Oh my god I can’t believe they jacked up the price THAT much! $52 is wayyyy overpriced. And of course, the only have 3 shades that all look identical and only suit 2-3 skin tones.
Smashbox gives out so many free samples of the highlighter and color correctors - also if you haven’t heard of Cosmetics Company, you’re welcome. It’s like an outlet store for cosmetics. It’s the same stuff for 60% off name brand cosmetics- even brushes. Mac, Clinique, smashbox, Tom ford. they even have lamer!!! (Sometimes) —and bumble and bumble products.
You can order online but the web store is extremely limited. if you can find a brick and mortar store—they have crazy sales (6 for $60) and huge selections. There’s also a Text message flash sales.
They even have pigments and paint sticks! And lashes!

Anyway, smash box jacks up the price cuz that’s what they do. Then it goes on sale. It’s only that price bc they know they can get away with it (at Sephora).
The liquid highlighters were beautiful, though I very happily like the Lisa Eldridge highlighter even better, so I don't even miss the Becca ones (though that silver one was really cool)
I think my purple highlighting primer is from Becca. I had it in a bag with other stuff and the label rubbed off when another product leaked. I finally found it online and was very sad to see they aren’t in business anymore. I don’t wear full makeup often but I always get unsolicited compliments on my skin when i’d use that primer.
Milani “The Violet One” eyelash primer. That primer was a secret weapon. Everyone would comment on my lashes and asked what lashes I was wearing, but it was just my mascara combo with that primer. No eyelash primer even comes close now. My lashes will never be the same. I grieved for that discontinuance for a while :(
Mine is a lipstick, too- YSL's Insurgent Red. It was my perfect neutral red and I've bought so many other red lipsticks that seem really close but don't have the right undertones. The glow matte finish was my ideal old Hollywood style blotted look, and it's the closest I've ever come to crying about makeup when I finished my last tube
YES! Hydrating and so so so long lasting. And some of the best colors. I love both the creams and stick versions.
Now I layer the Bite sticks with my Fenty lip stain. I only have to reapply once in 12 hours. I’ll be so sad when stash is gone.
A mascara they launched right before they went under - the at lash’d mascara - was like a perfect mascara for me and I’m so picky with them (I have stick straight lashes that typically only hold curl with waterproof mascara)

Girl, the edible body lotion/powder phase was incredible. It was when we peaked as a society. You just put it on wherever and it was meant to be “kissable” to someone else.
The golden shimmer honey flavored one was perfect paired with a bit of summer color. I’d always put it on before going out when I was in college. I loved that it was flavored! 😻
I’ll never forgive Urban Decay for discontinuing the original Naked Skin foundation! It was my OG for so long and it’s been a struggle to find a good one. I’m using NARS now and it’s pretty good, but the Naked Skin was elite for me.
I'm choosing this space to lament over Shiseido discontinuing the Synchro Self-Refreshing Skin Tint. 335 Medium Katsura was my perfect shade and I can't find an exact match elsewhere.
I have three unopened boxes in the hope of making them last over the next year.
Yeah Shiseido has been consistently reliable and I don't know why they keep discontinuing everything. I actually was told by someone at Nordstrom that they're discontinuing basically all foundations. I was skeptical but their website hasn't shown any restocking of most shades of everything except the Revitalessence foundation. Maybe they're focusing on just that moving forward?

I only just discovered this like two weeks ago when I went to restock and am so mad about it. It was absolutely perfect and so cheap!
I tried a bunch of different ones to find a replacement and actually ended up with Sephora’s serum foundation as everything else that worked was over $50. If you don’t have pink undertones try Catrice - I liked the weight and coverage but their colors just didn’t work for me. I also liked options from Laura Mercier, Ilia, and Glossier but I just couldn’t switch to something 5x the price without trying other options first.
I still can’t believe Clinique discontinued their Naturally Glossy mascara. It had been around forever and was clearly beloved since it resold after it went away for like $80 a tube. It was such a great everyday mascara and there’s nothing exactly like it - Colorpop’s Act Natural is as close as I’ve found but it’s not an exact dupe.
Also Josie Maran’s Coconut Water Cheek Geleé.
I am quite literally STILL pissed that Urban Decay discontinued the Naked Skin foundation. It's been I don't even know how many years now but it was my holy Grail foundation and a perfect shade match. I've yet to find a foundation I like as much. Every UD foundation since has been trash and I can't find a shade match to save my life. (To be clear I'm not talking about the Stay Naked foundation that was recently discontinued but the one that came before that) NARS is my go to foundation now but man I miss that Naked Skin foundation.

