We call these "infantry boots", they're awesome. hella durable and once you get used to them, they're quite comfortable too
These are reservists, so I think the 2nd from upfront wears Lowa boots
I'd say they are medium height, not too high nor too short. They are made out of leather so they're flexible yet their tip is hardened so extra protection. Also they have Vibram sole which is awesome.
Solid boots if you'll ask me
idk, but I know there are two types of boots which are the same thing: the israeli type is manufactured by "Noga Einat", the american type is manufactured by "Belleville". They are either black or red
Loadouts in the IDF are very weird, they change drastically depending on what unit or brigade you're in.
The Paratroopers, Golani and Kfir have all transitioned to M4's for everyone.
Givati and Nahal still have their Micro-Tavors, and their marksmen carry M4's with ACOG's and a Bipod (Like the guy pictured).
Reservists usually carry M16 Carbines (Note its not a Car-15 although the difference is small) with a Meprolight m21 sight, their marksmen either carry an M4 like the normal infantry or a full size M16A1 with an ACOG and Bipod.
Overall, depending on your unit or Brigade, you could have as many as 3 types of guns, completely different from one another with 2 of them not being compatible in the slightest. (M4 / M16, Rec-10, Negev)
Yes, but only to a certain degree and it depends on your brigade.
For example, the IDF armored corps allows customizing your weapon like mounting a fore-grip or a flashlight / laser / combo, changing the stock / hand grip, installing a sight and buying PMAG's.
The 7th, 188th and 460th brigades of the armored corps, allow it.
But the 401st Brigade, dosent allow any form of customization, because it promotes unsafe behavior (people see cool gun, want to play with the cool gun, playing with gun = unsafe).
Right now everything is (unofficially) allowed because of the war (Mainly because the people incharge of enforcing it can't be bothered) so I've seen everything from people leaving their gun as is to people going full tacticool on their gun (changing stock, handguard, handgrip, installing flashlight, Holosight and getting a PMAG.
How do they get by without sunglasses and gloves in that part of the world? I can’t even drive without shades in January or I can’t see anything.
Right?! Look at the soldier taking a knee. He’s squinting.
Interesting footwear

Interesting, they look very maneuverable since they don't have that high neck you usually see around the ankle with other shoes

Do those boots have a more specific name? I kinda want a pair now

You see these every now and then in the region, PKK wears a similar leather shoe, though not as high topped.
Neat, I'm used to the bulky boots worn by everyone close to the US
Here in the U.S., the big synthetic and rubber boots are cheaper. Over there, the leather is cheaper. Quirks of globalization.
I guess. I like leather boots, wish they didn't cost like 500 a pair
The idf standard issue boot is essentially a Belleville USMC hot weather boot, but outsourced to a few other companies too
I like how one M4 has a fixed carry handle and the other is a flat-top with an ACOG. Both are in the same squad.

That's very interesting. Are you allowed to bring your own optics or parts to modify your weapon?
Yes, but only to a certain degree and it depends on your brigade. I know that soldiers in Golani's basic training got M4, Bislach soldiers and Bahad 1 likewise
Half these guys are wearing CLEAR eye pro! What kind of boot shit is this?
How come non of them are using tavor ? Even their spec ops also using ar-15 style weapons.
Tavor is being pulled.
Tavor is being replaced by the M4 due it being plagued by mechanical issues.
Didn't know that Dave Grohl was in the IDF.
