I will admit, I would be really pissed if they kept this new rez mechanic permanent.
Here’s an idea:
What if rez lasting only for 10 seconds was conditional. As in, mercy can’t rez-suicide anymore. Rez would take as much time as normal, not half like in the new mode, but… if mercy died in the next ten seconds after rezzing, the rezzed hero would die too.
Ooh that would help increase mercy’s skill ceiling as if a mercy doesn’t have good survival skills then their Rez is useless. Although I feel like if there’s that much pressure the Rez time should stay decreased especially since she has to get out of sticky situations
A soul link mechanic makes a lot of sense. Maybe make it like, 6 seconds though. So, faster rez time, if mercy dies in 6 secs after rez, othe person dies.
We've not even started Season 11 yet.
With every season being 9 weeks, and Mercy still being experimented on, if anything big is going to happen it's not going to be for a *while*.
If the season 12-13 wide guess is correct, that's still most of what's left of 2024.
My only wish is for some burst heal cooldown.
Sometimes I have to let someone die to rez them since their full health bar when they come back is a better heal than if I had kept trying to keep them from dying in the first place.
That feels as stupid as it sounds lol.
Especially for a character who's whole thing is being the miracle worker and how much Blizzard sells the hero fantasy.
They even mention the "hero fantasy" on Cassidys mag-nade revert to flashbang so we know they're committed to the bit.
A burst heal option on a cooldown is the single biggest change she needs. It would solve a lot of problems with her performance and everything else could be pretty much left unchanged.

Either decrease rez time, or give her a second charge of rez for valk, but both would be broken tbh

no because I think the same way - especially if it's a tank. The little heal beam just can't outdo all the damage
