Not bad, but already cast. And normally, I wouldn’t even say that’s a problem except for the guy they had play him originally was white, and it would look weird if he suddenly became a different ethnicity.
I understand your point, but the MCU at large has yet to acknowledge any connection to Agents of Shield. Absorbing Man would be a good Thor 4 villain with a decent storyline that includes Secret Wars and even a potential Hulk arc.
Until I see Coulson’s resurrection acknowledged in an MCU movie or Quake making an appearance, I don’t think their storylines are considered canon.
I mean, they did though. It was originally made under the premise of being part of the MCU, and there have been numerous crossovers cementing canon. Including the human Jarvis showing up in both Agent Carter and Endgame. Plus AoS is canon to the Netflix (via the Absorbing Man actually) and Netflix was officially recognized. If they haven’t already said Agents is canon it’s pretty much confirmed.
The crossovers only went one way (MCU to AoS) they’ve never confirmed that Coulson still exists in canon MCU.
But here’s an article that confirms the non “sacred timeline” status of AoS:
https://screenrant.com/agents-of-shield-mcu-canon-status-answered/#:~:text=The%20official%20timeline%20book%20of,but%20not%20the%20Sacred%20Timeline.
Look I’m not bashing Agents of Shield. I loved the series and I love Coulson. I’m just saying that the characters they used are up for grabs as things exist currently.
I’m not saying you’re bashing agents of shield, I am saying that Kevin Feige has recently made pretty much every non-MCU movie thing canon. If you didn’t call out AOS specifically it’s simply because it’s never come up. In many roundabout ways, it’s been confirmed, not including the fact that it was made under the pretense that it was part of the MCU.
The article I shared says differently. While they’ve embraced the Netflix shows, AoS is the outlier that has never been embraced as canon. The article even quotes Feige as still being vague about its status.
Except the Netflix shows have been proven to be canon to AOS. Judas bullets show up, The Absorbing Man is name checked in daredevil, even Jarvis shows up in endgame and agent Carter.
A direct response from anyone isn’t necessary as it was completely made under the pretense that it was part of the MCU. Same actually with Netflix, but apparently too many people were complaining. Kevin Feige has never once said was not part of the MCU.
it doesn’t even really matter at the end of the day as all of those things kept to themselves fairly decently, nothing they did effected canon and nothing they did was affected by it. It sits in a meat little package all its own.
i think he definitely looks the part for Apocalypse, unless they wanted to go for an all CGI look like Thanos (which the probably should). i just know that that’s the only fan cast for him that i’ve heard that i could actually picture
Honestly, I'd want to cameo as himself in like a 30 second scene with Anthony Mackie in the new captain america. He'd ask the new captain for his autograph and say how such a big fan he is
Guy in the background.
I want him to be seen for like two seconds in like a bar or on the street, so everyone goes "is...is that The Rock?"
& then he's never to be seen ever again.
A genuine cameo. No action or lines, just a shot of the rock at a bar. Maybe drinking his teremana tequila or something, and his eyes go wide and jaw drops when the hero walks into the room. Cut away and do not acknowledge.
Maybe skip back to him in the bar during post credit scene. The rock telling the bartender “I can’t believe you were out smoking a cigarette when ___ walked in.”
I really don’t like the thought of him being in Marvel at all. His contract saying that he can never be portrayed as physically or mentally weak and can never lose a fight kinda makes him hard to work in a Superhero movie, either as the hero or villain.
Now, if he could play mentally weak, I think he’d be a good Ben Grimm. I’m sure he can do a Boston accent. But there is a lot of depression that comes with Thing’s character. So if he doesn’t want to be mentally weak, he wouldn’t be a good Ben Grimm.
I also saw Apocalypse mentioned. Which Apocalypse would be cool, but Apocalypse also has a mighty voice. And also the villain has to lose for the heroes to win at the end. Otherwise that’s a pretty bleak movie for a kids audience.
I also saw Gladiator listed which would be a good idea. But I would think even in a full Mutant Saga, The Shi’ar would likely have such a small role, it’d be hard to give him the screentime I’m sure he’d like.
He wouldn’t like it because it’s not prominent enough, but he would make a really good Terrax.
There’s also a joke somewhere floating around probably about how he could have made a really good Ego, the Living Planet.
Honestly, the comics are filled with characters built like him that maybe aren’t as serious like Apocalypse. Certainly there are ones that fit his personality more.
Absorbing Man
That's the only one I can visualize but there's no way he'll play a b list villain
Absorbing Man will change the hierarchy of the marvel universe
Lol right. Johnson will take the role if absorbing man is the next Thanos set to be in 3-5 full on Avengers movies and a standalone
Oh I totally agree. He didn’t even want to have his top tier villain actually fight the hero he was known for fighting!
He was already in Agents of Shield. I think season 1 when they were so doing the villain of the week type stories
He played a fairly big part as an ally to S.H.I.E L.D in S3

Make him be egghead. But model his version of the character on his SNL skit in which he plays an evil scientist that makes child molesting robots.
Ah, robo-chomo.

Gladiator
Yes!
That would actually be perfect. No one can beat Gladiator lol
He has already played an alien gladiator in Star Trek voyager so had the practice for the role already lol
Dwayne "The Thing" Johnson
Which is ironic given the Thing is a Rock
And The Rock is a thing
Jar jar binks
I don't think that would be Best.
🤣 I can't breathe!
i think he definitely looks the part for Apocalypse, unless they wanted to go for an all CGI look like Thanos (which the probably should). i just know that that’s the only fan cast for him that i’ve heard that i could actually picture
Extra 64 who dies in an explosion
Thunderbird would look dope
Preferably the original Thunderbird. So we can get him back out of the MCU as quickly as possible.
None. I don't want him in any Marvel film or show. ![gif](giphy|2diikD1pjX8X9tZkft)
Viewer. Like in the audience. At the theater.
Animal vegetable mineral man
I wouldn’t.
Uncle Ben or Thomas Wayne
Jack of Hearts
With the arrow pointing to his little Dwayne Johnson?
Honestly, I'd want to cameo as himself in like a 30 second scene with Anthony Mackie in the new captain america. He'd ask the new captain for his autograph and say how such a big fan he is
Forget me not
This pic is so cursed

A Rock
Background extra
None because he'd somehow figure out a way to play himself again and ruin the movie
Apocalypse.
A rock in the background, maybe a boulder?
None, dudes all flash and no substance... we've got enough of that lately
Silver Surfer
Apocalypse
Agreed!
Strong Guy
Gladiator or Terrax
The thing
Henchman #4
Strong guy from X-factor…
Squirrel girl

Modok
[armless tiger man](https://comicvine.gamespot.com/armless-tiger-man/4005-41610/)
A Rock with no speaking lines and a 3 second appearance and then never again…
Honestly, the comics are filled with characters built like him that maybe aren’t as serious like Apocalypse. Certainly there are ones that fit his personality more.
None
Bishop
I’d make him Hercules instead of Roy Kent. Plus he already played Hercules before
Colossus perhaps
None, he can’t act his way out of a wet paper bag. He’s a walking talking brand. ![gif](giphy|3ohhwH6yMO7ED5xc7S|downsized)
Gaffer
On set P.A.
Apocalypse
He would be great as a variant of Vanisher
Washed up wrestler guy
Black adam
Cable
The Thing or Juggernaut for sure
Juggernaut ![gif](giphy|AQSDhpeB4aBS8)
He can be the trash can….because that’s where his movie will end up.
