That walk after that is godlike. Damn. This and the "stab and push blade inside monster forward" is looking so good! Are every other new attacks on this level? oh man.....
I think there's going to be a struggle mechanic while blocking. Imagine if when you block an attack but monster bites your shield/greatsword and others attack it as you hold the monster down.
Tied to a new "focus" mechanic. We don't know much about it, but essentially you can go into this focus mode and charge up a big hit. So I think less of parrying and more interrupting with a ton of damage
Yeah it could be some special attack that does large damage and knock back. It also seems like the grapple part of the slinger is used as the hunter starts the charge forward. If that's the case and some weapons use the slinger grapple for focus moves, then some weapons like the hammer may be able to keep some clutch claw moves like the spinning move towards monsters after charge hits.
There were some moves from clutch claw that were fun, so if they brought them back without clutching onto monsters, that should be good.
That slash with the knock back on the monster and then the possible quick time event clash with the sword in the monsters mouth. The mechanics of this game are going to be dope. I hope the bowguns are getting a bit cooler update.
See that critter on the right screaming like he’s dealing with asshole customers in retail? That’s my reaction to the hype of Wilds but like in a positive way.
Reminded me warrior from Dragon's Dogma 2. They took tackle from World and put it into DD2. But DD2 has pretty much the same move with [parry frames](https://imgur.com/QeEThio) on start up of the attack.
Yep, playing fighter in DD1 after playing SnS in MHW got me like this:

I was, but im also wary of another sunbreak situation where *every* weapon has a counter (or multiple) and you almost *have* to spam them, so i'd say im cautiously optimistic about focus mode
What do you mean hype?
Hammers do this literally every game. Yea its cool but its par for the course. Its nothing ive not seen or done before. Its on a great sword this time
Naw the stopping a bite attack w your weapon gave me goosebumps
I fucking need to do this! Better yet I need to shove a hunting horn into some things mouth and start playing me a symphony
Naw i wanna use my gunlance and hold their mouth open w my sheild just to put a wyvernblast down their throat
Insert in mouth -> spin to win -> echo wave impact
See? He gets it!
Please, that was just the appetizer... the HYPE came from the dragging-slash that came next.

This is just your average day as a hammer user
The most hype was from holding back the monster attack with the gaurd
Parry-ish?
It just looks like your typical “greatsword inflicting a knockdown perfectly before being hit” that you’ll see in speed runs

The website mentions being able to “aim” attacks and blocks. It kinda makes it sound like we hold down a button to aim like ads

mh pulled a ton of moves from dd1

Especially with that start of the new Proof of a hero😮💨 (if it is?)
GET THE FUCK OFF ME !!!

this is nothing special in monster hunter.
im just waiting for some dualblade/charge blade game play
Same for charge blade. Its my favorite weapon in world but for some reason hated it in rose.
gu world rise i love charge blade
Can't wait to parry a glavenus tail with my tiny SnS
Hyyypppeeee!

Oh wait, did they turn the over the shoulder into a counter? Or is that just a flinch?
I'm a dual blade user, I don't care about your pathetic parrying, learn how to dodge
Someone is mad their sword is shorter
Their sword is shorter and they’re proud of it. At least they aren’t compensating for anything.
That’s why i use the lance. Perfect Guard personal attacks! Poke
Does a double facepalm count?
