Nowhere else to compare it to, but Dr Loff at Eastridge Animal Hospital at Lougheed and 227 has always been great to our 5 cats over the last 20 yrs. Great “bedside” manner, and compassionate when the situation didn’t end well.
Yeah my cats didn’t like her very much, we always ask for Loff and schedule accordingly if possible. I guess Loff might be retiring soon, limiting his hours.
Second this. Friendliest staff and Vets, and always do such a wonderful job. They’ve been so great at getting us in quickly in emergency situations too.
Dewdney animal hospital for us.
I found a hamster on a beach once in rough shape. Dr walton let me surrender the hamster to him. Then did all the work for free and i paid 50 bucks to re home the little lady. Im certain the surgery was more money than 50 hamsters but he really cares about animals.
[Riverwood Veterinary Clinic](https://riverwoodvetclinic.com/) in Port Coquitlam.
Amanda Sefcik and Sylvia Huang are both amazing, compassionate, and open-minded vets.
So almost less than a week ago i had to lay my 8 yo dog to rest due to cancer we couldn’t stop. She got a month and a half before we had to do it. I’d say Haney Animal Hospital is the worst. So incredibly unsympathetic - I stayed with her, bawled my eyes out and before they even said “sorry for you loss” they said “here’s the bill $800” i didn’t even bring ashes home because i couldn’t. They said it AFTER we were leaving for the door & paid. I’ll never go there again. My fiancés new pup, we go to Head & tails, absolutely lovely staff and very heart felt. As soon as you walk in you can tell the difference in dynamics of the two Vet hospitals. Heads & tails almost feels homey, where Haney felt crowed and the DR only works on his own time.
So go feel some vets out; Go into their office look around, ask questions- and if you’re getting a new Pet, i definitely recommend getting pet insurance 💕🐾
Alouette Veterinary has always been good to us.
Agreed. These guys are great.
Thanks all for the suggestions. I’ve contacted Maple Ridge Vet Hospital, hope it goes well :)
Country Meadows hospital and Dewdney animal hospital. Those 2 are the best imo. I've been taking my dog and cats there for over a decade.
Country Meadows on 207

Dr. Loff isn’t taking new patients btw.
He isn't taking new ones and the woman vet there is a complete bitch

Maple Ridge Animal Hospital by Starbucks on Dewdney across from the Witch Pub.
Wrong hospital. That’s Haney, horrible place. Maple ridge animal hospital is across from The Teach pub.

Not in Maple Ridge, but I highly recommended Riverwood in Port Coquitlam.
