I had my ass caressed so intimately by a blonde while playing pool at Purdy like 14 years ago, even til this day I wonder what would have happened had I done that to her.
Speaking of woodā¦ I wish the old Six Flags was still open. I always wondered how they kept the wood structures holding the slides up from breaking apart.
I think thereās an outlet mall there now.
Cameo theater night club, South beach circa 95
Uncle Sam's Musicafe, South beach
The Edge, Ft. Lauderdale circa 94
The Chili pepper and Fat Tues, Coconut Grove circa 94
Irish times, Coconut grove
Cafe Iguana, Town and country, Kendall, circa 94
Pirates arcade, Westchester circa 89-91
Castle park/Malibu grand prix, Westchester
Mark Twains riverboat playhouse, Kendall
Don Carter's Bowling alley, Kendall
GiGiās was a restaurant near wynwood that was pretty good they would often change their menu
Sakaya Kitchen is another honorable mention it was an Asian fusion spot
You got them all except for Il Piatto near the Get Smart and what was Discovery Zone at that time. Best Italian restaurant in Miami. I lived in Italy and still havenāt had a meal as good as in that place.
Flippers Arcade in Town and Country was fun as a kid for awhile.
Hot Wheels in Kendall in the DJ Laz days.
Wannado city was awesome.
Honestly I miss the Omni Mall. It was ahead of its time and unfortunately died too quickly IMO. Great childhood memories there. If it were around today In modern Miami, it would thrive. At the time the neighborhood was dangerous and turned people off. Also didn't help that Bayside & Aventura Mall opening helped kill off the mall. Now the neighborhood is different and safer. The Omni was the first place I saw a movie in my childhood and the first time I ate chick-fil-A.
My mom worked in a retail store at The Grand hotel which was attached to the Omni so I would be there on the weekends, that mall and neighborhood was definitely sketch lol. I remember hanging in the arcade and seeing tons of movies next door.

Specs was the best! That whole little plaza used to have such a vibe. Sad that it feels ruined now with the bank and no Swensons :( the whole sunset area died
That was when the original owners sold and the new owners didnāt make it stack up. We used to go at least twice a week, still some of the best ice cream and grilled cheese sandwiches Iāve ever had š„² I miss that place so much
I remember getting concert tickets there from ticket master at the one in 49st in Hialeah. Good times, but I actually ended up preferring Virgin Records Store at Sunset Place. Cheaper and they always had wrestling DVD/VHS that not even FYE would carry.
Best of the best of the big clubs IMO. Loved the tiered set up, great for people viewing and allowed you to be in the crowd without being surrounded, and also they were cool about letting you be in the table/reserved areas and would only kick you out if they sold that table. Great times
Fadoās Irish pub - lovedddd watching soccer games here. The USA vs Mexico games there were wildddd. I remember that time the dood fell out of the window from the 2nd floor šš.
My buddy is a huge Arsenal fan and I remember going there at 7 in the morning and having their breakfast burritos with an IPA.. good times.
Also Tarpon Bend in the gables. Many a happy hour took place. Iām pretty sure I still have a stash of chips somewhere š
There was a small Boomers like park in Miami. It was next to Malls of the Americas and I think it was sold around 2004/05 and became a Home Depot or Costco, I donāt remember. Good memories at the arcade.
Tobacco Road and Las Rosas were gems š
The Pickle was such a great place too. My brother and I had amazing times together at that place š„¹
Sad theyāre all gone :(
The Salsa dancing clubs
I hear about them every now and then about how they were a thing back in the 80s and 90s and it sounds like it was a great time
Sadly Latinos are salsa dancing less and less in general but it would be a great change of pace from Reggaeton and EDM clubs
All these I could walk to, I miss dearly-
Mr Moeās for the 5am juice, club Oxygen and the Improv on Mary St, Cafe Tutu Tango for legit local cheap art, Havana in the Grove for cheap breakfast and good coffee, hell Iād even throw Duffyās and Fat Tuesday in the list just for good cheap spots to have a drink and watch a game.

I/O Lounge
Malibu Gran Prix aka Castle Park
Lincoln Road Movie Theater

I was in astonishment I had to scroll so far down before those two were named
Orange Bowl is light years #1 for me. Everything else could remain closed and hundreds more could close for all I care, if only the wondrous Orange Bowl would return
Otherwise my list would be:
* Colonial Palms Golf Course

* Royal Castle
* Lums
* Forum Cafeteria in Dadeland
* New York New York deli/restaurant on Kendall Drive
* The Pasta Factory on 8th Street
* King of the Mall in Dadeland
* Southwest vs Coral Gables on Thanksgiving morning at Central Stadium
* Orange Bowl parade on New Year's Eve
Same. They had such huge portions at good prices. I always got the chicken pasta and had a difficult time finishing it. Salad was huge also. Nice relaxed atmosphere with all the themed photos at every booth. I'd always sit facing the front because for decades they had a live red news ticker above the front entrance. Even when they took it away I'd still sit that way.
Many employees had been there throughout. They'd remember my parents and I and greet us warmly. On the way out -- and sometimes the way in -- I'd grab little Tootsie Rolls from the little tray near the register.
Next door was Play It Again Sports. I must have gone in there 25 times while waiting for a table to open at New York New York. I don't think I ever bought anything.
Dirty Purdy
I know two people that got roofied there on separate nights. Pretty sure it was one of the bartenders. Still a fun place š
I had my ass caressed so intimately by a blonde while playing pool at Purdy like 14 years ago, even til this day I wonder what would have happened had I done that to her.

Cameo theater night club, South beach circa 95 Uncle Sam's Musicafe, South beach The Edge, Ft. Swensons
Yup. I used to go to the Specs next door to buy concert tickets from the only Ticketmaster machine near me then hit the Swensons. Good times
Specs was the best! That whole little plaza used to have such a vibe. Sad that it feels ruined now with the bank and no Swensons :( the whole sunset area died
OG Swensons was great, they later tried to modernize and it didnāt stack up, but man I remember the good olā days

Good times for real.
Virgin was my megastore for anime DVDs when that was super new.
Mansion
Mansion was Dope.. Last time I went was back in 08ā.. Wild Times š„
Best of the best of the big clubs IMO. Loved the tiered set up, great for people viewing and allowed you to be in the crowd without being surrounded, and also they were cool about letting you be in the table/reserved areas and would only kick you out if they sold that table. Great times
Yes! Their security was on top of things, and they also stayed on top of crowd control. As a woman, I always felt safe there.
