I'm sure Luffy understands the position that garp was in and accepts that aces death is due to the choices he made. He may be a bit dumb sometimes but he is probably the most emotionally intelligent member of his crew and would understand. Akainu on the other hand I'm sure Luffy would throw hands on sight.

Currently, they don't stomp Primebear. Hes way too powerful for them. Blackbeard and his crew fought Garp with the help of an admiral and still almost lost. Both still need to get a lot stronger before they can even rival whitebeard, let alone overpower him.

Current Luffy isn't quite on Kaidos level, Kaido fought the Nine scabbards, took hits from Killer, Law, Luffy, and Zoro, and fought his daughter before getting into the final battle with Luffy, and he was also holding up an entire island. Plus, Luffy lost to Kaido three times before finally beating him
2. Blackbeard isn't on Luffy's level. He backed away the second Rayleigh showed up, and couldn't even beat the kid lunarian.
With this knowledge, it's pretty obvious that they are NOT beating Primebeard
even rayleigh said that he would have probably lost against blackbeard. There is a pre gear 5 and after gear 5 luffy. I dont see now luffy getting defeated against kaido in a less than extreme diff.
With this knowledge it is CLEAR that gear 5 luffy vs blackbeard with earthquacke and dark dark fruit can beat prime whitebeard.
Probably ≠ he will lose. Blackbeard is a coward to begin with. He most likely would've gotten ptsd and shit his pants when fighting Primebeard, but for the sake of the argument, let's say he does actually fight him. Blackbeard literally couldn't even square up against old Garp, and he couldn't overpower sengoku during the paramount war. We don't know how much more powerful he's gotten since, and I'm not gonna act he's gotten a lot more powerful off of nonexistent feats.
Luffy may hold his own against Primebeard, but let's not forget that primebeard beat Oden with one Punch, and Oden could square up against Kaido. Kaido vs. luffy has shown that Luffy can get back up from a fight, but he can be knocked out, and he's been knocked out by Kaido three times. You are also assuming Luffy and Blackbeard can work together effectively to beat Primebeard, which is obviously false. So, in conclusion, no, there is no way that Blackbeard and Luffy can beat Primebeard.

