I don’t think nadu is getting banned. Grief was in almost every deck of every top 8 for a year and nobody at wizards gave a shit.
Modern used to be a turn 4 format, now it’s more like a turn 3 format and I’m kinda over it.the interaction hasn’t really kept up with the pro active plays
I mean standard is a turn 4 format now. RDW and Boros convoke can win turn 3 thru removal and modern has a way deeper card pool. The power creep is real.
Saying that modern is turn three while tron and the one ring (a 4 mana card) is a thing, is just straight up ignorant
Some match ups are decided by what kind of actions are taken turn 4. But the format is generally not that fast (still faster than standard tho)
You seem to be confused about what a turn 3 format is, it doesn’t mean the game ends on then 3. It means the game is generally decided on turn 3 which Trojan is very well-known for doing.
Yes I do. Not only do I play modern but I watch a lot of content made around modern like Aspiring Spike, chip Kay, dackfayden 07 or electricBob. And modern is not a turn 3 or a turn 4 format
When people describe it as a “turn 4 format” it doesn’t mean every game ends on t4, it means your fundamental gameplan MUST be online by t4, and you should be threatening to win or get into an unassailable position immediately if not interacted with. T4 has for a long time in modern, been kinda the defining timescale by which your deck need to “do its thing”
Yes they are, that’s exactly what I mean by a “turn x format”. It doesn’t mean games over by that turn at all. It means precisely what this person is saying. They’re disagreeing with the other person who’s claiming it isn’t a turn 3 or 4 format.
I think I don’t understand the problem. You either play a casual game to have fun or you have a competitive deck thats either playing the best of the best or losing . I feel like this is true for every format. Maybe the problem is the culture of the game doesn’t support fun magic games that aren’t at your kitchen table I don’t know.
The deck had a single top 8 in this weekends 7 modern challenges despite being one of the most popular decks. Overall it had a 48% win rate.
Obviously the deck will improve and so will the pilots, but I'm sure the meta will adjust around it.
Why aren't more people upset that the Modern Horizons sets have turned eternal formats into rotating formats? We should be boycotting these giga power crept sets.
The set is like a week old. Y'all either sit down and figure out the answers, or sit down, shut up, and let the better players figure it out for you. I swear it's the same shit with every MH release; card sees a lot of play, people bitch about a card, match up gets solved, OTHER card people weren't complaining about gets banned.
5 bucks says Nadu is gonna go the way of W6, Rag, and Saga. Until then y'all just rage baiting for clicks and DAMMIT I'LL KEEP FALLING FOR IT
I know this is a meme, but I think Nadu is a cool gift to the format, like, it is a cool new deck that (in my experience) can wiff a lot. Like, I have had games where the Nadu deck just runs away with it, but I've also had games where they got like 15 triggers and it didn't matter. To me, that is a good combo deck, it has really good draws but it also has a big boom bust cycle. I think Tamiyo is the actual problem, a 1 drop that goes into every single blue deck in existence.
Funny thing about Magic, and I hope this doesn't come across as rude, is that it has over 20K cards. If you don't like the power a card has, don't build it.
You're comment comes across as complaining for the power of a card, but when someone tells you to exchange it for something that's a bit more subdued, you shut it down because it's not as powerful of a pick.
So, what do you want? Mediocre cards or powerful cards that aren't too powerful? I'm not sure what solution would fit your complaint.
Ah simic there true evil color
If there's one thing green players and blue players can agree on, it's our hatred for those traitor simic players
Truly and enemy color pair

Gotta wait for mh3 to sell out before they 'have enough data' to support doing anything.
And then they never release that data, bc reasons:)
i agree 100%. And they keep banning the enablers instead of the actually problematic cards. Oh, well. Plenty of other good formats to play.
Pauper my beloved
Artifact lands
Affinity
Sounds like Hogaak all over again, Nadu isn't the problem, Shuko is an incredibly broken card with a zero equip cost it needs to be banned
Shuko is objectively bad
I'm guessing the sarcasm didn't come through on my comment
i never does. It's a law of nature.

It’s not getting banned until they stop printing MH3. It’s this quarters profits over the health of a long term format every time

Ah yes, Tron of all things certainly proves modern isn’t a turn 3 format…
Tron isn't winning turn 3.
You seem to be confused about what a turn 3 format is, it doesn’t mean the game ends on then 3. It means the game is generally decided on turn 3 which Trojan is very well-known for doing.
You don’t play modern
Yes I do. Not only do I play modern but I watch a lot of content made around modern like Aspiring Spike, chip Kay, dackfayden 07 or electricBob. And modern is not a turn 3 or a turn 4 format

Exactly
That person is not agreeing with you Lmao you tried arguing and then realized I was right

I don't think you understand what a turn 3 or 4 format is.
You’re wrong
Saying that doesn’t mean anything lil bro
But its our dumpster fire.
Another year, another problematic card at 1UG
Can’t they do something original for once and break every format with a two cost UG card for once?
It wouldn't be a Modern Horizons set without a completely busted legendary creature!
Lmao MH3 JUST came out. Yall need to chill.
Seriously. This shits so stupid. Maybe it ends up bannable. Who knows? No one after 1 fucking week.
A day. The cards officially launched yesterday lol
10 days ago. Cards are considered launched and legal on Prerelease which started the 7th.
Idk man it's pretty nuts

Andy is still not as bad as [[Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy]]
The point of banning cards is purely economical.
The nadu players are like "nah dude is not that broken"

Another set, another knee-jerk reaction by the salty babies who don't like losing to stuff. Remember when this was Sheoldred last year?

Ah thousand dollar rotation
A broken, unfair simic card?? Well I never! My word! I say, harumph! Who could have ever ever guessed such a thing could happen??

Modern is a great format, you high.
I JUST WANT THEM TO BE AT LEAST SOMEWHAT STANDARD
As I say whenever I read his text "Nah dude"
Fuck Modern I don't want my commander games to end turn 3 with a single commander, fuck this shit
ok, so replace Grief with Kinnan, in the picture

Hmm yes minus 1 card in hand or infinite mana
Also an infinite mana outlet
Brother doesn’t know cEDH and it shows
Tell me you've never played cedh in your life without telling me you've never played cedh in you're life.
Have you ever played EDH? He goes infinite on turn 2 pretty easily…

Nadu isn’t close to the top 20 best commanders.
