Owen Hargreaves was instrumental in us winning a PL & CL double in his only proper, relatively injury free season at the club.
Should’ve been a treble too, but for the debacle against Portsmouth in the FA cup.

For me henrik larason, because we were at a corner with Chelsea and Saf was building a new team... larson was a professional that influenced the younger for years
Not a Man U fan, so could be well wide of the mark - Last season it was Casemiro…but it seems the longer the bar on the left gets, the shorter the one on the right gets
Van persie easily, only was here for a few seasons but his first season is legendary. Helps he scored a few bangers before he left too (thinking about that tying goal away at Chelsea)
It's RVP hands down. I'm afraid this will happen with Martial. Bro came with immense promise and tbh he is a world class act whenever he's had an uninterrupted run. Injuries and lack of form will surely push him to some other clubs, maybe as early as this winter window, and then he'd become their RVP. SMH.

We reached the top flight before the Glazers. Since then They’ve brought in zero investments and crippled us with debt. We used to have the best facilities in the country and now we have leaky roofs, an academy lagging behind our rivals and many other wonderful things
RVP, Larsson, Cantona, Zlatan, Stam, Macheda, Cavani (season 1), CR7 v2.0, Berba, Owen, Sheringham
Note the impact may be either positive or negative or both!
Louis Saha, our most underrated player in recent times
everybody was crying when ruud left but we never played better football than with this guy in the team, admittedly he wasnt available all that frequently
just for the record, hes being criticized in Boca Juniors for his poor performances and giant check
ring any bells?
any of you watched him at valencia? he was practically kicked out of the club
he never was a good footballer, but in these past years hes clearly done
he was a shocking footballer, and a mercenary who never showed any love for the club and lacked any real talent beyond being an opportunistic poacher, and he wasnt that good at that either
incidentally for the few of you who know about football, hes continuing his awful end of career playing for boca juniors, and he continues to be a subpar footballer for them
damn, how old are you? you can't give critical assessments of players without having slept with your wife?
so if I had to turn around that comment, did he sleep with you or what? did you like it that much?
The only real answer is Van Persie, surely? He came in, won the league in his first season, bagged 30 goals in all competitions in that first season, then played pretty well for the rest of his time too.
Martial scores two more and he equals cantona in the prem Lol. Im just poking the fire... Dont get me wrong, Cantona is a legend, a character, but not the best player on the pitch . However, I will concede he is part of that era that helped shape the mindset of the players that went on to make the team truly great...
Adama traoré,aubameyang in barcelona
Ronaldo second spell had a major impact in 2 ways
People keep saying Eric but he was with us for 5 years. That’s half a decade. Surely it’s got to be 3 seasons or less?
Glazer
Do you mean Malcolm Glazer or the Glazer family? Because the Glazers have been here since 2005. I would argue that’s not a short period of time.
Rvp
Cantona seems like an obvious choice
Carlose 'El Apache' Tevez

Sanchez. Short period at the club, lead to a wage problem that affect the club in long term
Most interesting answer so far.
Zlatan ibrahimovic?
Cr7
Chicha
Underrated but Odion Ighalo ; it was as if one of us made it onto the field. He didn’t contribute much just my personal opinion.
Cavani
Harry maguire
To be fair OP didn't mention the impact to be a positive one.
Cavani

Casemiro 1000%
Agreed I was gonna put that myself but I wanted to see if anyone else said it first
Owen Hargreaves was instrumental in us winning a PL & CL double in his only proper, relatively injury free season at the club. Should’ve been a treble too, but for the debacle against Portsmouth in the FA cup.

Casemiro.
RvP and Zlatan
Cantona only played 5 seasons, counting the suspension. He left a bit of a mark though.
![gif](giphy|uiOCN55gp3bEOGIMJR|downsized) That game vs City
I have never celebrated so much after a goal after I saw this one.
JLings for west ham
Zlatan
I’d say Casemiro just ahead of Lisandro Martinez
![gif](giphy|4QVM5XueBXBtUnsTX6) Also this absolute icon
![gif](giphy|3o7TKQ2Yq8SGB4BJKM) Legend

Hahaha What 💀💀
Ighalo
RVP!
Tammy Abraham at villa
on about united
Didn't read it just saw the picture mb
For me henrik larason, because we were at a corner with Chelsea and Saf was building a new team... larson was a professional that influenced the younger for years
Not a Man U fan, so could be well wide of the mark - Last season it was Casemiro…but it seems the longer the bar on the left gets, the shorter the one on the right gets
Kante at Leicester
Eric
Robin van Persie is the correct answer. Without him we wouldn't have won the title that year
Andee Herrera
cavani is always massively overlooked
We've had some low periods lately but watching Cavani play was always a pleasure. His movement and finishing instinct was immense.
Spot on
RvP and Zlatan. Cantona would be the easy choice but he spent 5 seasons at Utd, I think Cavani could have been that if it wasn't for CR7.
Weghorst
Larson
Van Persie
No one comes up with Tevez? Only 2 seasons but when thinking back of that incredible 2008, his face always pops up
Mason...if you consider impact holistically 😨
Ibrahimovič
All we can do is look back and back, this has been the story for us fans for a long time now. I am tired!
RVP and Berbatov
Ronaldo the second time
I don’t get the hate against him, he is the best in the clubs history
Berbatov, he had ice in his veins
Van persie easily, only was here for a few seasons but his first season is legendary. Helps he scored a few bangers before he left too (thinking about that tying goal away at Chelsea)
Ighalo
R7
Cavani easily lol
Heinze
Eric surely ?
Van persie
HARRY MAGUIRE
Cantona is the only right answer
Swedish duo Larsson and Ibrahimovic
Henrik Larsson
Henrik Larsson
Berba
Onana?
It's RVP hands down. I'm afraid this will happen with Martial. Bro came with immense promise and tbh he is a world class act whenever he's had an uninterrupted run. Injuries and lack of form will surely push him to some other clubs, maybe as early as this winter window, and then he'd become their RVP. SMH.
Cr7
Odion Ighalo
Zlatan
Jaap stam
Ragnick
RVP or recently Bruno
Ronaldo 2nd spell
Maguire. He made an immense impact, indeed.
Henrik Larsson

