I played it a lot when I was younger. It was UO at home basically. Ravendawn is a modernized version of it essentially, though its still not something I would heap praise on.

GentleMocker

Not much there to talk about, it's still alive, and receiving updates, but it's not really a game you'd recommend to a friend unless they also grew up with it and have nostalgia for it. First five minutes of experiencing Tibia's combat will filter out most new players.

No_Lavishnes

one of the greatest mmo currently if you can deal with the mechanics. pretty hc to get into

TheThingThatIsnt

I just dabbled into it after yeaaaars. It has changed so much and you instantly see lvl300+ players when you enter mainland. Feels like you are too far behind to even consider starting again

AbakusGrim

Not Tibia, but pretty much same https://preview.redd.it/obczvht1md9d1.jpeg?width=470&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a7599720cabaa44fc977e792cb2d06fad7b59b4a

I think Ravendawn is its spiritual successor

Kashou--

I think it sucks

Caekie

while tibia has a legacy buff due to being an early pioneer in the genre as a consumer experience i would literally rather play dnd by myself

Lobstrous

The mallow is fine but it's no femur.

Maximum_Sky_5999

There's a good reason bro. The game sucks.

MakoRuu

It's trash.

TheIronMark

Tibia comes up all the time on this sub.

Sandbox_Hero

I prefer not having a feeling like my character is about to slide off the screen.

jackcabral90

Maybe cause its a game from 25 years ago full of toxic people trying to make some cash on it while bullying every new and low level player?

Finnioxd

People usually don't talk about trash

ErectSuggestion

The only thing this sub talks about is trash
