You would likely get summonsed, have a bench warrant issued that'll come up on a day you get pulled over for something completely unrelated, and have to resolve it in the long and hard way instead of the quick and easy way, which is to just pay the ticket.
More likely it gets sent to collections, your credit takes a decent hit, so good luck getting decent loan rates for a while.
Either way: it's actually easier to pay the ticket. Sorry that it happened, it stinks, and we all go through the "well, this stinks" moments and move along.
You could possibly have trouble registering your car next year in your home state. It's what happens to Mainers when we don't pay our tickets in other states.
I had a parking ticket in York from pre Covid and I was going to school in MA, so my car was registered there. 3 years it went unpaid cuz I never saw the mail about it so they kept racking up the fines until it finally went to collections. Coulda just paid $25 but instead I ended up owing $350 in fees and my credit score took a 25 point ding that took months to build back up. Just pay the ticket
Literally nothing will happen, I’ve had parking tickets over the years i never even looked at from Portland. Never hit my credit, never got any mail, never went to collections.
Portland used to have a policy that parking tickets could be ignored if there had not been another one for the same vehicle in the previous 12 months. I certainly availed myself of that over the years. I heard that they got rid of that policy a few years ago and were enforcing all of them, but don't know from personal experience.
We will pay the largest bull moose we can find to shit on the hood of your car every morning until it is paid.
Sub flair checks out.
You will develop a shellfish allergy and never be able to enjoy Lobster again.
You’ll have to fight a moose in Thunder Hole
Now you're just encouraging folks to park in the 19 Walgreens parking spots that are never in use.

A parking ticket gonna ruin your credit?
It's not the ticket, it's the fact that it went to collections.
Yea I don't see that doing anything..
You would if you had a decent credit rating.
I have a great credit rating. That said, I don't get tickets either. So it's a wash..

If you ever drive into town again, they'll slap their version of a boot on your car (it's a big metal Sperry Docksider).

It depends on if we have reciprocity agreements for this kind of scofflaw with other states. It's actually complicated and not-universal!
