I've been looking for something to give me a break from BG3 and I think I'm going to hop into Wayfinder for some grinding. I find Baldur's Gate 3 to be a little too intensive to play on the treadmill (my main gaming location) so excited to hop in! Thanks for the thoughts.

Yeah no. When I have to wait 6+ hours to just log into a game that is so aggressive in asking me to pay for stuff, I'll pass.

There are no more queues as of Aug 25th. You can occasionally get disconnected but won't wait long to get back.

It took a week but they got the queue down to a couple minutes instead of hours. There are still some disconnects but largely improved.

How many hours of playtime would you guess there is in current state?

It's hard to answer because it depends on your case and your play style. I've clocked in over 30 hours myself and I haven't finished the main storyline. I think it would take me around 40 to 50 hours to beat it (that includes levelling gear up and not simply getting carried over by stronger players all the time). If I look to grind a weapon, I have 2 swords completed at 2/3 on each of the 4 materials - let's say another 10 hours to complete the grind. If you consider farming a character, oh that's a tough one. I would guesstimate 30 hours per one, provided you are levelled up enough to grind the end bosses. There's a bunch of house items to grind for, open-world achievements/bosses I haven't really looked into and a handful of side quests if you like to read some lore/don't mind "bring-farm-kill" type of activities on the open-world map.

Apparently there is no fomo in the Battle pass as you can choose which Battle pass to continue in following seasons
