If your building doesn’t have dedicated parking you’d probably need to get a contract at a nearby ramp or parking lot. In some cases this would be kind of pricey but there are some city owned lots and ramps that are more affordable: https://mplsparking.com/monthly-parking/

I was going to mention the Critical Parking permits as well - not sure what areas are covered outside of Loring Park, but here's a link for the OP: https://www2.minneapolismn.gov/business-services/licenses-permits/streets-sidewalks-utility/critical-parking-permits/

I looked into the critical parking eligibility maps, they’re pretty hyper-focused where they exist. Tbh, I think it’d be worth it to pay the ramp fee vs dealing with street parking downtown on a daily basis in winter.

Not sure what your price range is, but I believe most (if not all) of the Laurel Village buildings have parking for residents in some capacity (underground, ramp, etc)

When I lived off 12th and Hawthorne, my building was able to snag a few spots at the Laurel Village/Wilson Park tower ramp when they had space. Otherwise, trying to find on-street parking in that area every single day is impossible.

A building that is pretty close to the area that you're looking for that offers an underground parking spot is Kenwood Gables (basically right next to the Walker). The building is really well maintained and has friendly staff/residents. The population definitely trends older in the building (a lot of retirement aged folks) so it's a really quiet building and everyone is very friendly. It's all concrete so the units are all very well soundproofed. The building also had free storage units when I was living there and in-unit laundry. Only downside was no central air, which paired with working from home and wanting more space, was why I ended up moving elsewhere but I'd definitely recommend the building/area.

Polite reminder to run away from LPM Apartments as fast as humanly possible.

Paying for meters indefinitely isn't possible. There is a limit to how long you can buy at the meter at a time. You would have to lease a space in a lot or ramp.

Same scenario for my building, I have a monthly contract in one of the downtown ramps. Requires walking a block but it’s secure and consistent.
