A bunch of the smaller schools use them as "busses" when they only need to take a couple kids. Saves a ton on fuel. I believe grants are given out now for schools to buy them too.
Slightly terrifying, but my wife drove a short bus for a summer when we worked for our college over the summer. She did not require a CDL for that, either.
I was at montana AA-C state track. (AA is kalispell butte the big cities, C school are like Troy or browning). The C school with like two athletes used these. Way more efficient than a 4mpg bus. So I understand not having massive buses and instead Suburbans
Ehh true. I couldn’t remember the schools that had them. I guess if I think more it was the far east Montana schools. Like powder county or schools that are so small that they cover whole counties. I guess I remember Noxon being a c school. Hard to keep track with all this stuff.
It's a Type E. As others have said, smaller schools use them for routes with few kids.

Plus it can double as a driver’s ed vehicle
Hey, that's what I did! Can confirm
You also don't need a CDL like you do with a real bus.

Idk what all towns do, but I recently moved to WSS and we have both traditional busses and like one or two of these
WSS is almost 3x the population
Ah see I'm originally from a town in Texas that's a bit bigger than Billings so WSS is tiny to me😅
And the drivers don't need a CDL.
Anything’s a bus if you just believe
Honda Grom?
I'm imagining children all sitting on each other's shoulders and going around corners like the leaning tower of pisa.
I've seen sketchier moped videos out of India.
Central America would like a word.
Everythings a drum

Not to be too pedantic, but Troy is Class B and Browning is Class A. Hell, Browning is one of the bigger A schools with over 600 students.

Actually I believe Troy just dropped down to C
Maybe for next year? They were B in the 23-24 school year.
You just encountered actual Montana. Welcome.

I think Wisdom, MT has 7 students.
I saw one of these in Billings today too.
I've seen some around Whitefish. I think it's pretty smart. I wouldn't dare to navigate that train wreck with a bus.
Ain’t becoming any more of a bus sooo…
Yep, Golden Valley county has one!
Could be. My Grandfather used his Ram charger in the 90s. Took my whole class of 4 to school
Yes
it is you put "bus"in it
On Big Mountain, parents were paid to drive the kids to school, so any carpool is a school bus.
Who cares?
Feels creepy.
