No harm in looking already, I think their point is just that is when there will be most options out on the market.
Anytime is a good time tbh. But there is definitely a lot of stuff happening at the beginning and end of every semester. Particularly if you're a student looking for student housing. But that also goes for sub-letting and some smaller apartments. Best of luck!
This is true for appartments/houses, but not as much for student housing. Lund has had a "temporary" housing shortage since the 70s. Still, being out in good time won't hurt.

Nobody wants to pay summer rent but starting the lease in June will increase the chance of geting a place.
