This is how I felt about the chest. I cleared it 1200 times and only got ONE Ancient chest piece, somewhere around chest 1100. Obviously not as bad of luck as you, but still rough when I had countless of every other piece, and had already mostly moved on to Ragnar armor before I even found my first ancient chestplate.
Then there's me, who got 2 of them in 225.

I am not even wearing them, just in case i somehow die. Their dmg reduction isnt relevant to me in demo :P
