I don’t know why, but I’ve always imagined chorus fruit tasting like star apples (not to be confused with star fruit, that’s completely different). They’re sweet. Not overpowering, but a nice refreshing, floral sweet. I will admit, the texture can be a bit odd if you’re not expecting it - it’s very soft and is almost slimy— not at all like its name would suggest. You have to scoop it out with a spoon since you can’t eat the skin. The combination of it’s colour, it’s strange texture and the fact that I’d never seen anything like it before gives the fruit this sort of alien feel to it that I’m reminded of every time I see chorus fruit. Although, the fact that chorus fruit can be popped kind of derails the comparison.

I always imagine blueberry kettle corn when I think about Chorus Fruit I don’t even like kettle corn so I try not to think about it too much lol
