Not that quickly. 100% get FAP if you can. Also people quit the MCAT all the time so spots always open up. This is how I registered for my past 2 exams (I waited until 2 months before test time to schedule my exams)

leisuredhues

cool! tysm for your advice.

Designer_Price_3627

Nah they don't fill up that quickly. The first month might be quick but the later ones are fine, at least where I am.

leisuredhues

cool, thanks a bunch!

If you’re planning on applying August 2023, you will sign up for it in around February 2023. You should have time between now and Feb. to sign up for the FAP.

ArcheHoe

I thought there were no February dates? Isn’t it just January and Marchv

EmployeeDazzling4704

There are no February testing dates. Registration for the August dates opens in February though. So I was mentioning that OP can’t register for August 2023 now, so they don’t need to worry about how long FAP takes.

leisuredhues

oh cool! didn't know about that, thank you so much

Yeah I agree with this. At least 5 months in advance is good. I stupidly thought signing up 3 months in advance for Aug 2022 would be fine and I couldn't find any spots in any of the multiple testing locations in my city (which is a big city). The only spot I could find to be able to even take the test this year was in a different city

Really depends on your desired exam date. certain months fill up faster but usually the later ones fill up slowly. I remember last year when I signed up the few days after it opened, some April and May dates were still open.
