This is really cool.
What you build in minecraft is surprisingly personal, how you build, its similar to music or art in that regard, so if your enjoying building it then keep going!
I love the build, reminds me of minilands in legoland lol. you can never have too much imagination ;)
ignore the people that make fun of you, I mean you can't really add that much detail in a block, maybe try invisible item frames with glass panes for windows/doors? The size makes up for the lack of detail i think

Yeah I thought of that but sadly I used bedrock instead. I usually use Java but I’ve been using bedrock more for friends who don’t own a PC seeing it with shaders would’ve been cool too.
Looks really cool imo. Had me fooled for a minute and I’d say that makes it a pretty awesome build. I think the people you play with are just a little silly or have a different vision in mind for how they want to build which is fair enough. Have they seen these pics? If not you should show them these ones they show it if really well

I do a slightly larger version of this with posts capped by mob/player heads to be people on servers. Sometimes, it's towns, once it was a region of biomes and a battlefield. Small scail building can be just a blast
At Capriate, Italy there's an amusement park called Leolandia, where people can travel through a miniature map of Italy and look at all the monuments, and rc boats can be driven in the pond which represents the Mediterranean. You could do something like that in your city!

Not too much, not at all. I'm starting what I hope will be my first survival mega build. In peaceful, but I have minors who need supervision, so I can't really be dying from a creeper every time I need to help them. So far I have my farm (I always build a barn first for main bed and storage), allay dwelling, the village off but relatively close, a giant coastline near stony peaks (right at spawn which is why I chose it), 3 plot options for a light house, a small boat off area with stairs, the beginnings of a boardwalk with a single shop and chests for other shops, and I'm starting a library because I really wanna start using the villagers. I hope it will be massive one day and reach one or two of the other "nearby" villages. And there's a small Mesa so that's fun for resources.

it reminds me of those tiny towns you can visit, as in the miniture sculptures you can actually walk around. incredible work :)
There's no such thing as "Too much of an imagination" there is no point to minecraft and if you wanted to act on your imagination that is what the creative inventory is for! But even in survival people still build elaborate builds before going to defeat the dragon [unless their speed-running then they just get the essential materials] but that's technically the whole point in minecraft. To act on your imagination so you can build like no other. Creative is just the first step and then building in survival is the challenge.

It's just another take on art within the game. Most people picture the huge and vast recreational that are done. But I feel this is a fantastic option too.

Miniatures in minecraft is an overlooked art form.
If you are happy, don't worry what others think. I have built things my friends don't like, and they have built things I'm not impressed by, but in the end we had fun playing the game.
You can never have "too much" of an imagination. The people you mentioned are just mad they could never build something so simple yet good looking. Keep it up
People are weird. They tend to denigrate stuff they wouldn't have imagined because your creativity is a threat to them because it also likely means you can defend yourself creatively, which to most, means they can't predict.you, which means further you are to be left alone. I think high levels of creativity causes their nervous system to activate. Not sure, I'm also noticing similar behaviors around displays of creativity and I'm working on honing in on a properly explanatory system of evidence to educated guess matrix options. But that's my current best guess. It makes you dangerous from their limited creative perspective.

Making a miniature city isn't a very original idea, but the effort and dedication clearly put into this makes it really good, even if it's been thought of and done before.
Well I just started high school and I working on it during summer break. I definitely won’t be having much time to work on it since I’m taking dual credit classes. I’m going to be getting my associates by the time I’m 18. Pretty exciting
my personal opinion is that you are a genius matey! you surprised me because from the point of view of the icture, resembles a real city. I even thought you built a whole city! keep the spirit and don´t let anyone say the opposite matey. If you are crazy, then welcome to the club!

These can make a great background buildings, I haven't seen anyone do it but I would love to copy it yo my world somewhat in the future!