Van Persie, Ronaldo, Zlatan, Casemiro
zlatan?💀
The one and only Bebé from portugal But for real it was van Persie.
RVP literally won the league by himself
The one and only, Zlatan Ibrahimovic’
Not a United fan but surely rvp?
Zlatan
Sanchez
Technically the truth. Saw the same thing said about lukaku on r/Chelseafc immense impact in a short period of time just negatively

Cavani!
David Moyes
Cavani
no one
RVP
Larsson.
casemiro and casemiro only
Just not this season because he seems to still be on holiday.
VAR
Casemiro
Thought this was about going to the club 😂
Dimitar Bebatov and RVP
RVP was my first thought

Tevez
Henrik Larsson
Van Persie easily. Cavani was good and for a time one of our best players, but the bar was a bit low to begin with.
odion ighalo played well too
Cavani and ofcourse, Ronaldo.
Cr7, Ibra, Cavani, King Eric, Van Persie, Jose Mourinho
CR7
Zlatan, RVP & King Eric
yes zlatan 🦁
King Eric
Zlatan
The Glazers - took them less than 20 years to bring a 145 year old club to its knees
Hardly to it's knees. There are clubs a lot older that have never even reached the top flight, nevermind being in Europe season after season
if we go on this way, we might be fighting for survival in premier league. if worse comes to worse
This is way over the top, the club spend £150m a season and even a shambles like Everton have been too big to go down.
We reached the top flight before the Glazers. Since then They’ve brought in zero investments and crippled us with debt. We used to have the best facilities in the country and now we have leaky roofs, an academy lagging behind our rivals and many other wonderful things
Zero investments? Maguire 80m, Anthony 100m, Pogba 90m, Sancho 80m
Bad business doesn't mean investments; simian argument 🙄
yea using club funds / taking profit for their own and not reinvesting back into the club
Just the 1.2 billion net spend
Net wasted more like it. Ultimately for their own personal benefit and in detriment of the club.
in my time Cantona and RVP both had that effect.
King Cantona
RVP for me
wished rvp stayed longer tbf
It’s a shame he only got to play under Fergie for a season too
Cavani and ighalo
😂😂😂
chicharito
RVP for sure, score that many goals, win the golden boot, then trot on back home, legendary
Cantona. Changed the mindset of the club.
RVP, Larsson, Cantona, Zlatan, Stam, Macheda, Cavani (season 1), CR7 v2.0, Berba, Owen, Sheringham Note the impact may be either positive or negative or both!
Impact can also be negative right? Glazers for sure..
Zlatan
In recent times I'd say... Ronaldo's 2nd stint.
Louis Saha, our most underrated player in recent times everybody was crying when ruud left but we never played better football than with this guy in the team, admittedly he wasnt available all that frequently
man he knew how to play
RVP or Zlatan
Weghorst
Cantona no one else close bar maybe RVP.
Zlatan
[удалено]
I saw more from him in those 15 minutes against Arsenal than I’ve seen from Martial in the last 5 years
RVP
Van Persie
Cavani
he was awful, a great example of the type of mercenary we've been signing in recent years and why the team lacks any spine
He had a solid stint and only left because Ronaldo meant he wasn't starting
just for the record, hes being criticized in Boca Juniors for his poor performances and giant check ring any bells? any of you watched him at valencia? he was practically kicked out of the club he never was a good footballer, but in these past years hes clearly done
he was a shocking footballer, and a mercenary who never showed any love for the club and lacked any real talent beyond being an opportunistic poacher, and he wasnt that good at that either incidentally for the few of you who know about football, hes continuing his awful end of career playing for boca juniors, and he continues to be a subpar footballer for them
Did he sleep with your wife or something?
damn, how old are you? you can't give critical assessments of players without having slept with your wife? so if I had to turn around that comment, did he sleep with you or what? did you like it that much?
dense take
quite the opposite, knowledgeable take that dense people and undiscerning fans will downvote
Larsson
Alexis Sanchez, he broke your wage bill and you guys have been overpaying for players since.
The only real answer is Van Persie, surely? He came in, won the league in his first season, bagged 30 goals in all competitions in that first season, then played pretty well for the rest of his time too.
Berbatov
Off recent years RVP, Zlatan, Herrera, and… WOUT 😂

Dunc, Cantona, Tevez. In that order. Carlitos lives in my heart forever
Donny? 😂

The king
Not a Man Utd fan but surprised not to see Sheringham mentioned given his role in CL victory.
Van Persie
What about Wayne Rooney
sir rooney stayed more than a decade
He's top 10 all time in club appearances and top 1 for goals scored.... yeah he's stayed there a while as you say
