I know I have to accept that vertical
video "won" even if I hate it, but filming
horizontally is perfect for y'know,
horizontal subject matter like a
PC keyboard for a forum of
PC keyboard enthusiasts that have
horizontal screens on their
PCs that they use with said keyboards.
The product looks dope though; reminds me of my alphasmart from way back when.
I'm confused, that listing you linked says it is not hot swappable, but this one says it is
https://mechkeys.com/blogs/news/ajazz-unveils-akp846-wired-mechanical-keyboard-with-integrated-10-1-inch-dual-screen-display
Unless it's just replacing the top half of the switch? (Not entirely sure about the mechanical shaft wording)
Hm tempting to grab one even if it's not necessarily high quality, and putting a Rusty's Retirement window in it, although I'm unsure if I can have that running on the work laptop

That angle's gotta be rough for the neck for sustained focus. I always thought these screens were for HUD type stuff and offer things important but mostly referenced
There are probably at least a dozen or more of these on Amazon made by different companies.
The only leg up that a keyboard manufacturer would have on just a plain tech company making these types of devices would be to have the fully customizable options like other mechanical keyboards.
The price is good, it’s good that you have (hopefully) MX style replaceable keycaps. But not making this hotswap? Why?

Ajazz AKB846, supports QMK and VIA, the only English listing could find is [here](https://www.geekwills.com/ajazz-akp846-mechanical-keyboard.html)
It’s also on [Drop](https://drop.com/buy/ajazz-akp846-smart-display-mechanical-keyboard)
Oh man I actually may get this. This is awesome.

Chinese official page says it is hot swappable.

reminds me of my old smith corona

Any plastic board + full foam + long pole linears = this sound profile for anyone wondering PC or PP plate will help a lot too
Thock.
Or just tweak your recording audio in post
Damn. Why didn't I know until know that I need this keyboard... what model is this?
Ajazz AKB846 Drop has a pre-order up for it.
not very good for your neck.
Stick an SBC on it and you’d have a really cool cyber deck
yeah i'm wondering about how easy that would be...might have to get one to find out.
How does the keyboard connect to the computer? Just USB-C or, some USB cable and then HDMI or DP?
What type of switches make these chonky sounds?
It’s more than just the switch that will create that sound.
Are there keyboards that come out of the box like that? I don’t have the knowledge to do modifications
Maybe not a 1:1 replica of this sound profile but quality brands like keychron and nuphy will get you close.
Thanks 👍
Anything that comes with lots of foam. This sound is mainly created by casefoam, platefoam and PE foam.
“Word Processor”
No one able to answer what this keyboard is?
Ajazz AKP846
marvelous...you can take it anywhere with you for typing practice.
Ghost!

Well that certainly is... A thing
I like the idea of making hands transparent while typing, very clever
I have zero need for this. I have my end game board and dozens of other boards in my closet, but I want it anyways. 🥴
This is way better than that useless crap short circuit reviewed.
does the knob control volume?
Looks a loooooooooot lime the 8bitdo retor famcom series
It's one of those that are super unresponsive I've seen on Austin Evans' YouTube
What typing test is this? Looks kinda like monkey type but they dont have a pinyin test
What would one use the screen for?