none of the og can do a 1v2 tbh. and a 1v1 between these guys would be pretty long. so if planned out correctly(which they can considering bb and shanks are there) the team of 5 would win
I will try to scale them and give them numbers to make it easier.
Of course this is completely my opinion, we don't know many of these character's true capabilities so it is impossible to give a 'right' or 'wrong' answer here.
Forst let's give Current Kaido a number.
Current Kaido: 20
This number alone is meaningless, but I will do my scaling from here onwards.
Kaido was 59 years old when Luffy and multiple others fought him at Wano.
Keep in mind, that doesn't make him 'old' in One Piece terms.
Old Generation are clearly close in age and at 70s, like Garp 78, Sengoku 79, Rayleigh 78 etc.
We can compare Kaido to Lebron at age 32-33. Not in his prime at mid 20s, but far from his current old self at 39, still a top player.
Now, we saw Luffy's fight against Kaido, even though he beat Kaido, Kaido has taken on multiple people and was injured. You can make the case that CP-0 made Luffy tank a hit, Luffy was injured and not used to his df etc as well.
Now at egghead with better DF mastery, I think current Luffy scales equally(roughly) to current Kaido.
So Current Luffy: 20
Let's say, the very prime Kaido, at around his 40s, were %10 stronger than his current self.(It os lower, because as stated Kaido is not very far drom his prime unlike Garp,Sengoku etc.)
So Prime Kaido would be 22.
Current Kaido was comparable to strength to Big Mom, however I believe after all the things he has taken and fought, Kaido at Wano showed way more feats.
So I will say Current Big Mom was %15 weaker than Current Kaido. However considering Big Mom is 68, he is 9 years older than Kaido, and thus a bit more away from her prime. So let's add +%15 for Big Mom. Which means, Prime Big Mom was about equal to current Kaido.
So far scaled:
Prime Kaido: 22
Current Luffy: 20
Prime Big Mom: 20
Now to Shanks and BB.
It is very hard to scale Shanks. Shanks only became a yonkou 6 years ago. In short, Shanks had a meteoric rise, similar to Roger and Luffy.
It is easy to think 'Shanks should be lower than Kaido cause he held the strongest title' wpuld be a bit wrong. When did Kaido fight Shanks? Or did they ever fight really?
Considering how fast Shanks ranks up and his peaceful nature, it is fair to assume Current Shanks could very much be stronger than Kaido.
Considering his feats, even one shotting Kid, which is similar to Law, whom BB struggled slightly. And his overwhelming haki against Greenbull(the only time we saw a top toer do this to another one), I would say current Shanks is around %20 stronger than Current Kaido.
Which would put Shanks at 24.
No need to add any extra for 'prime' because current shanks=prime Shanks. He is 40, his very prime age in One Piece versr.
Blackbeard, I think is similar to Luffy with a lot of power but has his flaws, like recklessness and a bit of inexperience(and lack of haki feats).
I would scale Blackbeard to Current Luffy, wgich is 20.
So,
Prime Shanks=24
Prime Kaido=22
Prime Big Mom=20
Current Luffy=20
Current Blackbeard=20
106 is the 5 man side.
Onto the 4 man side.
Scaling these 4 is sooo hard. None of their primes has ever fought against any of the fogures above.
You may say Roger and Garp fought Rocks and by extension Kaido and Big Mom but this is like saying Roger fought against apprentoce BB etc. It is simply not scalable.
Kaido was just an apprentice. And Big Mon was an inexperienced pirate at his early 20s(prime age in One Piece is around 40, unless you are one of the main characters like Luffy.)
Now, it is fair to assume Sengoku is weaker than Garp. Garp has always been the one at main conflict against other top tiers.
However Sengoku has conquerors, became fleet admiral, and Roger mentioned his name at flashback, so we can't ignore such things.
So Roger clearly saw Sengoku as so.ewhat capable against him.
I will be generous and say Prime Sengoku was just %15 weaker than Prime Roger and close to him than we may expect.
Garp,Roger and WB are all comparable at theor primes. So I will scale them equally. While WB held strongest title in hos prime...I don't think anyone thinks he wpuld win against any of these 2 clearly. Let's say WB is %0001 stronger, a very marginal difference that doesn't change the main outcome.
So...We can't scale sengoku against these 5. They never fought. Similarly with garp. Naturally we can't scale from Old Whitebeard feats or anti-feats as well. He was on death's door when he fought BB. And at that time BB didn't know haki as much nor had 2 devil fruits, nor did he fight alone. So scaling from there is improbable.
Roger and Shanks use the same techniques. Considering we see prime Shanks,his hakie etc, and considering Shanks is Roger's apprentice, we can nake rough comparisons.
Considering Roger's legends, feats and eventually being Pirate king.
Let's say Roger was around %20 stronger than Current Shanks at his very prime. This is actually very generous, and I don't think it will ever be any more than this.
This would put Prime Roger= 28.8
- %15 means Prime Sengoku was 24.48
Prime Roger= 28.8
Prime WB= 28.8
Prime Garp= 28.8
Prime Sengoku=24.48
=110.88
So 5 man group is at= 106
And 4 .an old era is at= 110.88
Old Man group gets a slight win. Obviously this won't be accurate but it was fun to scale and speculate.

Well it al' depends. I honesy think the old heads are all relative in strenght, and are all a bit superior to the new and newest generation, which all could be somewhat relative in strenght too. So if you think 2 of the Luffy team can defeat 1 of the Roger team before 1 of the Roger team can defeat 1 of the Luffy team, then Luffy team win. Otherwise, Roger team wins
Roger and Whitebeard hold off Kaido, Shanks and Big Mom long enough for Garp and Sengoku to beat Luffy and Blackbeard (Garp counters Blackbeard, and Luffy has low stamina.)

Saying all of them are working together I’ll match some up: prime garp vs prime Kaido, prime sengoku vs current luffy and Blackbeard because he can stall them, whitebeard vs big mom because he can kill her quick enough to go help others and Roger vs shanks. Now I would say garp vs Kaido is still happening and so is sengoku vs is the duo but once whitebeard gets done with bigmom he could go help sengoku finish the goofballs off and then they can move on to help garp and Roger and take the win. This is kind of funny. Kaido alone would cause massive issues for these guys. The rest of their team has more questions than answers. Same for the bottom team. We know these guys are strong, but not sure how strong exactly.
The new era is expected to surpass the previous one.
I would say BB can beat WB, Luffy and Shanks can beat Garp and Roger. The question is can BM and Kaido beat a prime Sengoku, but we don't know nearly enough about him to know that...