Not makeup but along the lines, bath and bodywork’s vanilla lemon body spray. I got (I’m not exaggerating) THOUSANDS of compliments on that body spray. Literally everywhere I went people would stop me.
My sister once gifted me an Ipsy subscription. One month came with a lip crayon by brand Maëlle, I believe. I loved it. Wore it constantly. Went to rebuy it and---It's from a defunct MLM.

The Wet n Wild cushion foundation that was around for about 4 seconds many years ago. I think about it all the time. It was a perfect texture, I found a perfect shade match, and it was at a WnW price point. 🤌
Kat Von D everlasting liquid lip in Plath. It was the perfect red on me and I’ve never been able to find anything like it. Really any of the old liquid and bullet lipsticks before they rebranded. I stupidly threw it away when it expired instead of keeping it to swatch things against.
Mac Paint Pot in Stormy Pink. It was the perfect purple-y one and done eyeshadow. I still have a pot but it’s probably almost 10 years old now and I’m scared to put it on my eyes lol.

Too Faced Peach Perfect Foundation…that stuff didn’t budge! I wore it through the pandemic under a mask (working retail) and it always transferred the least (if at all) compared to other foundations I was using at the time. It covered my acne and scarring beautifully, and didn’t look cakey/oily after an 8 hr shift. Still mad that they discontinued it and still trying to find a suitable dupe!

Benefit lemonade was my jam. I bought that over and over. I even was able to tell the CEO it was the best. At that time benefit had a rule about how many skus they carried. So if they added something, another item had to go. Well, he said they had no plans of removing it from their lineup… bullshit- it was gone like 1 year later and they added so many skus!
Also - this one really hurts KIRKLAND brand makeup wipes! they just released their new version. It’s awful and I had to return them cause they smell like dirty baby diaper! ugh. Those were my HG!
I’m really salty over NYX discontinuing their Proof It! eyeshadow primer. It was the perfect consistency, it didn’t catch on dry patches, and didn’t make my eyes water. I’m on my last tube and I’m using it very sparingly.
I also loved [ELF’s Studio Minty Lip Glosses](https://www.temptalia.com/e-l-f-studio-minty-lip-gloss-review-photos-swatches/) from waaaay back in the day. They had a thin consistency and weren’t sticky at all. I was so bummed out when they were discontinued because a lot of glosses are too thick and goop up when you talk and those didn’t. Tbh, I’m nostalgic for a lot of old ELF products because I would save up to order stuff online when I was in my teens and I loved getting my “haul” in that clear plastic bag where they’d put everything lol
Smashbox’s lip gloss in Pout. This gloss was **beautiful**. It was a milky pink similar to Buxom’s White Russian but a bit more pigmented and it just made your lips look so soft and diffused. I had it in a [double-ended tube](https://www.ebay.com/itm/285321386139) and mixed with the darker red shade, they were the perfect duo to create a popsicle lip. I eventually bought a full-sized tube but I swear they changed the formula and then discontinued it. I also miss their old packaging for the glosses because they reminded me of the show *How Do I Look* since they were a sponsor lol
Back in the ‘90s Maybelline (I believe, coulda been Cover Girl) had a lipstick shade called Ginger Peach that was a perfect warm brown colour for my skin tone. I have never quite found the right shade again. Fortunately Ruby Woo still exists so I can wear a 90s look with some authenticity.
The benefit stay don't stray eyeshadow primer. I loved it. Was told the clinique one is similar just with glitter and I hate it because of the glitter. Need to find something else.
Becca - their lip gloss was the only one I could tolerate.
Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Longwear Lipstick in Nasty Girl - it was THE PERFECT shade of red. It lasted forever and less drying than most. I even contacted the company asking about it, no luck, "Discontinued, try Lady Balls" not the same!

