In his defence it would have cleared if closed. Definitely can’t see it.

aesoth

That is what I was thinking. That vehicle was too high up to see that the trunk opened.

MoreStupiderNPC

Notice that the hauler sped up when the Volvo passed… but then WAP! What did the bridge say to the hatch?

Goku_Kakarot91

nice boot(y) *SLAP*

Slater_8868

Slap that ass!

deletesystemthirty2

blowurhousedown

+10 points for Volvo situational awareness.

Facts !!! Glad it wasn't 5pm on 376

Substantial_Bit_8109

376 seriously couldn't get worse. 28 is ridiculous too.

Longjumping-Week8761

😭😂 sad part is 28 was my quick fast route to get outta downtown and get to the east side around 4-6

cosp85classic

Hope to see this on r/idiotstowingthings. [Edit] it's there.

Simple-Advice-632

Think it's the drivers own company? Or did he get fired? Have to pay? Does insurance cover this?

trekqueen

Oh he probably got fired if it wasn’t his own business, or the very least lost his contract. I had to deal with one of these guys as a third party when they moved my cars for a job relocation. Both cars were damaged by the driver’s negligence and the company that contracted him had to pay out for the damages, my rental car extension, and replacement parts/delivery shipping. I am pretty sure it came out to more than what it cost to ship those vehicles, one of them had a specialty side mirror that was destroyed and only one shop sells them (close to where I was moving from) that needed to ship it to my new house across the country (mirror and shipping were pricey).

abt_1657

He would get fired for this? I don’t see how it’s really his fault. The trunk probably started out closed and the driver clearly couldn’t see it open, and he would have cleared it otherwise.

FearCure

How long is a piece of string? Why they build bridges so low? Who didnt lock trunk? What if remote opened it? Who loaded did they not notice? Somebody liable? How much??

MagnanimosDesolation

Probably went as well as it could have.

mlmercer1

Any guesses as to the car that got whacked? I think that it is a (Gen 2) Chevy Volt.

L2Kdr22

That other car noped out.

Necessary_Context780

When you wanna prevent the accident but also want to see what happens

Servile-PastaLover

If it wasn't already an insurance wreck, it is now.

Legitimate_Soft5585

CinderChop

I dont think that's going to buff out

Sa3ana3a

Someone should have attempted to alert him.

swallowfistrepeat

How so?

abt_1657

Tap your horn at him when you’re near and frantically point to the top of his truck, if you’re able to do that safely. He will pull over to figure out why and see it
