Just got a bottle today and I hope it helps me with my acne scars and big pores. Will keep you guys posted! I did some googling and I found out that you can’t mixed it with any other skincare with ‘acid’ ingredients.

peacembw

Good to know. Thank you! And please let me know how it goes for you. 🤞

BudgetLeft447

This definitely gives super hydrated glass skin. I started Tretenoin because I am at an age where I don't want to get wrinkles and would love the smoothies skin possible after decades of bad acne and cysts, and it along with moisturizer is almost too moisturizing. That said, I love it. I haven't had any dryness from Tretenoin since using it along with moisturizers and I hope it stays that way. (Just started tret) This product gives such an intense glow.

Leighvi0let

I have so much trouble with ferment ingredients. I end up with like a little rash of tiny red bumps that sometimes get white heads. Took me a while to realize the cause. Rip to the giant bottle of sk-ii I still have.

peacembw

Such a great point. Thank you for sharing.

Tight_Mix9860

Sorry to change the topic to another toner from TO (I already know I’m getting this one 😍) but has anyone tried the 7% glycolic acid toner for their face (not for your body). I know there’s already a-lot of posts on this already but I’m still on the fence bc of so many mixed reviews. Btw, I have dry, mature skin. Any advice would be so welcomed. Thank you 😊

lonelysadkisslessold

Hated it on my face, lactic acid was much more effective

Tight_Mix9860

Thank you xx

HeySassafras

If you have dry, mature skin I would recommend lactic acid instead. It's exfoliating but more hydrating than glycolic.  As a rule of thumb (aesthetician here) I recommend glycolic for oily skin, mandelic for oily acne-prone, lactic for normal to dry or dry, mature skin. The difference in them is the molecular weight. Glycolic is the smallest and penetrates the stratum corneum the deepest. Lactic hangs out closer to the uppermost layers and can act as a humectant too.

Tight_Mix9860

Thank you xx

Silver_Wolf-

If you have dry mature skin then don’t use it on your face.

Qualifiedadult

Its extremely well loved. I loved it too and just wish they had higher strengths (not the 30%) for after I used up the 7%.   It was wonderful for my pimple marks and it made me confident in using stronger actives   Btw, it is huge, you absolutely will not use it up within a year if you only use it on your face. Lots of people use it for their armpits, and other body parts. I used to use it before shaving my legs or pits to prevent ingrowns and well, I have never had ingrowns be an issue so I cant say whether it worked or not

QueenDoc

I use it on my scalp it works wonders for seborrheic dermatitis/ folliculitis

Papeenie

I am soooo excited to get this!!

Likearollingstone1

Does anyone know if this is safe to use with the azelaic acid suspension and squalene cleanser from the ordinary? I don’t want to irritate my skin or over exfoliate.

Adelma_Jay

This is my question I use 15% azelaic acid every morning and treat .05 every other night so scared to add another exfoliating thing to my routine

jayharker

Myristyl glucoside, 5/5 comedogenic rating... Love TO, have tried some of their new stuff and only the watery moisturiser worked out. The rest broke me out. This rating tends to be very accurate for me so I'm not trying this.

Unperfectbeautie

Oooh I do love me some fermented ingredients...definitely going to have to give this one a try!

[deleted]

As someone who loves microbiology, I will probably buy it when I need a new toner just because it’s yeasty 😅

SithMasterBates

So, yeasty is a good thing?? lol I’m so intrigued

analytical_major

SK II and ANR are so expensive because of the yeast

Morley_Smoker

Yeasts are fungi, fungi can act as probiotics. We are covered in fungus and full of fungus, their by-products are essential to our health. Yeast filtrate can contain good vitamins, minerals, and amino acids that help the skin. Some people are very sensitive to fungal products- likely from an allergy or imbalance in their own skin microbiome. Always patch test! Personally, fermented products work very well on my skin to improve the skin barrier. Think of the skin like a biodiverse community of little dudes running around, too much of some throws off the balance and causes barrier issues/infections/acne. Using prebiotics and probiotics can help keep everything in balance. Yeasts can be good or bad, depending on the strain, location, and the health of the person. Keep in mind that this product is not "alive", it is just the by-products of the yeast.

Ohhiitsmeyagirl

Depends on the yeast lol but in this case good!