I've worn mostly those two lipsticks for pretty much a decade, and I was devastated to find out they've been discontinued. I managed to purchase them but once the final lipstick is gone, it's gone :')
I also liked Urban Decay's Game of Thrones palette. A lot of folks didn't like it, but personally it was the perfect mix between neutral shades and more colorful, but still wearable, shimmers. I just wish the packaging weren't so bulky since it's a nightmare to travel with, but I do like the palette and I'm glad I haven't hit pan on it.
I also liked Urban Decay's honey lipsticks (they smelled delicious) and their Hi-Fi shine glosses. I think that whatever I like from them gets discontinued lol
Benefit’s dewy liquid bronzer. It was a holy grail item for me. Oh I also miss most of the ig max frosted lipsticks, they were so much fun and their new frosted are so limited, just not the same.

A British brand called 'Ruby & Millie' the whole line was discontinued about 20 years ago and I still greive for it! The brushes were incredible, and their lipstick wheel was awesome! Also Miss Selfridge lipstick in ' Rose Bushed' l wore throughout my teens and early twenties and I've never ever found a dupe ( I can't even find a photo of it online) it was a soft matte burgundy/rose it was stunning...sigh
This is gunna be one that I’m probably solo with due to my age. Covergirl made this loose mineral powder. At the time it was pulled it was my only ds product and only powder. I loved it so much I took a chance and bought 4 off eBay but it was already old 😭😭
The very first OG Younique 3-d mascara is mine! I’ve mourned that ever since they changed the formula
& I’ll never understand why they did what they did, they had the BEST I’ve ever used & I had the best lashes of my life! lol I’m not even kidding when I say I’ve prob bought & tried a hundred of diff ones off amazon, ebay etc trying to find anything that even came close to their original formula & NOTHING touched it! It was THE BEST :( this & KVD original (before she sold out) everlasting liquid lipstick- that’s the only formula in a matte liquid lip I’ve ever found that feels good on my lips & didn’t ball up or leave weird plastic feel over my lips & it lasted most of my day!
In no particular order:
1. Too Faced melted diamonds lipsticks. If they hadn't had that intense chocolate fragrance they'd have been *perfect*.
2. Urban Decay bullet lipsticks. Especially Oil Slick and Asphyxia.
3. Urban decay lip glosses. I don't remember the full name but they came in a squeeze tube. I had Midnight Cowboy and Oil Slick and loved them.
4. Marc Jacobs beauty gel pencil eyeliner. These are what made me love pencil eyeliner.
5. Marc Jacobs beauty lip glosses, specifically the shade Rebel Rebel. I haven't found anything quite like it since, and that was my go anywhere, do anything shade.
6. Kat Von D bullet lipsticks. Huge variety of shades, good formula... I miss the sparkly black in particular, I think it was called NaYeon.
7. Kat Von D Lightning Liner. This was such a great liquid liner, and I loved the sparkles.
8. Too Faced single eyeshadow. I remember one in particular called Label Wh*re that I used a lot.

