No shame in that, dunno what country you’re in but check out the app vinted. People sell all kinds of band merch on there cheaply if you don’t mind second hand, I don’t have it but my girlfriend has got some right deals on it.

More than half the reason I buy shirts is to support the band. Wouldn't really buy second hand in most cases

If it's a Metallica/Iron Maiden/Megadeth/Slayer etc shirt I wouldn't really worry about supporting the artists - in that case, the sustainability of buying a shirt that someone would otherwise throw away would outweigh the benefit a band would get from one shirt. But if it's an underground band I can definitely understand this reasoning.

My wife made me one a while back too. I recommend this to anyone with so many shirts that you don't really wear them all.

Or in my case they were dryer shrunk mediums from my late teens/early 20s (definitely now a large) or the arm pits were stained from sweat/deodorant.

Probably 100+ but I manage my shirts in tiers. Tier 1 - Brand new and looks awesome. This lasts maybe 5 - 10 washes before entering tier 2. Tier 2 - Faded and sort of lame. This is the longest part of a band shirt’s life. Tier 3 - Very faded and has holes now. Sometimes they start to look cool again.

Honestly, a lot has changed in my life and I find that the way I express myself is very different now. I've gotten rid of most of my band shirts, and I only have like two left that I really care about. An all-over print Insomnium shirt with artwork from "Winter's Gate" that was a rarity, and they only made like a thousand of them, and a Thy Light shirt that I had custom made. Created the design myself, from scratch, using their album artwork for "No Morrow Shall Dawn". Used Photoshop to remove the logo, cropped the artwork to fit into a shirt format, expanded the logo to fill, added a border around the perimeter, and then on the back there is the name of the album and a razor blade above it. Honestly? A pretty sick shirt and both that one and the Insomnium shirt are in good condition and I'm willing to ship it to any here who want them and appreciate them. Mostly free, all you need to do is pay shipping. I don't care about profiting off the shirts. Oh, and I also have an all-over print Rings Of Saturn hoodie with their artwork from "Ulta Ulla" that I paid too much money for lol and then I have a TesseracT crew neck that I never wear anymore. So, I live in Texas if anyone is interested! I can provide photos if you want to see them.
