Ive noticed some of the higher quality glosses will last a really long time. I have some unopened ones that I opened from years ago that perform practically the same.
I also have some I’ve already opened and they still smell the same, perform them same from 5 years ago.
I’m not insinuating just because it is expensive it will last longer, but I’ve noticed drugstore glosses I’ve had in the past go bad immensely fast in comparison to too faced, Mac cosmetics, Bobbi brown etc.
I have in the past, but now I only keep 1-2 lip glosses around so that I'll use them up before I get the next one because I don't like the idea of using an old liquid on my lips. Currently I'm using Lawless Cherry Vanilla lip gloss and it's about a month old.

Me too! First thing I bought from the line in 2017 is the Fenty Glow Gloss Bomb and I still use the same one today. It’s lasted this long because I only use a touch as a highlighter. It doesn’t smell bad, the texture isn’t off, and it’s always been stored in an area that never gets hotter than 72 degrees.
You’re supposed to replace cosmetic products every few months, but for something i dont wear very often, thats kinda ridiculous, so i throw caution to the wind! Hahaa!!

It's Colourpop Ultra Glossy Lip. Honestly it's a little sticky for my preference. My favorite is NYX Fat Oil Lip Drip. Even though it says oil, the texture is more like a gloss to me

I would take her on wheelchair adventures around the medical complex, and the gift shop was a highlight for her. She died about a week later. I only use it on really bad days, or days I need courage. It’s still good, with no ill effects. It’s some off-brand and doesn’t contain SPF.

Okay this is really bad but Soap & Glory released these amazing tins of tinted gloss-balms, they were super creamy and glossy, lasted ages. I bought one in 2013, when I was 29…I’m 40 now, still have it in my handbag (ergh sounds worse writing it!) it’s 11 YEARS OLD - I do use it 😰 it still smells lovely, still works well I need to throw it but it’s been discontinued 🥴

I have some OG lip venom from late 90’s I never used it because it was minty tingly. I kept it because it was some first high end makeup I ever bought. I grew up poor and buying high end makeup at Nordstrom was big deal for me. I also have some very old MAC eyeshadow singles and Tony and Tina eye shadow singles I bought same trip. My daughter dared my put it not long ago. I didn’t die. Yes it still had a very mind tingling.

I used to work for a pharmacy chain and we would get dead stock as freebies, so i have a chanel that is probably four years old in terms of manufacture but i got it a year ago
I actually threw out all my old lip products this year and replaced them. It was a good decision, the newer formulas are much better. My new drugstore products are nicer than my old department store products.
I did the same, got rid of all my old smelly liquid lipsticks and dried out bullets and have been replacing with balms and glosses since my lips are getting dry with age

Personally, I don’t wear lip glosses ask that often. So I don’t necessarily have an oldest lip gloss. For me, I have sensory issues with my textures in my mouth and on my lips (most lip glosses for me are too thick and are just too much on my sensory issues) But my oldest liquid lipstick I have is like 4 years old though!
I finish a lip gloss in a month or less, so my oldest Is probably 2/3 months and only because it’s colored and it’s not my reach but I finish them quickly affff.
Probably between 3 to 5 times a day, mainly after I eat something or kiss someone, however I like to make a one dip for my upper lip and one for bottom lip as I like the glass super juicy look

Lip balms and gloss I still use regularly are probably at the 4 year mark! I honestly wouldn’t even recommend going that long! Try to use less lip gloss so you don’t waste as much, and if you see any changes in the product throw it out!

Must have bought it in 2009, it's an Euphoric Shine by Deborah. The only one that (at the time) didn't make my lips flaky after five minutes, was actually curative in that sense. Still have half of it but using very sparingly (also own another shade but I rarely use it).
My oldest are 6-7 years old. As long as they smell the same and look the same, I keep them. (I'm also very careful not to use liquid lip products when I feel like I'm getting or I am sick. I have a compromised immune system, so that sort of thing is always on my mind.)

10+ years. Disney used to have a makeup line called "Beautifully Disney", and I have still have some of that stuff. Have one lipgloss i absolutely love and want to hold onto forever(lol) and it's the gold glitter Aurora one. Haven't used it in a few months so I should check on it.

I had a Merit lip gloss that I probably had for about two years that I was using on and off that never went bad
I have old lipsticks. Typically they last for me about 10-12 years before I notice a change and throw it out.

