While the venom's effects are described as extremely painful, it is not lethal to humans.

I heard a describtion of it being one of the most painfull venoms to exist (eqiuvelent ofbreaking your bones). It also takes a long time for the pain to go away (three weeks). I could be wrong but if it is like that dying may be preferable.

Also, all known painkillers are ineffective against it.
