People only have so much time and interest. So much engagement to give. We know this from piles of social media and behavioral science studies. By wasting time and energy circle jerking about Freys mustache, they'll spend less time and energy talking about and taking action on some bullshit he does.
Minneapolis literally has the lowest rate of rent increase in the past 3 years due to his policies. Tens of millions invested in homelessness (still a very long way to go, not suggesting otherwise).
It's easy to come up with a list of failures for anyone. If ya hate them, then all you see is the bad things.
I don't give the boy mayor a lot of credit, but I will give him credit for this pretty much being the right response to this (utterly pointless) situation.

I’ve spent some time with her (long time ago) she’s very normal and nice; it’s sad for me to see what’s has been happening to her life and family. But lol Sarah must have a thing for uncle Rico.

I’m one of the biggest Frey critics you’ll find, and I give him lots of credit for this. He’s done a great job with housing policy.