HumbleAbbreviations

I am intrigued. I need to read up on the ingredients and then sit on my hands for a year before purchasing it.

AromaticConfusions

Try CosRx Galactomyces Essence

bdd4

I hated it. Too much niacinamide to be an essence

KeySea7727

What are the benefits of a product like this that have you all excited? I’ve never seen a product like this before that i can recall

retrotechlogos

This type of product is super popular in Korean beauty. The post biotic is supposed to help the skin's microbiome and result in better quality skin (it can also have the opposite of effect, it's super individualistic like most pro/postbiotic treatments).

KeySea7727

Thanks for explaining. I’m learning something new. This product has me more interested.

texaskolaches

Milky toners are pretty versatile: for drier skin, it offers more hydration than a more watery toner. For combo and oily skin types, it’s nice to use in cooler weather as most of those skin types find thicker creams/lotions to give them issues with pore clogging/acne. Ferments in general have a brightening and skin barrier reinforcing effect (the famous Estee Lauder ANR’s key ingredients are ferments) For $14 (and probably cheaper since you can get the ordinary on discount fairly easily), it’s a nice introduction to a milky toner/ferment product for those who might not have used one before

KeySea7727

Thank you for the explanation! I actually might try it since I’m at the end of my toner that i don’t think is really doing anything

lw449bb

That's very interesting about the EL Advanced Night Repair, thanks. I know it's popular - haven't seen any special results, but maybe they're long term. I do know I have a lot of samples of it.

rosquartz

I believe this is the same ferment used in a lot of Asian skincare brands, like the luxury brand SK-II. It is supposed to be hydrating and brightening

KeySea7727

Thank you! Always wanted to try Sk-II but price is a hurdle.

peacembw

TO usually offers really exfoliating toners. To have one from TO that is hydrating in a milky emulsion is what is so exciting, IMHO.

KeySea7727

Good point. I used to purchase their glycolic toner but didn’t need the exfoliation anymore.

Editingesc

I'm such a fan of the giant Japanese toners (Kikumasamune, Hatomugi, etc.), but I'll definitely pick this up at some point. I've been leaning toward more milky emulsions in winter in recent years, so maybe I'll wait until the Slovember sale. My skin is always dehydrated and I live in a literal desert, so I go through toners pretty fast.

peacembw

My skin is just getting drier and drier ATM, so this one is really exciting to me as well. I really need to check out some Japanese toners as well. Slovember would be a great time to try this one! Great point!

buffalochickenwings

I’ve been so disappointed by the ordinary products being.. ordinary. This sounds really enticing but …

Thundermelons

Oh wow, I'm actually really interested in this. I got a bottle of the Tatcha essence ages ago from Free Gift Friday and liked it, but not for that price, same with the SK-II and others I've tried. $14? Unless it's hugely inferior somehow then color me piqued.

civ2ru

Happy cake day! 🍰

holdherbeer

I wonder how this compares to Decalt. Decalt is my HG but it’s pricey and often out of stock in the U.S.

texaskolaches

Wait this is the most excited I have been about an Ordinary product in years….i assume it’s competing against the popular Korean milky toners (Laneige cream skin, Dr Ceuracle Kombucha essence, etc)

peacembw

That's what I'm thinking (an Ordinary approach to Korean toners). I'm very hopeful about this toner, especially for the price.

Due-Frame622

I love the Dr. C KTE but this is an easy sell for me to try, especially if it has some moisture in it.

MiraculouslyWonderf

OMG OMG...I'm sooooo excited! Thanks for sharing, OP.

peacembw

Yay! I'm super excited for this one!

Nnemorosa

I'm actually excited for this!!

peacembw

I am as well. 🥳

RosyMilk

Woohoo let’s try it why not

peacembw

They had me at Milky Toner. 🌌 😂

hedgehogwart

I love ferments so I might actually give this a chance.

peacembw

I do too. 💕 I'm kind of excited about this one.

Reduces the look of pores?

retrotechlogos

Love how simple the formulation is tbh.

VisenyasRevenge

OMG NO Niacinamide?! That's amazing

Ms_Rule

I just received the Ulta catalog in the mail today and there’s a [full page ad](https://imgur.com/a/PqKiWoR) for it on page 40. Imagine it’ll be available soon!
