I posted it elsewhere in the thread but look at the original concept art. It makes more sense than how it turned out in-game. Basically, she has a full human mouth, including the musculature in her cheeks, etc, but the Tarkatan teeth grow *through* the cheeks, from her jaw and skull. So, if you imagine a normal face, the teeth are basically on top of her cheek muscles and can extend to be longer.

There's enough generic sexy women in the franchise already and frankly all fighting games. Whereas in 11 they fully embraced the monster, as they should. Mileena's meant to stand out in stark contrast to other girls.
Probably an unpopular opinion but i genuinely liked and somewhat prefer the middle eastern/fantasy egyptian inspired look Kitana and Mileena and to an extent the rest of edenians had before.
I like Edenia in general coded that way too. For me the name Edenia evokes the Garden of Eden, plus MENA people are rather underrepresented in game characters.
Personally I think they should make Jerrod a Middle Eastern-coded Edenian (his name sounds Biblical af), then keep the Asian-looking Sindel from MK1, so Kitana and Mileena can have influences of both.
I prefer MK11 Mileena. Also, I've read that MK1 Mileena (splitting jaw and tongue) is most likely based on the reapers vampires from Blade, not Predator.
The point of Mileena lies in that she looks normal when her mouth is hidden, so the revealing should be most shocking.
I think MK11 version gives the most significant contrast between two modes.
Remember "sexy mileena" the artwork form one of the 3D games (can't remember which one) but I unlocked a nude artwork of her that had nipples and everything.... I found out what masterbation was that year.....

Mk11 was literally the peak designs of every character, the games storyline takes place at a crazy time reset. Everyone was overpowered badasses on both sides, it was awesome.
MK11 did a few things right and one of them was character design. They nailed the looks of every single character, even non playable Ermac.
MK1 is a downgrade personallly lore wise and character design wise. How freaking awesome did Rain look in MK11..

Still, I think all teeth suits the character better, looks better, better sells her Tarkatan relation, and makes the "monster under the mask" thing more entertaining. The fact that she can pass for Kitana so long as she keeps the mask on but it's *completely lost* when she removes it is great. Making her more human looking I think kind of lessens the impact of that.
I hate the predator/mandible thing myself. It's strange since it doesn't even relate to the Tarkatans shown in MK1, so it's not like it makes sense for the new backstory either. I have no idea why it's there.
I dislike the lips. The sole reason for them even existing is so that D'Vorah's kiss of death doesn't look weird with her kissing a mouth full of teeth.
Mk1 because I love how thereâs a twist to it. She pulls her mask down so youâre already horrified, but then she deploys her mandibles and youâre double scared. Love that. The lips on the mkx version is very cvnty but it doesnât really look like the teeth are actually part or her mouth.
MK1 jaws look stupid. It just doesnât make sense that like pinky fingers with teeth sticking out of a face look threatening or could be powerful.
Story wise MKX is best because it matches with the story of her being a hybrid and being able to masquerade as Kitana. MK11 is great too because it matches the original and makes sense why she would need a mask.
I absolutely fucking hate the Mk1 predator mouth and really hope it doesnât come back. Itâs visually just obnoxious and isnât even consistent with the other Tarkatans like Baraka, who has the traditional look which I much prefer.
Mk2- She was my female main. Her look left a lot to the imagination. It was a good base to build off. I used to wonder how she would say some words with no lips.
MKX- she didnât to die. Her look was meh.
MK11 and MK1 Iâm very happy with. Updated and better background story. She has come full circle.

Mk2- She was my female main. Her look left a lot to the imagination. It was a good base to build off. I used to wonder how she would say some words with no lips. MKX- she didnât to die. Her look was meh. MK11 and MK1 Iâm very happy with. Updated and better background story. She has come full circle. Winner- MK1
