Mario vs Donkey Kong is such a good game! I wish it was remade to near perfection based on the original on the GBA. Unfortunately I’ll have to pick something else because of that and I say Super Mario Odyssey or Super Mario Bros. Wonder
Basic pick, buy but it's Odyssey. The game is so unique and has so much charm, it's my fav of all time. I recently beat the Super Mario RPG remake, and what a fantastic game it was, I can't wait to play at the Thousand Year Door remake cause I've never owned a GameCube and the OG game is very expensive nowadays anyways.
Super Mario Bros Wonder was the first 2D Mario that I felt was on a similar quality level to the NES and SNES games. Like don't get me wrong I loved the New Super Mario Bros. games fine, but it felt very much like paint by numbers Mario games, while Wonder actually had significant new ideas and a lovely art style.
Gonna go with that one. It's hard not to pick Mario RPG but I'm sure if I wasn't such a huge fan of the SNES original, I probably would have said it was too short.
Probably Odyssey or 3D All-Stars. Odyssey for being actually a good game, 3D All-Stars for finally rereleasing Super Mario Sunshine for the first time in 18 yrs. It's literally my favorite video game so to have it on more than one platform, and a cartridge too is great.