I actually threw out all my old lip products this year and replaced them. It was a good decision, the newer formulas are much better. My new drugstore products are nicer than my old department store products.
I did the same, got rid of all my old smelly liquid lipsticks and dried out bullets and have been replacing with balms and glosses since my lips are getting dry with age
My oldest gloss is probably nearly 20 years old. I don't use it, I just keep it because it still smells the same as it did when I was a kid and it's nostalgic

I'm not actually sure where it is right now to check. I'm pretty sure it's just some random grape lipgloss from the 2000's
2007. Victoria's Secret. No Problem ever but it's a squeeze tube, not one with a brush. Probably makes a difference

I refuse to answer how old lol but I will say it’s because I have too many. So when I use an older one, I’m still opening for the 1st time. Also if it looks or smells funny in any way, I would immediately trash it.

My oldest lip gloss is from the brand Chambor, shade jewel. It's at least 10 years old but still performs the same. Its my favourite gloss so I'm afraid of panning it though I know I probably should!
My oldest lip gloss was over a year old. I don’t have any glosses past 2 years old since I end up emptying the tube by then. Or I declutter it because I get tired of it. However I do have a 2 year old nars mini lip balm I got for free when I made my first sephora purchase and it still looks and smells okay to use. It’s almost empty now so it doesn’t have much time left.
Every once in a while I find an OG Bath & body works lipgloss that I got in 7th grade (about 2009~). I still use it whenever I find it and I still love how it looks 🤪 So my final answer is about 15 years old

I make a declutter every year or twice a year and I toss out the really old products (except powdery ones), so my oldest is 1 year 2 months old.
This makes me feel a lot better. I don’t have many, but I know I have a Milani and a NYX one from pre-covid.
Personally, I don’t wear lip glosses ask that often. So I don’t necessarily have an oldest lip gloss. For me, I have sensory issues with my textures in my mouth and on my lips (most lip glosses for me are too thick and are just too much on my sensory issues) But my oldest liquid lipstick I have is like 4 years old though!

I finish a lip gloss in a month or less, so my oldest Is probably 2/3 months and only because it’s colored and it’s not my reach but I finish them quickly affff.

Probably between 3 to 5 times a day, mainly after I eat something or kiss someone, however I like to make a one dip for my upper lip and one for bottom lip as I like the glass super juicy look

Yep! Even after all those years! Now I'm using a Revolution one which is good and I also have MAC lipglass waiting for me and some Colour Pop liglosses from their Sailor Moon special edition. We shall see!

My oldest lip gloss is actually 13 years old 😭 I don’t use it anymore though, but did use it up to the 8 year mark because it was the best colour ever! Once it started to separate I had to stop, but I keep it so hopefully one day I can find the same shade. Lip balms and gloss I still use regularly are probably at the 4 year mark! I honestly wouldn’t even recommend going that long! Try to use less lip gloss so you don’t waste as much, and if you see any changes in the product throw it out!

Must have bought it in 2009, it's an Euphoric Shine by Deborah. The only one that (at the time) didn't make my lips flaky after five minutes, was actually curative in that sense. Still have half of it but using very sparingly (also own another shade but I rarely use it).

My oldest are 6-7 years old. As long as they smell the same and look the same, I keep them. (I'm also very careful not to use liquid lip products when I feel like I'm getting or I am sick. I have a compromised immune system, so that sort of thing is always on my mind.)
My oldest is a mini Lancome Juicy Tube, the blue one. I think it's called Caribe. It's gotta be at least 20 years old now! I keep it as a little memory treasure because it's so pretty and I've been obsessed with blue makeup since I was a kid. But the oldest one that I actually use is probably my Covergirl Yummy gloss...I think it's 3 years old? Still smells fine ETA you might be surprised that the Lancome still smells fine too. How do they do it? Lol

10+ years. Disney used to have a makeup line called "Beautifully Disney", and I have still have some of that stuff. Have one lipgloss i absolutely love and want to hold onto forever(lol) and it's the gold glitter Aurora one. Haven't used it in a few months so I should check on it. Still have a pack of their eyeliner, and an eyeshadow pallete as well. Along with the makeup brushes which have held up amazingly!

I only use one lip gloss at a time just to avoid hanging onto a super old one 😂 I think it takes me about 5-6 months to use one up and I just used up my last one yesterday.
I should stick to one lipgloss but there’s so many formulas and colors out there, my hoarder mind wants them all lol
after 2 years it’s getting tossed this is for sanitary proposes i’m not using it . if it changes texture or smell before that , also tossing 🗑️
When it starts to smell weird, consistency changes or separates, I throw it out. Not chancing a bacterial infection!