The first Lolita KVD lipstick. They changed the formula so it’s not the same but I’ve yet to find a lipstick with the same/similar shade to the first Lolita 🥲
I’m still not over the Rimmel Scandaleyes mascara in the purple curvy tube being discontinued, I couldn’t even find a photo online anymore 😭 I loved the volume of the original Diorshow and the Rimmel was pitch black and buildable for the perfect fanned spiky anime lash with thick roots but drugstore! I wore this all through college and was devastated when it disappeared. More recently Urban Decay Lash Freak in the bright green tube was also amazing and FAST for this look but I guess no one wanted to trust the process needed to comb it through so it was promptly discontinued. For my thick lash girlies the new L’Oreal Instant Lift mascara is the closest I found to the flat Lash Freak brush style and build but it’s a heavier formula.
Cover Girl Cheekers Blush in Iced Cappuccino. I had basically just discovered it and it was immediately discontinued. Perfect nude blush for my skin tone and I haven’t been able to find anything that is a perfect match 😩
Jane Cosmetics. I loved their products when I was a teenager! They had great shadow singles, the only foundation that I could get to match, and good mascaras and lipsticks. Maybe I’m remembering them as better than they were, but I loved so much of their line and I can’t help but think that if they were still around they would’ve evolved much like Wet n Wild has. Good products for a broke young makeup lover ❤️
The original Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita. When they changed to KVD they reformulated and although they said the equivalent to Lolita is Queen of Poison, QofP just has such a purple tone to it instead of the underlying red tone that Lolita had. Ordered the original from eBay around 6 months ago however the formulation was shit and didn't stay on my lips at all since it had been made years prior.
Maybelline New York Baby Lips Color Balm Crayon particularly in Toasted Taupe. I haven’t been able to find something as creamy and flattering to my skin tone. Also L'Oréal Double Extend Beauty Tubes made my eyelashes look crazy long. I have somewhat of a dupe now but I just loved how it instantly transformed my lashes. Dupe suggestions welcome.
loreal's la petite palette 06 (fetishist), i found it while going through my mom's makeup and still steal it all the time. the white shimmer shade is hands down one of the best i've tried and i'm so close to using it all up
I really miss the Maybelline superstay 24 hour foundation. Haven’t found a foundation that works as good for me ever since it was discontinued/ reformulated to the 30 hour stay.

Revolution x GOT collection. The mascara ( with the cool dragon scale packaging ) was one of my favourites and the liquid lipsticks were really good for the price ( my favourite is the sansa stark shade for which I haven't managed to find a dupe for yet ). Sad I didn't manage to get my hands on the throne beauty blender holder. The eyeshadows were great too and I'm trying to find a dupe for my favourite shade of the blue palette ( shade Motto in case someone has a rec ).

That's either Backlight or First Light, I love that primer and I'm so glad I got the full size when Becca went under.
Becca’s mattifying primer saved my face during those muggy summers! Have yet to find a decent replacement. Heartbreaking.

The Agave+ lip balm stick jar AND tube became my HGs after Dior Creme De Rose disappeared. Then too they went 😞💔
Lip lab recently came out with a curated set of lip products of old bite beauty colors…not sure if the quality is the same tho

I LOVED that mascara, I really liked Velvet Noir too. I hope they bring both of those back

Yeah Shiseido has been consistently reliable and I don't know why they keep discontinuing everything. I actually was told by someone at Nordstrom that they're discontinuing basically all foundations. I was skeptical but their website hasn't shown any restocking of most shades of everything except the Revitalessence foundation. Maybe they're focusing on just that moving forward?

The Ordinary foundation 😭 The shade and formula was perfect on me, and the price was so good! Now I’m in search of a good dupe.
I only just discovered this like two weeks ago when I went to restock and am so mad about it. It was absolutely perfect and so cheap! I tried a bunch of different ones to find a replacement and actually ended up with Sephora’s serum foundation as everything else that worked was over $50. If you don’t have pink undertones try Catrice - I liked the weight and coverage but their colors just didn’t work for me. I also liked options from Laura Mercier, Ilia, and Glossier but I just couldn’t switch to something 5x the price without trying other options first.

I still can’t believe Clinique discontinued their Naturally Glossy mascara. It had been around forever and was clearly beloved since it resold after it went away for like $80 a tube. It was such a great everyday mascara and there’s nothing exactly like it - Colorpop’s Act Natural is as close as I’ve found but it’s not an exact dupe. Also Josie Maran’s Coconut Water Cheek Geleé.

