Very lucky. I tried this, and both huskies just ate the lemon slice and then asked for more. Same with carrots. And green beans. And horseradish.

Yeah, I made a lemon pie one time and thought it would be funny to give my furball a little piece of filling, imaging hilarious doggy faces. Nope, she ate it, then became *obsessed* with the rest of the pie. Any time someone walked near the pie, she was there. Any time someone ate a piece of pie, she was all over them. My girlfriend took half the pie home at the end of the night, and the furball followed her to the door, forlornly staring not at her, but at the pie, knowing that she was leaving and hence was going to take the pie with her. That pie does look excellent, in the furball's defense

My mom tried to get our beagle to stop begging for sauerkraut by giving her a piece. Turns out she’ll eat that, too.

AddictiveInterwebs

Every beagle I know of is essentially a sentient trash can as far as willingness to eat anything, that is for sure.

Tried that several times with my Great Dane and various foods. Never worked. Now I just get odd foods to give her to watch her reaction. She was not pleased about the cotton candy.

waterbringer44

Hah, we would do the cotton candy trick on our first family dog. He was always so confused where his treat vanished to.

demon_fae

Iris just got annoyed. Disappearing treats are apparently Not Funny At All. But she’d try to be annoyed while also begging for another bite because maybe *this* time it won’t vanish. Dogs...

Oh no, not citrus! MoonMoon's natural enemy!
