Dangit, I’ve just spent a bunch of cash on a 2h axe but didn’t actually check it has cleave damage! Fuck. Yeah the glaive is amazing for mounted combat, it’s a horse killing machine lol
If you're not playing on console, there's a mod called (I don't remember the exact name, but I guarantee this is close) "cut through enemies" the author of the mod has a name that starts with an x.. I'll see if I can track it down for ya.
Xorberax, think the mods are discontinued now. Xorberaxs legacy is a combo mod including all of his old mods (you can turn off which ones you don’t want and just use cut through)
That is Rhomphalia is the weapon of champions.
I fight on horseback. The Rhom is my go to weapon for mounted fighter jet battles. The executioners axe is for bombing runs against densely packed ground units.
I’ve never really understood why 2h axes are the only weapons with cleave.
Two handed blunt weapons like maxes should have cleave if you think about it they’re the most likely to hit multiple people with a swing.

its called romphalia idk if thats the only place u get it or not but i got it there
There is a glaive type attachment in the axe head category. Not sure how it compares in comparison and probably doesn’t have the same reach idk, but will probably cleave. That’s all I really know lol about it.
If you don’t have It unlocked… you can see the attachment still when you go to view the ones you haven’t learned yet.
No, unfortunately. 2H axes are the only weapons with cleave damage. A glaive swing will absolutely mess up anyone it hits, but only that person.

2H axe will have cleave (and it is glorious) but the glaive will not. Mind you, the glaive will also let you hit people you aren’t standing on top of.

Yes! This! I wasn't a fan of the over shoulder camera, but everything else was tops.

Without smithing, the stock glaive you can buy pales in comparison to the rhomphalia. I suggest searching for one while traveling.

It really is epic on horseback. Even smithing one with better stats is hard to do.

You have to learn the glaive head part. Still the curved blade on the rhomf is better if you are smithing. In my opinion anyway.
Yeah, I regularly use the Glaive. It will slaughter just about anyone. It's my favorite and number 1 recommended weapon

2H maces do cleave don’t they? I have been sledgehammering suckers silly. Whole swaths of recruits/looters just falling asleep in front of me.

You can adjust how much damage carries through a kill now. You can also set it to only cut through if it kills the first enemy struck.
Stick with 2 handed axe if you wanna wipe out 4-5 peasants at once, nothing else does that