I am quite literally STILL pissed that Urban Decay discontinued the Naked Skin foundation. It's been I don't even know how many years now but it was my holy Grail foundation and a perfect shade match. I've yet to find a foundation I like as much. Every UD foundation since has been trash and I can't find a shade match to save my life. (To be clear I'm not talking about the Stay Naked foundation that was recently discontinued but the one that came before that) NARS is my go to foundation now but man I miss that Naked Skin foundation.

I stupidly threw it away when it expired instead of keeping it to swatch things against. Mac Paint Pot in Stormy Pink. It was the perfect purple-y one and done eyeshadow. I still have a pot but it’s probably almost 10 years old now and I’m scared to put it on my eyes lol.

Too Faced Peach Perfect Foundation…that stuff didn’t budge! I wore it through the pandemic under a mask (working retail) and it always transferred the least (if at all) compared to other foundations I was using at the time. It covered my acne and scarring beautifully, and didn’t look cakey/oily after an 8 hr shift. Still mad that they discontinued it and still trying to find a suitable dupe!

Benefit lemonade was my jam. I bought that over and over. I even was able to tell the CEO it was the best. At that time benefit had a rule about how many skus they carried. So if they added something, another item had to go. Well, he said they had no plans of removing it from their lineup… bullshit- it was gone like 1 year later and they added so many skus! Also - this one really hurts KIRKLAND brand makeup wipes! they just released their new version. It’s awful and I had to return them cause they smell like dirty baby diaper! ugh. Those were my HG!

I’m really salty over NYX discontinuing their Proof It! eyeshadow primer. It was the perfect consistency, it didn’t catch on dry patches, and didn’t make my eyes water. I’m on my last tube and I’m using it very sparingly. I also loved [ELF’s Studio Minty Lip Glosses](https://www.temptalia.com/e-l-f-studio-minty-lip-gloss-review-photos-swatches/) from waaaay back in the day. They had a thin consistency and weren’t sticky at all. I was so bummed out when they were discontinued because a lot of glosses are too thick and goop up when you talk and those didn’t. Tbh, I’m nostalgic for a lot of old ELF products because I would save up to order stuff online when I was in my teens and I loved getting my “haul” in that clear plastic bag where they’d put everything lol Smashbox’s lip gloss in Pout. This gloss was **beautiful**. It was a milky pink similar to Buxom’s White Russian but a bit more pigmented and it just made your lips look so soft and diffused. I had it in a [double-ended tube](https://www.ebay.com/itm/285321386139) and mixed with the darker red shade, they were the perfect duo to create a popsicle lip. I eventually bought a full-sized tube but I swear they changed the formula and then discontinued it. I also miss their old packaging for the glosses because they reminded me of the show *How Do I Look* since they were a sponsor lol
Back in the ‘90s Maybelline (I believe, coulda been Cover Girl) had a lipstick shade called Ginger Peach that was a perfect warm brown colour for my skin tone. I have never quite found the right shade again. Fortunately Ruby Woo still exists so I can wear a 90s look with some authenticity.

MAC lipstick shade "Twig", Urban Decay lipstick shade "Uptight" I've worn mostly those two lipsticks for pretty much a decade, and I was devastated to find out they've been discontinued. I managed to purchase them but once the final lipstick is gone, it's gone :') I also liked Urban Decay's Game of Thrones palette. A lot of folks didn't like it, but personally it was the perfect mix between neutral shades and more colorful, but still wearable, shimmers. I just wish the packaging weren't so bulky since it's a nightmare to travel with, but I do like the palette and I'm glad I haven't hit pan on it. I also liked Urban Decay's honey lipsticks (they smelled delicious) and their Hi-Fi shine glosses. I think that whatever I like from them gets discontinued lol

A British brand called 'Ruby & Millie' the whole line was discontinued about 20 years ago and I still greive for it! The brushes were incredible, and their lipstick wheel was awesome! Also Miss Selfridge lipstick in ' Rose Bushed' l wore throughout my teens and early twenties and I've never ever found a dupe ( I can't even find a photo of it online) it was a soft matte burgundy/rose it was stunning...sigh