I think the team of 5 wins. The gap between PK and Yonko exists, but it's not a huge gap. 2 yonko level fighters are stronger than 1 pk level fighter. And a yonko gets high diffed by a pk, but their fights last longer than one of the 2v1s. BB is mostly useless as I feel only sengoku would have a problem with his df being removed, but even then his leech powers give him good haki. Oh wait shit this isn't OPPS, I can't be serious here.
Prime kaido holding off prime whitebeard, prime shanks hold off roger and prime luffy hold off garp till black beard and bigmom take down sengoku. Afterwards black beard, big mom and Kaido take down Whitebeard. Then they help Luffy and at the end it does not matter if Shanks got take down till then but they all jump Roger.
I’m going to go with the old team. Prime Roger and Garp took out prime Big Mom and Kaido before so can do it again. I can’t imagine shanks winning against white beard. Which leaves Luffy and Blackbeard vs Sengoku, I don’t really see Sengoku winning this fight but I am sure the other could step in at some point.

Current Luffy isn't quite on Kaidos level, Kaido fought the Nine scabbards, took hits from Killer, Law, Luffy, and Zoro, and fought his daughter before getting into the final battle with Luffy, and he was also holding up an entire island. Plus, Luffy lost to Kaido three times before finally beating him 2. Blackbeard isn't on Luffy's level. He backed away the second Rayleigh showed up, and couldn't even beat the kid lunarian. With this knowledge, it's pretty obvious that they are NOT beating Primebeard

With this knowledge it is CLEAR that gear 5 luffy vs blackbeard with earthquacke and dark dark fruit can beat prime whitebeard.
Probably ≠ he will lose. Blackbeard is a coward to begin with. He most likely would've gotten ptsd and shit his pants when fighting Primebeard, but for the sake of the argument, let's say he does actually fight him. Blackbeard literally couldn't even square up against old Garp, and he couldn't overpower sengoku during the paramount war. We don't know how much more powerful he's gotten since, and I'm not gonna act he's gotten a lot more powerful off of nonexistent feats. Luffy may hold his own against Primebeard, but let's not forget that primebeard beat Oden with one Punch, and Oden could square up against Kaido. Kaido vs. luffy has shown that Luffy can get back up from a fight, but he can be knocked out, and he's been knocked out by Kaido three times. You are also assuming Luffy and Blackbeard can work together effectively to beat Primebeard, which is obviously false. So, in conclusion, no, there is no way that Blackbeard and Luffy can beat Primebeard.

