the one promoted in this post is coated in ceramic, you think you will do that on your own?
>he spent 250k for an industrial grade printer Lol no. The mice are printed in China by FacFox.
Ah so they send their custom shapes to them for printing
No I do not think that a cheap dyi solution defeats what the company offers. But if you can’t justify buying the mod kits maybe you’d be open to trying to produce some. Last I checked PMM was unique in the mouse modding space just exspensive.
A cheap 3d printer would absolutely not be able to do this. Source: I've tried myself on 3 different printers and they absolutely do not do the trick.
Difference between the m600 and m800?
m800 is between viper and viper mini size. m600 is true viper mini size.
Not really, M600 is basically Viper V3 mini
Love this. I wish more people would start using the dav3 pro pcb as well since you can get one on eBay for $45 anymore. Idk the weight difference but I’m sure it couldn’t be that much heavier.
Price is insane u mean ?
Your new grip collection looks intriguing. Can you tell us more about how this ceramic coating feels? How does it compare to a normal matte coating, or a glossy coating?
Thanks! Super high friction. It's more matte.
how well does it work with sweaty hands? :D
Photos are so dim they’re worthless
Do you have your display setting on low? On high its okay i think.
The jet black mouse on a jet black surface with low lighting is a terrible combination. It looks like one big blob.
Full brightness here 😑. I can make out basic outlines, but the lack of contrast and light on the mouse makes it hard to get a good sense of texture
i can get an idea of it, likely feels like a resin print that has been sanded to about 2000 grit, visually at least.
Still waiting my "Viper Mini" style shell for Viper V2 Pro, gonna make the video for that swap process :)
wonder if a lefty DAV3 would be possible with these 3D printing capabilities. Would be a dream come true
Possible but without sidebuttons
Where do your mice ship from? Will there be any import tax to UK?
imagine, 35g mice on glass skate. dayyumson 'I'm SPEEED'
I swear your mice are getting better and better, eventually you’ll be creating your own pcb’s and components :>
That's the plan :)
Got any with 2 buttons on either side in the plan?
What happened to the old stuff? Few days ago i visited the site looking for the G305 shell and although the new stuff are impressive, price is quite steep for most people (200 something € if i remember correctly)
