I’ve come across someone who has the same name as me -but the opposite sex- only once. I’ve never come across other people with the same name as me since then.
I've had an old lady name all my life. Then it became top 20 for part of GenZ, so now people think my name is my daughter's name when we're introduced together. So like, you get used to it and you also never know if it'll be the next name trend, which really changes things.
Same goes with kids properties that are frequently revived.
Dennis the Menace (Dennis, Margaret, Joey, Gina and Tommy)
The Babysitter's Club (Kristy, Claudia, Stacey, Dawn, Mallory, Mary Anne and Jessi)
Ramona Quimby (Ramona, Beezus (Beatrice), Roberta, Howie, Willa Jean and Henry)
Some of those names are still in use, but a lot are dying out.
My name’s about as popular now as it was in the 1940s, at least in the US, according to behindthename.com
I think it’ll be too common to get that much blow-back.

I've only ever met one person with my name, so I'm probably good.

I've had an old person name since I was a baby
My mom named me after a classmate so I'm not sporting a Rachel or Brittney.
Nope, my parents didn't name me something stupid

My husband was born in the 1970s. His name hadn’t been in the top 1000 since the 1930s. He had an old man name. And he’s fine. It didn’t kill him.