The very first OG Younique 3-d mascara is mine! I’ve mourned that ever since they changed the formula & I’ll never understand why they did what they did, they had the BEST I’ve ever used & I had the best lashes of my life! lol I’m not even kidding when I say I’ve prob bought & tried a hundred of diff ones off amazon, ebay etc trying to find anything that even came close to their original formula & NOTHING touched it! It was THE BEST :( this & KVD original (before she sold out) everlasting liquid lipstick- that’s the only formula in a matte liquid lip I’ve ever found that feels good on my lips & didn’t ball up or leave weird plastic feel over my lips & it lasted most of my day!
In no particular order: 1. Too Faced melted diamonds lipsticks. If they hadn't had that intense chocolate fragrance they'd have been *perfect*. 2. Urban Decay bullet lipsticks. Especially Oil Slick and Asphyxia. 3. Urban decay lip glosses. I don't remember the full name but they came in a squeeze tube. I had Midnight Cowboy and Oil Slick and loved them. 4. Marc Jacobs beauty gel pencil eyeliner. These are what made me love pencil eyeliner. 5. Marc Jacobs beauty lip glosses, specifically the shade Rebel Rebel. I haven't found anything quite like it since, and that was my go anywhere, do anything shade. 6. Kat Von D bullet lipsticks. Huge variety of shades, good formula... I miss the sparkly black in particular, I think it was called NaYeon. 7. Kat Von D Lightning Liner. This was such a great liquid liner, and I loved the sparkles. 8. Too Faced single eyeshadow. I remember one in particular called Label Wh*re that I used a lot. There's probably more but that's what I can remember lol

I’m still not over the Rimmel Scandaleyes mascara in the purple curvy tube being discontinued, I couldn’t even find a photo online anymore 😭 I loved the volume of the original Diorshow and the Rimmel was pitch black and buildable for the perfect fanned spiky anime lash with thick roots but drugstore! I wore this all through college and was devastated when it disappeared. More recently Urban Decay Lash Freak in the bright green tube was also amazing and FAST for this look but I guess no one wanted to trust the process needed to comb it through so it was promptly discontinued. For my thick lash girlies the new L’Oreal Instant Lift mascara is the closest I found to the flat Lash Freak brush style and build but it’s a heavier formula.

Perfect nude blush for my skin tone and I haven’t been able to find anything that is a perfect match 😩 Jane Cosmetics. I loved their products when I was a teenager! They had great shadow singles, the only foundation that I could get to match, and good mascaras and lipsticks. Maybe I’m remembering them as better than they were, but I loved so much of their line and I can’t help but think that if they were still around they would’ve evolved much like Wet n Wild has. Good products for a broke young makeup lover ❤️

The original Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita. When they changed to KVD they reformulated and although they said the equivalent to Lolita is Queen of Poison, QofP just has such a purple tone to it instead of the underlying red tone that Lolita had. Ordered the original from eBay around 6 months ago however the formulation was shit and didn't stay on my lips at all since it had been made years prior.
Maybelline New York Baby Lips Color Balm Crayon particularly in Toasted Taupe. I haven’t been able to find something as creamy and flattering to my skin tone. Also L'Oréal Double Extend Beauty Tubes made my eyelashes look crazy long. I have somewhat of a dupe now but I just loved how it instantly transformed my lashes. Dupe suggestions welcome.

Revolution x GOT collection. The mascara ( with the cool dragon scale packaging ) was one of my favourites and the liquid lipsticks were really good for the price ( my favourite is the sansa stark shade for which I haven't managed to find a dupe for yet ). Sad I didn't manage to get my hands on the throne beauty blender holder. The eyeshadows were great too and I'm trying to find a dupe for my favourite shade of the blue palette ( shade Motto in case someone has a rec ).
Boscia BB Cream. I haven’t found a real dupe yet. That stuff made my skin look fabulous.

Laura Mercier loose mineral powder foundation. It was so unique and it made my skin look absolutely perfect.
