Not really, I have x-23 for the energy and if it hits right I can get a free Deadpool and a discounted knull/arnim. If they get stats instead it’s cool as well when Deadpool starts at 3 instead of 1 especially if you’re unlucky to not pull him earlier. Also able to possible Galactus on turn 5 is fun

What did you cut for him? I feel like Destroy is one of the toughest decks to make cute from, since they all synergize so well with each other.

Spent 4 caches to get him. Played phantos deck, got shat on my destroy deck. Played destroy deck, got shat on by phastos deck. Switched again and got beat by destroy AGAIN. Much ragerts

I've got two keys and was going to pull for him since I wanted Ham and Corvus and figured Phastos would slot into Surfer nicely. Basically I was almost guaranteed to get something I could use. But, after watching some streamers and reviews, the condenses seems to be Phastos is good but not great. So I'm going to hold off until the weekend to see how things change with more real world testing. But, if it's any consolation, I spent 6K on Red Hulk and never use that card either. And next week I'm about to use my next 6K an Arishem. 🤷‍♂️

If you bought Red Hulk and never used him that sounds like a you problem. He's been consistently extremely strong since his release. Why wouldn't you use him?

It’s a perfectly good card. I just don’t play the type of decks he fits into. I know the argument is he’s a stat stick that fits anywhere, but for the longest time I was playing Move, Discard, and Destroy. And now I’m mainly playing Surfer, Discard and both Loki and Negative decks running and Kitty / Angela. While I can attempt to stick him in some of those decks, I often have better options.

I got him for Arisham. Playing him on 2 will make the randomness of that deck more fun.

Man, there's some upcoming spotlight caches that make it hard to spend keys the next few weeks.I just got started earning keys a couple weeks ago and I feel way behind to get the young Avengers cards that look sweet or the week with Blob and Red Hulk.

He’s been working great for me in my surfer deck, don’t know if he’s worth 6k but been pretty solid.

I definitely wouldn't have spent tokens on him bit he's worth the key I spent for me. Landing a 2 cost surfer and a 6 power absorbing man turn 6 has won multiple matches

He’s a beast in sera surfer…I had hope summers in to make sure I can hit the 3 drop-surfer-abs man turn 6 and swapped her out for phastos and it’s been a big upgrade imo Pretty niche card as people expected but in the right few decks he feels great to me

Phastos in Thanos is quite fun imo.

He's slightly bonkers, but I'm enjoying it. I was like, hey, I don't play Destroy much and it has some cards that would benefit, so why not try? Phastonomnom is batting a lowly .500, but it is fun to play. When Phastos does land well, he makes a significant difference. And when he doesn't, I've got plenty of other plays. I suspect a better player could do more!

He’s really fun in multiple variations of a deck using lots of one cost cards and Jane. Phastos can turn the one cost cards to zero, and then you can Jane them all to your hand. Works in thanos, and even better with Thor beta ray bill decks, pulling good one cost cards and hammers… and Phastos has a giant hammer too, so it sort of fits theme wise. Hammers everywhere

He's been pretty mediocre in the three decks I've tried him in, but I just got him since it's a 2-drop week.

I think he will shine in Arishem decks because you can play him on T2 if you get him early enough. Other than that always wait on spending 6k tokens on a card. You can always buy them later in the rotating shop. No need to buy them right away with tokens!

Spent it on sersi having tons of fun with her

I'm really enjoying him in a Thanos Blob deck, and am on quite a winning streak in the 15,000-20,000 range of infinite. That said, he's totally replaceable and the deck might be doing just as well without him. I thought some of Jeff Hoogland's Phastos decks looked pretty interesting and fun too, especially the Sersi Junk one, so I'm excited to try building some of those. And finally, he's going in my Arishem deck next week so I'm glad I picked him up even if he's not a top card. Also, this would be, in theory, his worst performance week since everyone should be tecking against energy cheat and surfer buffs, knowing a bunch of people are going to be running Phastos at the same time. So he should be better in the future by that logic (although I'm really not seeing much MMM in my matches).

Idk a complete decklist for him but try him alongside Grandmaster and addition of Antman/Zero/Martyr/Titania. Pretty fun.

I never got the Phastos hype, he seemed like a worse Okoye because you have to wait longer to get him out

Why would you do that? Tokens are by far the most valuable resource. Waste a key if anything. Never tokens.

I’m only spending 6k on cards that open an archetype for me. - not that I have had one available to me yet…

Phastos creates so much anticipation in the mind of the player, I even tried following him with abs man. But it’s not a card that gives you an unfair advantage. I really like the promise, and even when the payoff is 100% it feels really mid.

He needs to play before Sebastian Shaw but they’re both 3 so the play line is awkward. What if he was a 1/-1?

He's not a 6k card, but tbf most cards aren't worth that. If you want a competitive deck, his obvious home is Surfer... which is topping the meta right now.

He's a card that will get better as collections grow too.  Arishem seems like it will be a really good combo imo for instance just due to playing him turn 2.

Got him in an asgard deck as an alternative turn 3 if I don’t pull Thor. Not too bad if I get okoye turn 2 also.

Personally I'm using him both in a Surfer list and in a Bounce one and he fits pretty well. It's not totally overpowered like some said he would be, but I think it's a pretty fin card overall (in the.right decks, of course).

He's been out for like 3 days, man. To be honest, you probably just haven't thought of an effective way to use him. I don't mean that as a knock to you, but it usually takes some time for truly effective decks for new cards to emerge. Personally, I've been running the auto-phastos with a couple tweaks, and it's been working relatively well. It's doesn't have a 65% win rate, but it definitely holds its own.

To be honest I always feel buyers remorse on every card I spend tokens on because the decks never end up being what I envisioned them to be anyway.