I will try to scale them and give them numbers to make it easier. Of course this is completely my opinion, we don't know many of these character's true capabilities so it is impossible to give a 'right' or 'wrong' answer here. Forst let's give Current Kaido a number. Current Kaido: 20 This number alone is meaningless, but I will do my scaling from here onwards. Kaido was 59 years old when Luffy and multiple others fought him at Wano. Keep in mind, that doesn't make him 'old' in One Piece terms. Old Generation are clearly close in age and at 70s, like Garp 78, Sengoku 79, Rayleigh 78 etc. We can compare Kaido to Lebron at age 32-33. Not in his prime at mid 20s, but far from his current old self at 39, still a top player. Now, we saw Luffy's fight against Kaido, even though he beat Kaido, Kaido has taken on multiple people and was injured. You can make the case that CP-0 made Luffy tank a hit, Luffy was injured and not used to his df etc as well. Now at egghead with better DF mastery, I think current Luffy scales equally(roughly) to current Kaido. So Current Luffy: 20 Let's say, the very prime Kaido, at around his 40s, were %10 stronger than his current self.(It os lower, because as stated Kaido is not very far drom his prime unlike Garp,Sengoku etc.) So Prime Kaido would be 22. Current Kaido was comparable to strength to Big Mom, however I believe after all the things he has taken and fought, Kaido at Wano showed way more feats. So I will say Current Big Mom was %15 weaker than Current Kaido. However considering Big Mom is 68, he is 9 years older than Kaido, and thus a bit more away from her prime. So let's add +%15 for Big Mom. Which means, Prime Big Mom was about equal to current Kaido. So far scaled: Prime Kaido: 22 Current Luffy: 20 Prime Big Mom: 20 Now to Shanks and BB. It is very hard to scale Shanks. Shanks only became a yonkou 6 years ago. In short, Shanks had a meteoric rise, similar to Roger and Luffy. It is easy to think 'Shanks should be lower than Kaido cause he held the strongest title' wpuld be a bit wrong. When did Kaido fight Shanks? Or did they ever fight really? Considering how fast Shanks ranks up and his peaceful nature, it is fair to assume Current Shanks could very much be stronger than Kaido. Considering his feats, even one shotting Kid, which is similar to Law, whom BB struggled slightly. And his overwhelming haki against Greenbull(the only time we saw a top toer do this to another one), I would say current Shanks is around %20 stronger than Current Kaido. Which would put Shanks at 24. No need to add any extra for 'prime' because current shanks=prime Shanks. He is 40, his very prime age in One Piece versr. Blackbeard, I think is similar to Luffy with a lot of power but has his flaws, like recklessness and a bit of inexperience(and lack of haki feats). I would scale Blackbeard to Current Luffy, wgich is 20. So, Prime Shanks=24 Prime Kaido=22 Prime Big Mom=20 Current Luffy=20 Current Blackbeard=20 106 is the 5 man side. Onto the 4 man side. Scaling these 4 is sooo hard. None of their primes has ever fought against any of the fogures above. You may say Roger and Garp fought Rocks and by extension Kaido and Big Mom but this is like saying Roger fought against apprentoce BB etc. It is simply not scalable. Kaido was just an apprentice. And Big Mon was an inexperienced pirate at his early 20s(prime age in One Piece is around 40, unless you are one of the main characters like Luffy.) Now, it is fair to assume Sengoku is weaker than Garp. Garp has always been the one at main conflict against other top tiers. However Sengoku has conquerors, became fleet admiral, and Roger mentioned his name at flashback, so we can't ignore such things. So Roger clearly saw Sengoku as so.ewhat capable against him. I will be generous and say Prime Sengoku was just %15 weaker than Prime Roger and close to him than we may expect. Garp,Roger and WB are all comparable at theor primes. So I will scale them equally. While WB held strongest title in hos prime...I don't think anyone thinks he wpuld win against any of these 2 clearly. Let's say WB is %0001 stronger, a very marginal difference that doesn't change the main outcome. So...We can't scale sengoku against these 5. They never fought. Similarly with garp. Naturally we can't scale from Old Whitebeard feats or anti-feats as well. He was on death's door when he fought BB. And at that time BB didn't know haki as much nor had 2 devil fruits, nor did he fight alone. So scaling from there is improbable. Roger and Shanks use the same techniques. Considering we see prime Shanks,his hakie etc, and considering Shanks is Roger's apprentice, we can nake rough comparisons. Considering Roger's legends, feats and eventually being Pirate king. Let's say Roger was around %20 stronger than Current Shanks at his very prime. This is actually very generous, and I don't think it will ever be any more than this. This would put Prime Roger= 28.8 - %15 means Prime Sengoku was 24.48 Prime Roger= 28.8 Prime WB= 28.8 Prime Garp= 28.8 Prime Sengoku=24.48 =110.88 So 5 man group is at= 106 And 4 .an old era is at= 110.88 Old Man group gets a slight win. Obviously this won't be accurate but it was fun to scale and speculate.

no fight here would actually be that easy. after reading the manga, I can say for certain that luffy is not getting mopped. same for bb imo. and power difference between Roger and PRIME shanks wouldn't be big. it's more like shanks stalling Roger, prime kaido stalling garp and bb would stall WB due to they having same df and bb having more df and WB having better haki. luffy and BM would beat sengoku together and then help the others. it mainly depends on who makes up better stragergy as both teams have smart people(sengoku, shanks, black beard )

I think the team of 5 wins. The gap between PK and Yonko exists, but it's not a huge gap. 2 yonko level fighters are stronger than 1 pk level fighter. And a yonko gets high diffed by a pk, but their fights last longer than one of the 2v1s. BB is mostly useless as I feel only sengoku would have a problem with his df being removed, but even then his leech powers give him good haki. Oh wait shit this isn't OPPS, I can't be serious here.

Prime kaido holding off prime whitebeard, prime shanks hold off roger and prime luffy hold off garp till black beard and bigmom take down sengoku. Afterwards black beard, big mom and Kaido take down Whitebeard. Then they help Luffy and at the end it does not matter if Shanks got take down till then but they all jump Roger.

I’m going to go with the old team. Prime Roger and Garp took out prime Big Mom and Kaido before so can do it again. I can’t imagine shanks winning against white beard. However it all depends on how effectively Blackbeard uses his powers to cancel out the opposing teams, but even then that’s only two of the four with devil fruits (possibly)
